Perfect place for…read moreholiday gifts, to share a taste of Joplin with visitors, or just to keep around the house or office for a satisfying treat. Admittedly, my wife comes in here a few times a year to buy gifts but it was my first time going inside with her. She might wish I had not as I started filling her basket with goodies for the holidays. I'm diabetic so I also keep an eye out for no-sugar-added or sugar-free options. I was not disappointed, they have a mixed box of no added sugar chocolates that is missing nothing in taste and if people did not know it had less sugar they would never guess. Don't mind the location and the sketchy area of town, I would guess it helps them keep costs low and allows them to provide such great quality at reasonable prices. This shop is definitely worth a visit. And don't forget to watch them make chocolates and other treats thru the big windows across the entire side of the shop.

Owner super friendly (yes pun intended) and has all kinds of history about the place. There is tons of memorabilia in a cozy shop. There are a few seats inside and a picnic table outside. It looks like they are working on converting an old train car into more seating as well. The ice cream is so rich and creamy. We tried This $&@! Just got serious, Superman, zanzibar chocolate, and Blackberry lemon bar. We loved every one of them, and the waffle come is definitely worth the extra dollar! They are made fresh and in-house! Then, to top it off, they have a cease and desist letter from DC hanging above the toilet! To make it big enough to get noticed by DC is awesome, even if it's not a congrats letter! We will not be strangers to this place!

I recently moved to Pittsburg from Joplin and thought I'd give Dillons a chance over Walmart…read more Dillons now offers online orders and pickup. I tried this service. I spent $225. There were two charges on my bank account of $225. I knew one was a temporary hold and should drop off. Eight days later it still had not dropped off. Kroger customer service is a joke; they are rude and dismissive. They basically told me to go F myself and that they were going to do anything about holding my $225 hostage. It is now a holiday weekend, and by the time the banks open I will have been without this money for 10 days. Now I must dispute it with the bank and wait an additional 7 days. It will then be 17 days that Dillons/Kroger has held my money. At this point they owe me interest on that money. Customer service at the store is zero help, and Kroger customer service was the opposite of help. I'm still trying to find corporate numbers to call and see if they even care enough to take action. This is despicable and disgraceful and illegal.

Unfortunately I had Chemotherapy yesterday so we didn't get there until almost 8pm and when we asked this very nice lady Laura about the Deli she said it closed at 7pm. So we still found almost everything we needed and out of know where Laura finds us at the front and tells us she could help us at the Deli and she did. This kind of Customer Service is kind of rare these days but not at Dillon's. Before I became I'll I worked in retail and can recognize true devoted, dedicated employees and Laura is one of them. I took a few minutes to track down the Store Manager and shared our experience with her but this kind of over and beyond Customer Service needs to shared in public. If you have a chance, PLEASE drop by there and say HELLO to Laura. She's AWESOME!

So ignore the only other review on here that's a 1 Star. General rule when rating a place is…read moreusually one star for service, one for prices, one for food quality, one for the how clean and nice the place is, and a 5th Star if you feel like the place is just overall great. One stars are for if the place fails at almost everything, or if the service is so rude and bad that you can't enjoy the place at all. Giving a place 1 star because they don't have your kind of ice cream is ridiculous. Ok rant over. As for this place. It's got a good selection of ice cream. I think it was about 12 flavors or so. I don't really expect every flavor on the planet in a small town or it wouldn't last. Unless you're super picky, It's got something for everyone. The service is super friendly, and prices are very fair. Multiple cone options / cup sizes. They sell banana splits, shakes, Italian sodas, root beer floats, all sorts of candies, taffy and more. The place is super clean and very very nicely decorated. Maybe more on the girly side, but I'm sure if you brought young boys to eat ice cream, they are not complaining the place had more of a girls room feel. Seems like a great place for a group of kids to go with parents at any time. Lots of little things to touch and get their hands on, so maybe not so great if you have a grabby kid under the age of 3 unless you want candy all over the store. . They do have crayons at each table though to help keep kids occupied. Overall nothing I could really complain about. When my kids good at school all week, it's a great place to reward her with.

Personally, I am not a pineapple whip kind of girl but I love their more dairy-based flavors like thai tea, black sesame, or salted caramel! Their fruity flavors are truly a hit or miss for me but that's just because I prefer dairy over a sorbet soft serve. The reason why I love Pineapple Bliss despite not liking all their flavors is they give you samples. They don't judge if you ask for more than 2 samples. And their serving size is huge! The small is only $2ish and it fills me up. It's more of a meal than a post-meal dessert but I am absolutely okay with it (more for the next day, ya feel!). Recently, I had their mango with chamoy and tajin and it was perfection! I will definitely go back when they bring mango back!
