This shop hands down, is why I am on track to graduate early. This weekend, two of the staff members have started telling customers that 'oat milk does not foam'. When I was told this, I thought they meant that oat milk does not foam 'well'. I was mistaken. I received a drink which had no foam. The quality is comparable to a latte which has been microwaved for a warm-up after 40 minutes: Flat. Dull. Disappointing. What happened to the froth? The effervescence? The reason I don't make coffee myself and just add creamer is because I feel the quality of a latte or cappuccino from a coffee shop is worth more than any money I would save making a subpar coffee at home. I love this coffee shop, but I cannot be a patron of this business while this false narrative, born from necessity (milk supplier change perhaps...?) or from laziness, I do not know. The hours are unposted and a little odd, but I've had good luck getting in every time I go. I love all the white equipment which brightens up the space, and the smile on the barista (who I believe is also the owner) finishes lighting up the place. Even with my random travel schedule, she always remembers my name and my drink order. On this stop, I found out that the owner has recently started roasting coffee as well. I had an amazing cup of Guatemala coffee that she had roasted. So smooth, very aromatic and the tasting notes were spot on.
