I had arrived early for my flight, so I stopped here to get some coffee before heading over. Service is usually good here as there's no drive-thru to divide the employees' attention. Nice Starbucks with lots of seating outdoors and a few tables indoors. I've been to this location a few times when I'm dropping friends off at lax and they've been consistently good. The baristas were friendly and made my drink quickly. I got my usual, dragonfruit mango lemonade which was great as usual. Also has ample 2hr parking it shares with other businesses. Only downside was the cleanliness of the restroom which wasn't great. I guess that's partly on the customers. Conveniently located, it's a great spot to grab a beverage before a flight. read more

I ordered a bacon-egg-cheese sandwich, apple croissant, and venti decalf hot mocha with regular milk. Cashier said milk was on a side bar. I reminded her that my drink was a hot mocha and she apologised then corrected the order. A few minutes later the coffee and croissant came up, still waiting for the sandwich--my name was still on the in-process monitor. After a few more minutes the barrista asked what I was waiting for, I told her and pointed to my name on the monitor. She replied there was nothing more to come on my order and that she hadn't charged me for the sandwich. My bad that I hadn't asked for a receipt so I couldn't argue. I visited last weekend after it has been closed for several weeks to remodel. I expected to be wowed when I was disappointed. This has always been my favorite Starbucks but no longer. The entire space is now for the baristas. There is no inside seating. I'm not clear how the patio will work in the Winter. I anticipate the sales dropping with only outdoor seating. There is now half as much space for people in the Starbucks, basically no room by where you pick up your drink, and literally nowhere to sit inside. This is truly a shame. Met a friend at this Starbucks location today for RED Cup day and it was a fabulous experience. They had the advertised cup available and were cheerful and positive when presenting it to me. I'm disappointed I didn't get the associate's name as she cheerful and bubbly with the cup presentation. The yummy and tasty drink arrived quickly. The inside of the location no longer has an inside sitting area which is disappointing, but there is ample seating outside. Plenty of parking outside in the shopping area. Whenever I am going to pick up friends of family at the airport, I usually stop by this Starbucks locations to kill some time. This store is located on a large shopping plaza off Sepulveda. Parking is never an issue, as there is an abundance of spaces available. This is even in the busiest of times. This SB location has just about everything you can expect out of any other SB location. There is one restroom, and you need to get the code from a barista. Sometimes the line is long here, both to order drinks and for the restroom. The former usually moves fast, and the processing time for my order is short. The latter, however, can take quite a while. So if you are looking to use this as a quick pit stop, you may be out of luck, depending on the time of day you come here. I've never had issues with the staff nor the other patrons here. Sure it's close to LAX while you're waiting to pick someone up or what-have-you. I went in wanting my caffeine fix and was practically turned away. My fault for going into the "Dairy Queen of Caffeine" (my term and you're welcome.) Here's what happened: I go in, there's no line. Great. I ask for a Java Chip Frappuccino. Can you add this banana [I hold it up and cashier shakes her head] I say, "also non-fat and no whip, please." I pay with the app, no receipt (it's not that hard right? oh boy.) I wait patiently and notice the barista not put in the banana, so I asked if he could. (I paid for it, and kind of want it in there.) He tells me I'll have to pay for it, and I let him know I did. Not only does this dude argue with me about whether I paid for a banana or not, but he dumped my drink out. I know it's a hard job, but I was NOT telling him what to do nor creating a scene.
