As a business traveler I had the most ridiculous experience yesterday. I ordered a venti coffee and breakfast. I paid with the petty cash my company gave $100 bills is all they gave me (not my fault) and Starbucks gave me $88 I'm basically all &1's. I asked if they could give me some $20's or 10's because of the stack of bills $88 is. To have to carry that around is outrageous. I asked the girl if when someone else's drawer was open she could get me some different change or ask a manager. The manager seemed on some power trip and told me no they couldn't. When In all honesty you know you have other bills. You do a lot of business. Instead as a Traveller you make my experience terrible. Starbucks. Do better. read more

We were in person and had to wait while they made at least 8 drinks to go for people who weren't here. When I asked when our one drink was, they said there was still one online order before it. Ridiculous. You should be able to serve people waiting in store before others. Then they messed up the drink and had to start over. We were on a road trip and drove off the interstate 3 miles to get here. Worst Starbucks experience ever. read more

Drive thru had 4 or 5 vehicles in line, so I decided to go inside. Inside, there were two people in line and an employee in line ordering. I noticed another person come in with two others, and they ordered after I ordered. It seemed like one of the three might have been an employee. They got their order right away. The other employee got their order also. The rest of us waited. I waited 30 minutes. I got two of my five drinks. Why didn't all my order come together. I asked. I was told that they were working mobile orders too. I was still confused why all my drinks weren't completed in order as one order. I forgot to grace Yelp with my 1-star review for the worst Starbucks I've ever been to. We travel a lot and stop at various Starbucks through the U.S. On our way out of Missouri we stopped to get a few drinks. I ordered three coffee drinks and a water. The guy running the drive through said we will get your water shortly. Then a shift changed happen, now I'm waiting 10 mins for a cup of water. The guys says hey she's waiting on a water. Again no attention to the fact that I'm now there for 20 mins. I asked the barista if I could just get a water she was rude and sharp and said yea you'll have to wait a minute. I said I can't sit here and wait all day for a cup of water I need to get back on the road. I stormed out and this foul miserable human being said in a snarky condescending way, byeeeee. Ordered food through the drive through. Waited in line for 20 minutes. Paid at the window then was told they were out of the item I ordered. Their excuse was that they were short staffed. They should've told me when I ordered that they were out of the item I was requesting. I wasted time and then even paid for the items and had to sign a receipt saying that they refunded me. This is the worst Starbucks I've ever been to there was 20 people behind the counter and it took me 15 minutes to order they haf online order app off and to top it off they got my drink wrong I didn't even tell them because I didn't want to waste more time this is terrible. read more

It was not good service at all. It took forever to get our orders and all we had was two decaf coffees. A frappe, and two pink drinks. It took 35 minutes. they also had so many backed up orders in the drive through. They also we're not nice to the customers even though they we're standing right in front of them. It was not good at all and I will not be going there again. The drinks were too strong, the wrong sizes and borderline undrinkable. My pink drink was grossly sour, had no strawberries, and was unpleasant. The frappe was almost black and barely drinkable with the amount of ice. I highly recommend the Starbucks in the target because this was disgusting and Ive never had such a bad experience. read more

Always a positive experience here. Baristas are friendly and quick, and have no problem with remaking your order if they mess anything up. I come in often to study, and there is plenty of seating with an ample number of outlets at each seat. It never gets crazy loud - though it will get very busy from time to time with students from the 3 colleges/universities in the area. read more

I was at this Starbucks location on January 29th at 3pm, my drinks took at least 30 minutes to make with only 5 drinks, one of which being rung up as the wrong size. The store was not abnormally crowded and the drive through seemed to be a manageable size, especially with almost ten employees. There were backed up orders in the drive through, and there were very simple orders that were not being fulfilled properly. The worst part of the experience however was the service. There was no one working who seemed to have a clear role and there was no one giving instruction or being a leader. There were workers who were clearly annoyed at the situation and were talking poorly to customers. When we asked about our drinks and their progress we were told that there were too many mobile orders to focus on ours. When we got our drinks they were not made correctly, there were 2 pink drinks that had too much syrup to the point of a color difference and a sour taste, as well as containing no strawberries. When our last drink was made after 30 minutes, an employee asked another where they should hand off the drink. They replied with, in a very nasty tone, "It's for Jill? Just set it there they'll grab it". There was no receipt on one of the drinks which is poor buisness practice. I sincerely believe some of the employees were trying, but the distinct lack of leadership of the management and the disrespect we experience causes me to write a review. I highly reccomend going to another location. If your looking for one close to this one, visit the Target location, or the other on Rangeline. This is not a unique experience of mine, just the worst, please do better. read more

I really don't know what's going on with this store. It used to be my go to place. Now days (2017/2018) the Service has really gone downhill. Only thing I can think of is maybe bad management or something. Lines out the door. Drive through lines that extend into the parking lot while the window attendants carry on extended conversations with the cars at the window or tries to sell you a superfluous product. This location is very consistent-- consistently the worst Starbucks I've ever been to, and I have literally been to Starbucks all over the US and the world. The employees are more concerned about their personal conversations than service and I'm amazed at how slow they are to prepare the drinks, even if they're not busy. As a previous reviewer mentioned, they almost never fill the cups full, and they very often don't fix what you order correctly-- and I don't order anything unusual. Unfortunately, there are only two Starbucks here in Joplin and the other location isn't much better than this one. I don't think things will get any better either because the employees here seem to think they're awesome. They just don't understand this is a service industry and good customer service is important. read more

This Starbucks has exactly what you expect: wonderful coffee drinks, expertly made. But that's the end of my rave. The staff here is abrasive. I won't single out specific employees because that seems rude, but 2-3 of them I can't handle at all...they are just TOO obnoxious. There is WAY too much furniture inside this small, narrow Starbucks location which makes it extremely cramped and noisy. Everywhere you turn, there is another chair or table; forget bringing a friend who uses a wheelchair or kids in strollers. There is not room. It is so noisy during peak times that you can't hear yourself think, or chat with a friend. You're better off heading over to Target (within spitting distance of this store) where they have a mini Starbucks adjacent to the Target snack bar, and tons more room to move and peace/quiet! read more

I go to this store about once a week. It is conveniently placed. The Batistas are quick and make drinks well. However, I am often left waiting at the register because they are doing other things. The atmosphere is nice and useful for homework. There are a few things that take away from the atmosphere. It is small, but that can't be changed. They have a problem with flies, I see 6 right now and I am bothered by them every time I come. Also the music is too loud and there are some plainly bad songs thrown in. There songs need a lot of work. I would go here to study or for a drink, but don't expect the nicest Starbucks you have been in. You will be disappointed. read more

A little frustrated this morning. I ordered in the drive thru and got to the window paid for a drink using a free reward. When I told the person in drive thru he said that they weren't supposed to do that and that they may have to reboot their computer...? Not sure what that was about... I have used tons of the free drink rewards so I was a little confused, but it all worked out so it's totally cool. I was then handed something that was not mine, I spoke up said that I had ordered something else the was handed "my" beverage. No problem at all! Drive on, took a sip and it was not what I had ordered. I proceeded to park and go inside to ask for my drink to be fixed. When I went inside I talked to the barista and explained what I had ordered and that this just didn't taste normal. The guy proceeded to look at the label (there wasn't one) and open the lid and tell me that it was in fact my drink. A little irritated I said well it just tastes more bitter than usual. He also seemed very irritated and kind of rolled his eyes and said it may have gotten an extra shot by mistake. He made me a new drink and then just set it at the bar and said nothing. I picked it up to try it, it was a little bit better but still not how my drink typically tastes. The barista had walked away to the back so I just left, more frustrated than before. As far as Starbucks goes this is a good one. I really like the staff, and the drinks are the best you'll find in any starbucks. I travel a lot, and this is my favorite other than the origonal in Seattle. Always a sucker for their Cinnamon Dulce. read more

Seiously where to begin... They are always out of the food that people actually want. Everytime I want a bagel or a spinch and feta white egg wrap they are always out! This tells me somebody is not doing their job correctly because it is constantly out. The manager is either mot ordering enough of the product or the staff are not pulling enough of the product for that day. It seems to me like the owner should really be upset with them because they are losing thousands of dollars in food sales simply because they are not prepared for the day. Also everytime I order an iced drink I have to order it with no ice because even when I say light ice(which should be about an inch of ice in the top, or less) they always put a scoop and a half of ice which half fills the cup. They filled my husbands cup full of ice when I asked for light ice in his Valencia orange refresher and when I told them it wouldnt work they scooped out some ice and poured more mixture in, but they put in the wrong mixture, I think they added lemonade, it tasted really gross but I didnt taste it before I took it home to him. This store constantly disapoints me in starbucks. I used to live in portland or, and the starbucks there were so nice. The people seemed genuine but here they seem blahhh, they dont care if the drink is good, they dont smile, they just dont care. Not a good starbucks, they make me want to find a different coffee shop even though I am rasied on and love starbucks, this starbucks doesnt even deserve the title. They make bad drinks, they are always out of food, its just a dissapointment to the brand Starbucks. read more
