I usually judge a coffee shop by its espresso first, then move on to a latte. A good espresso should be able to stand on its own without needing milk, sugar, or flavored syrups to cover up excessive bitterness, acidity, or the quality of the beans. I'm sure plenty of people love this place, and that's fine. But I think there's a difference between people who genuinely enjoy the taste of coffee and those who enjoy sweet drinks that happen to have caffeine in them. Eagle Brew seems to cater more to the latter. Nothing wrong with that, but it's just not my kind of coffee shop.
