I am visiting from south Texas, supporting local coffee shops! I was eager to try your cute place with a crazy name! Our barista was beyond rude! She treated us as if we were bothering her...it was not busy, no one else was in line. Only two people were in the shop besides us. When she gave us our order, she didn't even look at us much less thank us for coming in, have a nice day, enjoy your drinks.... nothing. Hate to say that I won't be back because of ONE barista... maybe she was having a bad day. I'll give her that. Customer service is so important. Maybe a bit of training would help. read more

Doesn't really matter because I don't get through Joplin often. We were out of town for a track meet and was so surprised to find Crazy Llama. The staff was friendly the drinks were wonderful and we loved all of the Llamas throughout the cafe. And had we of had more time I would have enjoyed reading a Llama Llama boom to my kiddos while sipping our coffee. read more

Something about this place keeps drawing me back! I really like their coffee and I tend to stop here more often than other coffee shops in the Webb/Joplin area. Anything iced is my favorite and I have never been disappointed with my purchases. It's clean inside and a friendly atmosphere. Also, love the llama portraits on the walls. I was home from LA for Christmas when I tried this place last week - glad we stopped! Such a cute little coffee shop! I wish small coffee shops in LA were this reasonably priced and efficient! Huge plus - although in a strip mall, this place is in an outside suite so it has a drive through! We used that of course. My mom tried the weekly special (peppermint mocha), I had a skinny vanilla latte with 1% milk and my sister had an americano. All 3 were very good! Unlike my usual sugar free vanilla coffee beverage at other places (ahem, STARBUCKS), the sugar free syrup didn't taste fake at all or leave that weird after taste in my mouth. Probably even bigger plus than the drive through was the strength of the espresso in our drinks. My sister's was so strong, she got the shakes! Definitely be careful with any of the specialty drinks here if you're sensitive to caffeine. It's nice to see the Joplin area getting more small, non-chain places like this! read more

This little coffee shop is well laid out and decent table space. Each table has access to an outlet with USB ports for charging all your electronics. The coffee is great and the service fast. The only downside is the practically unusable WiFi, speeds of LESS THAN 2Mbps down and 0.5Mbps up. This makes anything but checking email impossible and even downloading attachments comes to a screeching halt. This place would be 5 stars if the WiFi was faster and reliable. I have a feeling they need to adjust their guest network settings to fix this problem or maybe they are missing a zero on their traffic shaping settings. EitheI'll be back but if you want to get any work done or browse social media you'll need to use your cellphone data. read more

Reviewing based on one visit and two excellent drinks. My husband's nitro brew was fantastic and for me, this is THE best Americano available in the 4 state area currently. Very polite and fast service. Great modern yet quirky decor & extraordinarily clean (including the restroom). Free fast wifi too. My only suggestions to make this place even better? Stay open later weekday evenings (8 or 9) so friends and I could make this our coffee haunt, and offer a few more flavors to add to drinks (orange maybe!) For a newer business though, Crazy Llama's doing fantastic in my book. read more

The newest coffee shop in Webb city. The interior is so cute! Llama pics all over the walls. Love the tile and cool iron lights. Their prices are comparable to other shops. My regular vanilla latte was $4.15. The flavor was good. Staff were nice. A few desserts and organic teas. No flavors for coffees besides vanilla and mocha. They are expected to get some. There are plenty of outlets along the wall if you want to get work done there. However, the con of this cafe is the wifi - I have encountered severe buffering while trying to play videos every single time I have been here. oh Crazy Llama how I had such high expectations but alas another coffee shop in Joplin misses the mark. I love a good dark roast coffee...the earthiness, chocolate and nutty notes, and smoothness of a dark roast in my opinion is the best. But upon getting to the counter I was informed that they only brew one type of coffee and it is a light/medium roast. Ugh...really? i don't like the fruity and tart notes that light roasts tend to have. not even a second option? Not even as a pour over? The monster that is Starbucks who is bent on efficiency understands the need for more than one roast for different palates. So i go to my plan B when I travel and hit coffee shops like this. I go to a vanilla cappuccino. I'm pretty sure there was more syrup in that drink than espresso. It was wayyyyy too sweet to drink for my taste. Anyway, a couple small tweaks could make this place above average but as it is i wont be back. Sorry Webb City :-( read more

This was my first visit to Crazy Llama Coffee Shop, and overall, i was very impressed. I came in around 1pm, not the usual rush time, and that said, they could have treated me a lot worse than they did, as both boys on staff at the time had most likely been in the establishment taking heavily modified orders from less-than-hospitable customers since the store opened at 6am. I was very pleased with the kind and helpful service I recieved from the cashier, who was very understanding that it was only my first visit, and I didn't quite know what I would like to order at the time. He helped me to choose the Crazy Llama Mocha, one of their best selling frozen blends, and his favorite item on the menu. In the entire duration of my visit, the staff remained kind and helpful with an upbeat attitude all the way. I will definantly return in the near future, and would advise the reader to do the same. read more

I have given this coffee shop four chances over the last three weeks, trying both hot and cold drinks. Not one of the different drinks I have tried have I actually been able to finish. Cold Chai Latte has so much syrup it burned my throat, the hot Chai had so little it was like drinking a cup of hot water. The vanilla latte was so bitter it was undrinkable hot or cold. I have given this place my last dollar and will not return, and will not recommend to any friends or family. read more
