Wanted to grab a quick cup of coffee after our ferry trip to Kingston and this location was pretty close to the ferry terminal . Was kinda crowded but the service was quick . Lots of space and tables inside the shop. Washroom facilities available . Cold coffee was good and so was the lemonade .. hot latte was the best . Parking is kinda crowded . As a barista I can't even begin to tell you how disrespectful the girl was working easter afternoon. Yes we walked in pretty close to closing but thats no excuse. we walked in and she looked at us and didn't walk over for about ten minutes. then when she did she didn't say absolutely anything not a "hi" or "what can i get started for you". NOTHING. So i proceeded to tell her our order and she walked away to get cups she came back and i said " we're going to be paying with gift cards" and she said "do they scan" all snarky and then scanned it. she then went to make the drink while we were looking at the cute cups because i collect them! i decided to buy in i really liked and the scuffed and rung it up scanned it and didn't say anything. then we get our drink and two of them were half filled with whip cream i'm not even joking. VERY DISRESPECTFUL. this was our first time here and i'm sure all the other girls are lovely but this one was very rude. I wish i would've gotten a picture before we dumped the whipped cream out but didn't think about it we were just so mind blown from how we were treated. read more

It took this particular Starbucks a while to get off the ground and start having customers. It's been interesting to watch it from before it was even bricks-and-mortar to where it is today after such a short period of existence in my neighborhood. I don't drink coffee, but I do like their green and white teas. I tend to stay away from the pumps of sugar that they put in them asking for one pump or often half a pump. They will kill you with the 4 to 6 pumps of sugar that they put in their drinks automatically. Starbucks's often my go-to place for a bag lunch to take to work. They usually have some type of power lunch that will give you protein, and a few other items to get you through a few hours in the afternoon. They can be a bit expensive but the convenience and the taste of what they put in the brown bags have served me well. The funny thing the staff are always so dang on cheerful. So I feel like they've been scripted because often they don't sound that authentic. It's kind of like this over-the-top enthusiasm for their customers. But I guess that's better than no enthusiasm. read more

Great location in Kingston. I stopped in there mainly for a restroom and knew I should make a purchase. I had a Sausage/Egg/Cheese Breakfast Sandwich that was made quickly and of course a PSL because when in Washington in October there is nothing better. The clerk was friendly, especially when I didn't have my personal credit card pay for a mug I wanted. Oh and the restroom were spotless clean. Starbucks is not cheap. I feel like I'm spending a small fortune on a special coffee, but it's more about paying for the ambience of being there. Great meeting places for business meetings or to get some work done. Bathrooms are clean. Places like these are always busy. My orders come quickly with no issues. Don't waste your time using the App to preorder. It will only leave you frustrated. I cant remember the last time that I had a preorder actually ready for pick up when I arrived. Might as well just save the frustrations and order when you get where. So, if you are not in a hurry (on your way to work) then this is a good place to go. This is Starbucks is always clean. The staff friendly and helpful. It's large inside with plenty of outdoor seating in good weather. There is a drive thru too. Depending on when the ferry comes into Kingston, it can be lovely and quiet or super busy. Finally Sbux took the opportunity to build drive thru on the same route at the ferry's busiest routes. The store is conveniently located close to the Kingston ferry. I did a mobile order as I was short on time and not only were the drinks ready before the estimate time, the staff was very friendly. The drinks were made to perfection, and as a daily coffee drinker and dental insurance slayer- (coffee totally stains your teeth so drinking it thru a straw helps to keep your pearly whites - pearly white) I was ecstatic that handed me a straw without me needing to ask for my latte :) overall- this is a great location for your Sbux fix. read more

I have never been a fan of big business (Starbucks) but I know what I'm gonna get when I go. This morning was the exception I stopped in at this new location and was pleasantly surprised buy the friendly and engaging barista. It didn't feel programed like allot of Starbucks niceties it felt real down to earth "organic" if more big business could lose the packaged processed feel we would all be better off. I came in to order and as I waited in the store. I was, at the time , the only person. After 15 my order never came. I inquired. It took another 5. Then she did not even remember my food. I thoroughly enjoy coming to the Kingston Starbucks. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. The coffee is always made to perfection...just the way I like it! My favorite barista is Tristan. He always has a smile on his face and is eager to assist me and other customers. He makes my coffee experience all the more enjoyable. The last time I was in, he brought around samples of a delicious strawberry concoction he made to all of the customers in the store. It was wonderful! I'm a fan!!! I visit this new Starbucks at least 5 times a week before heading to work. I'm amazed at the service, which is very personable and extremely friendly for a large company. so much to say about this Starbucks! fantastic staff that goes out of their way to be friendly and helpful, even when I've observed them feeling with dealing with grouchy customers... I am amazed how people can be so rude to people at Starbucks for things out of their control and yet this staff continues to be courteous and respectful. the manager, Lorah is beyond wonderful.. and every Barista that has served me there is personable, smiles and tries to make sure I'm pleased with my order...
