Came here to this only open once day a week bakery to try out their very exclusive breads. Bread here is pretty reasonably priced and the whole bakery is in a very cozy with classy/period fixings. It was all very charming. Their doors open at 10AM and they're open until 2 or sell out. I tried several of the seasonal items since they change them every month and also have special events. What I tried Dec 2019; Christmas croissant; everything is very buttery but this especially so. Crisp outside and soft inside. They also have gingerbread crumbs sprinkled on top that was a great seasonal addition Minced meat hand pies; savory and absolutely delicious. They would've been better straight out of the oven and were a little room temp but it was a cold day. I bought a bunch home to have later and rewarmed them up. They were amazing Kale and goat cheese tart; great savory bread with some ingredients to give it a bit more flair loved it. Also bought the garlic and rosemary focaccia for home with some pesto that was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend coming on a Saturday for their bread. Come early to get your pick since it's very limited. Careful if you buy a lot it can rack up to quite a bit. I spent 60 dollars for 2 people but we bought enough bread for a week!

I LOVE this bakery!! I'm new in town and did not expect Joplin to have such a good bakery. Forest + Field is so unique with their ingredients. They put a twist on a classic pastry! I also love the vibe of the sitting are. It's super cute! The staff is also so wonderful. They gave me such good recommendations and helped whenever I need to find the creamer or cups/spoons. Everything I got here including the fig sourdough is so tasty! I'm definitely coming back here for more :)

This place has a line out the door and around the corner on a typical Saturday. Snow falling all night and continued through this morning - I woke up anticipating it might be slow traffic in and out of this place. My mom and I showed up about 10 minutes after opening and there was a line of community members bundled up and chatting away outside (nearly 30 people ahead of us in line) as they wait for their turn to pick - I was told it was worth the wait!! As we got to the front of the line, we were greeted with the friendliest staff including the owner (who ran the cash register). This was our first time and they were ready to describe the menu and their personal favorites upon my ask. They have their classic items and then they have monthly seasonal spin on their favorite breads and pastries. With sweet and savory options, there is a unique taste in each classic item. They will take you to Flavor Town!!! You can tell they are made with love. I grabbed a variety of pastries and have them rated below. 1. Classic croissant (not pictured) 2. Sausage roll 3. Almond croissant 4. Wine poached pear tart (seasonal) 5. Lemon curd Kouign Amann 6. Morning Bun

We love this place! If you're craving any homemade bread or pastries this is the place to come. The goat cheese pastry is our favorite and the baguette is awesome (same dough for the Country loaf so naturally that's great too). The bread bowls look amazing and we will be trying those next! They open at 10 on Saturday's and close when they sell out. Overall a very cute place & we recommend trying this business if you haven't!

Had to try the new place out in town so we went. Always up for a good cookie. We got the four-pack…read moreso we could try several different ones. We got the churro, waffle, gingersnap, and Twix. Loved the churro, by far our favorite of these four. The gingersnap had a great flavor as well. The Twix was ok. It was a good sugar cookie but just had crumbled Twix on top. If Twix is your favorite candy bar it would not disappoint. The waffle was disappointing. It didn't make me think of waffles when eating it. It just tasted like a plain sugar cookie with waffle marks and a dab of frosting on top to look like butter. I was expecting maybe a maple flavor in the cookie or at least in the dab of frosting on top. All the cookies were decent-sized and soft. Overall we enjoyed the sweet treats. I can see this place doing well here.

The service was friendly and professional, the shop cute, and the format is novel. I know these are popping up all over the US and many people love them but I simply did not like the cookies. We went in with friends who were raving about it and said they went in every week where they live in TX. So I was expecting something amazing. I like a cookie that's a little bit crisp and a little chewy. All the various we bought were thick and cake-like instead of the texture I prefer. I have to say the cookies were all pretty, and the topping was well applied but like a cake, they require a lot of frosting which was too much for me. Most people cut the cookies in quarters because they are too rich. Again, evidence for me that they are too thick, dense, and cake-like. They even sell a four-way cookie cutter for you to take home. To me if a cookie is so rich I have to cut it up in pieces it's too thick and too large. You know how you can bake cookies at home and if you let yourself you could eat a plate of them? Or buy a bag of mini cookies at the gas station, or from the cookie shops in the mall and eat them by yourself? That's how cookies should be to me. Obviously, most people disagree considering how popular this place is. If you're a big fan of cupcakes I think you might love Crumbl. If you like cookies as you bake at home, the way grandma bakes them, at a mall-style cookie shop, or prefer a firmer, crips-edged but chewy inside this might not be your favorite place. But give them a try, they have different flavors every week and clever variations.

I was only visiting for two weeks but I came back 5 times because it's just that good. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The food is amazing and also really cheap. If you compare heavenly to other donut shops in the area it blows them all away. Also I know there are other reviews for this business, but those reviews are all very old and I wouldn't trust them now. You'll absolutely love heavenly :)

Maybe it was just the proximity to my house and the prospect that I could have a place to go to every morning and sip on coffee and eat donuts. The American dream. Anyway, when I first walked in at about 11am (they're open till 130 on fri through Saturday!) I wasn't blown away, but the cashiers did seem friendly, if a little bit forced. "Welcome to paradise!!" Paradise might be a stretch. Of the two donut cases, just one had donuts in it. There certainly wasn't the smell of fresh donuts wasping about and I would bet the donut making process was long gone. I think it's weird that donut shops neglect to use their most powerful marketing weapon, scent, except for in the earliest morning hours when no on is there to smell it. Coffee and drinks are located outside the cashiers grasp, which feels like a truck stop convenient store hybrid. You grab your own coffee too. My donut, an orange creme cinnamon rolly thing, was heated and ok, if a bit uninspiring. All in all, paradise is an ok donut shop if you are looking to get donuts and get out. The chairs are ultra basic and the tables too. I didn't see many power outlets but don't bother plugging in, there isn't wifi. Just another 'meh' donut shop.

My wife, the cookie devotee indicated the cookies we tried were very good to her too. You can often tell if we liked a place if we start telling other people to go check it out or want to take our adult children there. We have been bragging about this place for a week and are anxious to go back and try it again. The service was fast and patient with our questions and indecision. There were other items to purchase around the shop like tea towels and gift boxes of treats. I'm always glad to see businesses popping up across Mainst and revitalizing the area. We were slightly uncomfortable with some of the people hanging out on the street in front of the shop, there seems to be a shelter a few doors down. I hope this does not discourage people from coming in. We also like that it's close to the Beaten Path Coffee shop a couple of food down. Where you will find the best hot chocolate I've ever had!

I actually haven't had a cookie I don't like, but I'm partial to the sugar cookie.
