Brusters was a hit! We loved this place! All of our ice cream tasted fresh and creamy. Super friendly staff. I did not care for the matcha strawberry that my son had but I do admit, it tasted just like matcha (not a fan of matcha, myself). My other son had the dirt sundae and loved it. My toffee bar was very nice, and my daughter had the cold brew brownie which was great. Prices slightly high but not crazy. Lots of room to sit outside. Having grown up consuming the soft serve swill at Dairy Queen and Carvel the explosion of bespoke, quality ice cream shops couldn't have come fast enough. Southern Banana Puddin' Is Spectacular! My new fav ice cream spot! Seriously, if you have the opportunity and going to splurge on a different twist on Bananas give this baby a try. It's texture is light and fluffy yet with a creamy airy taste. Not too sweet and with some type of cookie parts mixed in with it. I forgot to ask what else is in it. I wish I lived in the area so I could have more opportunities to explore the other flavors. I will be back when I can. I have it in a waffle cone for approximately $4. Their ice cream is delicious, however I'd pass on the yogurt. I've stopped by Bruster's a few times now when visiting a friend in the area and enjoyed my ice cream each time. This past trip, we ordered the apple-themed flavors since, ya know, it IS fall. The caramel apple ice cream is delicious. If any ounce of you enjoys apple, please try it. We also ordered the apple yogurt (dutch apple crunch maybe?) and it ended up being more of a green apple flavor which is not what I had expected. The girl at the front window got smart with me after I asked her for napkins. Her response was I usually hand those out when I give your card and receipt back. You cant hand a 4 year old a ice cream cone with sprinkles all over it without napkins or a cup. It was somebody without a uniform on so they must have been a manager. While this may have been an honest mistake, when asked about the flavor mix up, they lied and said this was in fact the flavor I requested (chocolate birthday cake) and did not offer to correct it. Stopped at this location and had some ice cream. It had been years since I have visited a Brusters, so looking to try different things we stopped in. The line was about 10 minutes long and we got our stuff. The ice cream was good but Im not sure Id go out of my way for it. It was more fun than anything. We sat on my dads tail gate and ate and watched other families enjoy their visit. The lady in front of me ordered a large amount and she asked the young man to put some gloves on before he started to fill the order... bamm. I didnt notice that until she asked him that. This is not so much about their ice cream (which is definitely yummy) but more about the great service. During the holiday season, there's always the issue of what to get for the office gift swaps. Let's say that my choices over the last few years were not always greeted well - more like "WTF is that?". This year, though, I saw that Bruster's were offering gift buckets with gift cards, coupons, chocolate covered pretzel sticks and the bucket itself to be turned for a free container of ice cream. Who doesn't like ice cream!? What I didn't read was that they were taking orders for these gift packages for delivery/pickup later this month. So I was dismayed when I went up to the window and asked whether the gift baskets were available for takeaway and finding my error. The person at the window noted my disappointment and asked me to wait while she went to see if something could be done. In a few minutes, she came back and said they could prepare one for me and not so long afterward, I was in the possession of their largest gift bucket. I am very impressed by the initiative taken by the staff person. It could have been so easy and justified to insist on the letter of the offer. While I stop by now and then for the ice cream, I know I'll get great service from their staff. read more

This is the first Bruster's I have gone thumbs done on. So many things wrong here. And it's all fixable customer service. First clue was the person taking our order saying this was his first day. I ordered butter pecan ice cream with butterscotch sauce and he asked if butter pecan was on the menu. I said usually. But he countered with chocolate pecan and I said okay. He delivered plain without the butterscotch sauce and friendly like offered to add the butterscotch sauce. About 5 minutes later, I watch him take my ice cream OUT OF THE MICROWAVE. Apparently the butterscotch sauce wasn't runny enough so he decided to microwave my ice cream and the sauce at the same time. What he presented me with was melted ice cream with gloppy sauce. When I said the ice cream was now melted, it was replaced with double the ice cream and no sauce. The other three orders in our group took long enough that other wait staff filled the orders of the 3 people behind us. It's a shame because clearly this was a kid who had never worked in his kitchen at home or he likely would have known the fact that a microwave melts ice cream and that sauce should be heated, if necessary, prior to putting it on the ice cream. Why was he allowed to work unsupervised on his first day? Despite this, the ice cream itself was still tasty. But we will not be making this particular franchisee one of our regular stops. What should have been a 10 minute stop took about 30 minutes and we were the only ones in line when we got there. read more

Rude service. Wow. A bunch of teenagers who don't have a care in the world. Tips encouraged but not required? Who wouldn't want to tip someone who is nasty and rude. The place is dumpy and run down looking. There are like 6 flavors listed on the board, and it is all very over priced for some bland, poor quality ice cream. A message to the owner, if you want to keep your business in business, I suggest you try a lot harder in the customer service department. Stopped by here with friends on a hot September day. Apparently this place is a chain. They have something called a "blast" which is marketed like the DQ Blizzard.
