So I never resort to this but I've been calling this location for a job they've had listed for over a month and I haven't gotten a single response, I have called and can't get a hold of anyone, and the one time I did reach someone and scheduled a meeting; I called ahead of time to make sure the manager would be there for my interview and they told me an hour before my appointment they where not in that day. This is definitely my favorite Starbucks in Calvert County. The service is always great and my drinks are made spectacularly well. Additionally, the drinks are consistently made the same --no odd variations where your fav drink tastes off. Everyone is also super friendly and seems to be really happy working there. read more

This is by far my favorite Starbucks location. I drive out of my way to visit this one. My drink is always right and made quickly, and the employees are the best around. I live in another county and this one is so much better than any of the many, many locations inside my own county. I was distressed to see some negative reviews of this establishment and felt a need to correct the record. The Lusby Starbucks ranks among the finest culinary experiences western civilisation has to offer. The baked goods are simply out of this world: fresh, delectable creations that bear scant resemblance to traditional mass market coffee shop fare. The refreshing coffees, teas and juices prepared by this cafe come in such a wide range of flavours and styles that even the most discerning palate will find something that delights. The decor is a playful twist on the usual strip mall interiors we've all come to expect of Starbucks, improving on the usual approach with personal touches like hand-painted signs that say things like "coffee" (a knowing, meta wink to us cognoscenti) and the can't-miss Lusby community board. Something I dislike about many Starbucks is their myopic focus on cleanliness at the expense of personality. Suffice it to say that the Lusby location does not fall into this trap! And the staff. OMG. One hesitates to use a cheap and pedestrian term like "staff" when describing such a talented ensemble of sophisticated baristas. This amazing squad is friendly, attentive and thoughtful to the point of turning any visit into a deeply spiritual experience. On my first visit, I asked the young woman behind the counter what she would recommend for an iced coffee drink. And she responded, "I don't know, dude." How absolutely, utterly on target an answer, on so many deeply philosophical levels! Indeed, how can any of us really claim to know anything, in a world we can never truly see objectively? And if we cannot claim to know anything, how utterly hubristic it is to attempt to recommend anything, to anyone! This young lady's answer opened my eyes to a new understanding of the universe. Literally the slowest service and the drinks don't compare to any other location. Came in to get Christmas cups, gift cards, and drinks and waited 10 minutes in line while 6 people were nonchalantly "working" behind the counter. The lobby was nearly empty but when I made it to the register I still had to wait while they chatted. I added a tip in good faith and to share some holiday cheer ... just to be disappointed. I go to Starbucks often but rarely this location because it's not close to my work but it is close to my house. Today I had my mom pick up my mobile order. My drinks were meh not terrible but I also got oatmeal with blueberries and brown sugar and agave syrup. They forgot the brown sugar and gave me almost 2 week old moldy blueberries. I'm sorry but the packaging is clear.. how could you not tell they were moldy?! Let alone 2 weeks old. I'm sorry but messy up a drink order is one thing but serving moldy food is foul. Unfortunately this location rarely gets my order right. When ordering the blueberry oatmeal, the past 3 times the toppings are not included. After asking for them, I'm provided the toppings for the other type of oatmeal. Often I custom request a coconut mocha macchiato through the app, because it's no longer on the menu, providing all the exact measurements, but they never get the ratios correct. Prince Frederick location is equally unreliable. The only reliable place off hwy 4 is in Dunkirk, and even though the customer service is okay in Lusby, poor in Prince Frederick at least at the old location, Dunkirk has excellent staff. read more

This is the most poorly managed Starbucks I've ever visited. I try to be mentally prepared each time I walk in to order a green unsweetened ice tea but most of the time I end up so incredibly frustrated, and I have left a couple of times without my order. Here is some free advice to the management team. -When it's 100 degrees outside, on a Saturday, you will need more than two people working. -When there are customers in the store, employees need to be focused on their jobs. -When it's busy, employees need to shift from second gear to third gear. People are busy and want to get in and out. -Tell the cashier to spit out her gum. The baristas are good but they sure do need help to get orders flowing and serve customers. Came in today for a quick bite and drink before an open house. Placed an order of two drinks, two snacks, and after ten minutes had everything but the iced matcha green tea latte. People were coming in, placing their orders, receiving them, and leaving. Maybe 15 orders passed through after us and all customers had their drinks made immediately. The girl filling orders with the pink/purple hair seemed to be skimming right by us and filling other orders with priority. Even the girl who rang us up (and over charged us by the way, but we were cool about and said it was fine) was making drinks and neither one bothered to fill the order. Finally got the drink and it was hot, not iced. We asked the girl with the dyed hair politely to make it iced, and she seemed *incredibly* annoyed. Checked the receipt to make sure it was ordered as iced and it was. Waited all that time for the wrong drink and then she acted like we were in the wrong. But no big deal, just make it iced, yeah? If I were making the order and I got it wrong it'd be the first one I'd fix. Nope. Let's keep helping everyone else and then leave. New people come in and start making drinks and no one bothers to fix the drink now ordered 25 minutes ago. Had to ask again after waiting a half hour, showed receipt and everything. Took the guy a solid two minutes. Well done. read more

This store still leaves much to be desired. I visited on a weekend, midday. They didn't have a line to order, but they had 3 people waiting for drinks. I was greeted quickly and gave my order. When I ordered iced coffee, she asked what kind of coffee I wanted. That's not a normal question for Starbucks... The iced coffee is already brewed, you don't get a choice like you do with hot coffee. When I looked confused and chose a brew, her coworker corrected her and she said she'd been making it that way all day. Yikes. That's just not correct and you'd hope their training covered that. Drinks took almost 20 minutes. Service was friendly. One of the drinks was lacking the requested sweetener but the others seemed fine. If this wasn't so convenient, I would never go because they're ridiculously slow and often inaccurate, but I have a coffee problem so I'll probably keep begrudgingly giving them business. read more

Been here a few times. The wait tonight was on existent which was nice considering there is usually a line through a place. The drink I got was amazing and exactly how I liked it. My fiancé even got a dessert. I on the other hand, couldn't get a dessert because they were sold out of both the marshmallow dream bars and the birthday cake pops... Sorry, but even around closing time - which was an hour away still - they should have a better shock of that stuff. So I was kind of disappointed about that. As I stand in the sea of people waiting for their beverages from this starbucks staffed with 1 cashier and 1 barista I can't help but stare at the cashier who's greeting to customers involves snapping her gum in your face and answering you when you ask how she is and offering no reciprocal friendliness whatsoever while exhuding an overall annoyance to be there vibe. Waited 20 min in line this past Sunday. I thought they were opening the second register to take care of the line, but as soon as that register opened and began taking orders the first cashier left. it boggles my mind that this apparently made sense to the manager and staff. There were 6 people working this past Sunday so I can't understand why it took 20 minutes to even get waited on. This is the worst Starbucks I have ever been in. The employees seem to be moving in slow motion no matter how long the line is.
