    Iced Gingerbread Latte (2023)
    Aaron S.

Starbucks at Rossio is one of my favourite Starbucks locations in Lisbon. It is centrally located making it a useful place to stop for coffee regardless of whether you're using the station. The interior is bright, unique and stunning, it is easy to understand why this is talked about on social media as being one of the most beautiful Starbucks locations in Portugal. Due to the location, it can get very busy here so you may have a slight wait to order, and then struggle to find a table, there is some comfortable seating available and the staff are friendly enough, speaking basic English to communicate with tourists. I was reasonably impressed with Starbucks in Portugal as a whole, while US/UK Starbucks cards are not accepted, it does appear to be well run and has the same board menu for drinks as you'd expect to find in any Starbucks in the EMEA region. Pricing was also quite good and worked out slightly cheaper than what I'd expect to pay back home in the UK for drinks. Even at this location, it didn't seem priced any higher due to being located inside a travel location, which I'd unfortunately expect back home in the UK for example. They're open until midnight which is great if you fancy a coffee a bit later in the day, again this is something you'd never find back home in the UK in such a central location. As someone who likes coffee in the evening, this is another huge positive for me. I ordered a Venti Iced Gingerbread Latte with no sprinkles, I did have to wait slightly longer than I would have liked for my drink due to them being busy and originally making my drink with sprinkles, however, the barista realised his mistake before handing me my drink, and apologised for the wait. I appreciated the apology and how he acknowledged his mistake without me having to point it out. 4* - One of the better Starbucks in Lisbon but also one of the busier locations they have.

Great location. Centrally located. Wondering service. Lots of foot traffic, so noise level Is high. Much better's selections on pastries and better coffee than the ones in US. Watch out for your belongings.

Busy place but slow wifi while we were there. The staff were helpful and friendly. The berry refresher was the regular deal. They did offer pumpkin spiced latte as well.

Probably one of the busiest Starbucks, and damn are the employees burnt out and rude. Sorry for ordering from you, guy.

They spoke English (not expected, but pleasant break for our Google Translate app) and offered to-go cups/containers, which was great for our continued adventures. Inside was cozy and had window reading nooks, a few couches and chairs, and a designated area for those with computers to sit. Fun signage and a covered glass enclosure showing off all of their amazing baked goods. Our cold brews with oat milk were smooth and delicious and the croissant with scrambled egg sandwiches were huge (2 meals for me) and the eggs cooked to perfection. Prices were a tad higher than what we've had in Portugal thus far at mom and pop cafes, but still less than in the USA.

I got their salad bar plus and Americano. The prices were very reasonable. If I wasn't so stuffed from all the food I had before coming here, I definitely would've gotten one of their buns. The only apprehension I have about working here again is the lack of plugs. Although I did see the staff offer to pull out extension cords for other customers. Great service, food, drinks, and ambiance. Can't wait to come back here when I'm in Lisbon again.

What makes it special is watching the pastries being handmade right in front of you, which adds a level of freshness and craftsmanship that you can actually taste. The service was super fast and friendly. The pastel de nata came out perfectly, with that delicate flaky crust and warm custard that just hits differently when you know it was made moments ago. The espresso was equally impressive, rich and smooth, and the two together make for a simple but near perfect combination. If you are in the area, this is an easy and very satisfying stop.

The crust was super flaky and the tart was nice and warm out of the oven, but I didn't like the flavor of the custard. I did forget to add cinnamon to the top, but I don't think it would have helped me personally. The woman who stood next to me at the counter had a nearly orgasmic experience next to me, so it's obvious that my taste buds are apparently off. I loved the patience of the server, who got confused when I told her I wanted to eat in but wanted to take water to go. Note to self...Portuguese folks want to have their "to go" as "takeaway." What I also didn't know was that there was no place to sit!! I scooted down the counter just like all the other folks to watch the bakers prep the next gozillion pastries for the day. That was interesting. Then, I didn't know how to bus my dishes. I just left them on the counter like all the other folks and went away. I wouldn't skip going because of my personal taste buds, though. Enjoy it for yourself and let me know if you have a different opinion than I did!
