Reasonable as far as Starbucks go. Pretty much what you'd expect, although their food selection is a bit limited. Service is fast and it has the typical Starbucks café atmosphere, including seating and free wi-fi. read more

Came by for an Iced Mocha the other day and it was a mediocre experience. The majority of the seats were taken despite the coffee shop being super stuffy... The order taker was friendly and my drink was ok. read more

Came here for the unicorn frap the other day! The drink itself was very alright--depending on what part of the drink my straw was near, I'd get either pure sugar or pure sourness. That being said, it was beautiful and I bought it mostly for the irresistible limited edition label. Although the drinks here are generally the typical 3-star Starbucks fare, the baristas are always super friendly and pleasant, no matter how complicated my order is. It's also always fairly clean, if a little crowded with students. read more

I'm writing this review for all of the Starbucks staff members who had to work during the weekend of graduations. The food and everything here is that of your typical Starbucks so nothing really special, but I just wanted to write this review to thank all of the staff here for working so hard that weekend of graduations amidst all the angry parents/relatives of recent graduates. I thought the staff here did a really amazing job of continuing to be positive and interact in a customer service friendly manner with people who were being extremely unpleasant to them. I can only imagine the type of pressure they were under, both needing to fill HUNDREDS of in-person orders as well as mobile orders that kept pouring in. Anyway, next time you drop by this Starbucks, make sure to tip them! And if you're visiting this Starbucks for a Dartmouth graduation in the future, just know that the staff here is doing their best and be patient!! And if you're not in the mood for that, remember that you always have the option to get your morning coffee/breakfast elsewhere. read more

Price: Just like many Starbucks, you can expect to spend at least $3.50 for anything. Atmosphere: It's New Year's Day and their heat is broken, but the staff is in good spirits. They say it's been broken for two weeks now. Hats off to them! Product - coffee - transaction: I asked for a dark roast that was smooth. The friendly barista recommended the Aged Sumatra fresh "off the clover" which is a new (at least to me) way of brewing where the coffee grounds are soaked first, then the water is pulled down to create the brew. The gentleman making my beverage was casual and friendly, and we talked about Zelda games. Product - flavor: the Aged Sumatra is smooth, indeed. It hosts a light body and is thin in flavor. Not exactly bold, but pleasant nonetheless. Give it time, and the dark flavor profile comes to life. I suggest waiting a few minutes before drinking as the heat makes the flavor. Rating: 4 stars simply because the heat is broken - Starbucks is at fault here, not the staff. Staff gets 5 stars. read more

Starbucks - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Hanover, New Hampshire

Normally it would be a three-star because.... well, it's a normally ubiquitous Starbucks. But in this area of New England, Starbucks as as rare as a Ruth Christie's. And for a dyed in the wool Starbucks addict, this place is a godsend. The Starbucks here is on one of the busiest corners close to Dartmouth College, which of course, lends it a little bit of an egg-head atmosphere. College kids, professors, intellectuals, business people, you name it. It does tend to be well transited and getting a table, even in the large store footprint, tends to be a hit-or-miss. Service is quick, efficient and courteous, and there is no chance of stale bakery goods because they're being replaced constantly. read more

Came here to grab something warm and wait for a friend. The line was short and I placed my order quickly. It's really spacious so I found a table quickly. I noticed most tables have access to an outlet so I assume it's good to work here. Overall, greatly satisfied and good coffee. read more

This is a nice location situated in the heart of Hanover. It's just a block from the green and main road. I haven't had a poor experience in this store when I take my yearly trek through Hanover. The nicest part of this store is that it is a Reserve Store, it has rare coffees and the clover machine to prepare them exquisitely. There is a constant flow of customers and I've never been in the store without a line or a bit of wait. So, don't plan to pop in out and when the students are around. read more

Great Starbucks tucked away at Dartmouth. The big historic windows make this store unique and comfortable. The baristas are friendly and as usual the coffee is exactly what I expect world wide. I miss the sous vide egg bites! read more

We stopped into this Starbucks while exploring the Hanover area, and it was fine. It was really crowded, so it was a bit difficult to navigate your way through the restaurant, but I think it was just a busy day for them. I think lots of people had crowded in to work for the day, as many people seemed to be set up with laptops and many of them seemed to be students, as it appeared they were in study groups. If you're in the area and looking for a quick coffee stop I would say this Starbucks is a fine place to pop into. read more

Vox Vomitus in Deserto. Corporate coffee shipped in on a trailer, not fresh. The good Lord himself is the only one who knows when this coffee was roasted! The coffee is consistent, I know this has been said before by others and I agree. I believe the coffee is consistently burnt tasting. If the coffee doesn't get you then the pastries loaded with artificial what me nots will cause / flare up your IBS. Do your own research, try the starbucks and the Dirt Cowboy Cafe down the street. read more

Whatever it was that they did, it worked. The wifi is now robust where it was pokey and unreliable before. Interesting to note, this place isn't swarmed with students... I think Dirt Cowboy still has a very loyal following and is, of course, closer to the campus. Seats can be found with no problem at Starbucks and most of them have AC. Plug in, power up and tune in. read more

Starbucks - Clover masters mastering the Clover. - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Hanover, New Hampshire

I don't rate chain restaurants above a three very often, but I really like this Starbucks. It's small but cozy and in a great location. There are a number of seats but it gets crowded very easily--it's great if you can grab a large table toward the side in the sun on a nice day, but those are usually occupied--but i guess that tells you a bit a bit about how this place seems to always be packed. Nice intuitive, normal line system, and the baristas are super nice. They actually remember my drink order! I love when they do that. Friendly baristas, coffee that's brewed quickly and efficiently, what's not to like? read more

Finally! About time Hanover got a Starbucks. Consistency, good coffee, FAST service, easy to order, great hours (for a town where most places close at 5) enough seating, free wifi...I'm a happy camper! As a Seattle native, I really get to missing the coffee shops that are on every street corner, and seeing the green Starbucks sign just lights a little spark in my heart! Hanover needs some more chain/corporate stores; I know it's a small town and blah blah blah local business, but at the end of the day, I value the convenience, consistency and reliability of a store like Starbucks. read more

Normally I prefer local coffeeshops over Starbucks, but I am actually very glad that we have one now in "downtown" Hanover. The coffee is reliably Starbucks, the atmosphere is cozy yet spacious and airy, and I can count on getting my seasonal favorites without having to drive 30 minutes away. It's also the only place open past 10pm in town, so if you ever want to feel urban in this area, this is it. And now that Starbucks serves Le Boulange pastries, my coffee experience here is even better. Downside is that it is in a college town and sometimes it's near impossible to get a seat, especially on weekends. read more

I moved to the area 2 years ago and there were cafes but none that I knew could consistently delivery a cup of coffee that tasted exactly the same each time. My Starbucks loyalty is dependent on consistency and I travel so much, it's a huge plus in my book. This Starbucks has Clover which is excellent. The service on opening day was fantastic and the team designed drinks perfectly despite most of the staff being first time Starbucks staffers. They serve hot breakfast sandwiches all day, a nice selection of pastries and the retail area sells Reserve coffee which not all stores have. For the area, the opening hours are excellent and, they have Free wifi and accept credit cards which most of our local cafes don't offer. It's a nice change and there is a wall outlet at nearly every every seat. Three tables don't have outlets but the rest do. I'll be here every day. I simply can't give this place 5 stars because, you guessed it, it's a large chain and that may cause other cafes locally to close. It's the nature of the beast. I'll frequent here but so will many other citizens of Hanover. read more

Since this is the only Starbucks in the area it's always busy. Unlike other Starbucks, the staff here is never hustling and the lines are always long. At least there is a Starbucks so I guess beggers can't be choosers. read more

About time Hanover finally got a Starbucks. The place is great - free wifi, consistent coffee and we can finally use the Starbucks card here. With the addition of another chain store, this place makes the town feel more 'hip'. Definitely a much needed addition. read more

Solid ambiance but I wish they were slightly better stocked e.g. Skinny peppermint mocha not sugar free. Not sure if it's just a regional thing but it's my go to drink. Never have a problem ordering it in any season in California. All the baristas I've come across are pretty friendly! read more

It's the only one in town to get a real Starbucks considering there is hardly anything commercial in the small town of Hanover. I can get my favorite coffee and free app of the week now without having to drive down south! The bearista is usually different every time I visit. So far they have made my coffee consistently the way I like it, and I hope it continues.... If you love Starbucks then this is the place to go! The atmosphere is busy a lot of times, but the aesthetic design inside is classy. It is a million times better than the Dartmouth bookstore or Barnes and Noble's Starbucks in Hanover! read more

Great product awesome service, the drive thru person was very friendly and refused to take my 5 dollar tip this was actually for the west Lebanon location but just realized I was on Hanover page they deserve 5 stars as well as they are always friendly, but despite being one of the busiest places they have the fastest service anywhere 100 miles either way read more

I don't understand why Starbucks can't train their staff to make a decent drink or follow a simple order. I went in and asked for a triple espresso with about an inch of steamed milk. What I got was a warm cup of espresso and COLD milk. So I took it back and asked for them to make what I ordered. What I got next was TWO shots and the rest of the cup filled with foam and steamed milk. So essentially a small latte. At that point I had no interest in waiting in line again to have it made wrong up a third time. For f**ks sake! read more

I have been loyal starbucks customer for 12 years. I have enjoyed the premium beverages and coffee products. I was on line with at least ten other cars at the drive up in West Lebanon New Hampshire. While we were waiting on line my sister needed to use the restroom. My sister is handicapped. This is a result of some very serious conditions she suffers from and she is required to take a variety if medications. While we were on line I suggested she go into the store to use the bathroom. There is no sign on the door, to say the restrooms are closed. However when she went In side there was a sign saying restrooms closed. My sister asked an employee and what they told her was the restrooms were closed because the store manager did not want to continue to clean the bathroom after each person used it. The young lady did say she would ask the manager if my sister who was in an urgent need to go if she could use the facility. The manager told her to go across the street or to another store. We have all at one time or another been in a situation where we could not wait another moment. At this point my sister went down the narrow hall an entered the bathroom to relive her self. Two employees open the door while she was sitting on the toilet and told her they were calling the police. My sister finished and come out to the car while I was still on line. She explained the situation. I went inside to speak to the manager. When I entered the store I asked to speak to the manager. They would not identify themselves. I went on to ask the emoyees how you deny someone in need the right to use the bathroom. There were seven employees behind the counter. A rude young man was the only one who would speak and this is what he told me. He explained that my sister had exposed herself in the middle of the store, and that's why they were calling the police. This is a complete lie and I asked if this happened show me the instore video of this unbelievable event. Darren Dion is the losers name who obviously does not know how to deal with a customer crisis. I asked again for the manager. Still no one spoke up. I asked these seven individuals what kind of people are you? At this point Darren made a speech. I was told to leave the store because I was verbally abusing the staff. I was also told that loosing my business was no big deal because they had a line of cars around the store. I was not verbally abusive to anyone, I don't think I was even rude considering the situation. What I will say is how under the health code If your opened, for business how do you decide to close the rest rooms because you don't want to clean them. I am will make out a complaint to the health department and the better business bureau. I will never buy another starbucks drink or coffee to make at home. With the attitude of thats stores employees good luck staying in business. read more

Place took forever to make me a blonde coffee (not a intricate drink at all). The baristas are the best and they always make the drinks right. When I'm trying a new drink, and don't like it, they'll always make me a new drink without hesitation and with kindness. I've never had a bad experience here. Recently, I found out that the Oprah Chai was gone indefinitely. While I was disheartened, the bar barista helped me find a drink I would like by letting me sample combinations of different things. I ended up going with a different drink, but this going-above-and-beyond demeanor is the main reason why I keep coming back. Thank you for the greatness! :) read more

I was looking for somewhere to read on a Sunday night and when I found this location on the Starbucks app I was pretty excited. There aren't many late night coffee shops open in Hanover on a Sunday night. The app, Yelp and even the front door said they were open until 9 pm. Unfortunately either all those sources are incorrect or the employees decided to close down shop early. A few minutes after I received my drink I was informed the shop was closing in ten minutes at 7 pm. This was pretty disappointing as I had just settled in to start reading. I'm hopeful that the manager will update the app and their front door with the correct hours or at least put a note on the door if this is a rare occurrence. read more

I hate to do this. I love Starbucks. I do. But this location is just so slow. They feel no sense of even mild urgency. They are generally nice. With notable exceptions if you comment on service, I tried it a couple of times. Not worth the awkwardness. I also wrote to senior management before posting this hoping all the direct feedback might take hold. But it hasn't. And maybe that's fine. I'll be back anyway. So will everyone else :) read more

This is a pretty subpar Starbucks, if you ask me. The service is much slower than is the general standard across the chain. More annoyingly, there's always a shortage of seating and power outlets, and the wi-fi is spotty at best, and non-existent at worst. If you're a Dartmouth student trying to get work done in a coffee shop environment, do yourself a favor and go to KAF, where you can hop on Dartmouth Secure and pay with DBA. read more

This location is ALWAYS busy -- somewhat surprising as it is a walk-up only store. In the past, they have had A LOT of employee turnover (college town, to be expected) and the quality of products and service was often sub-par. However, over the summer my experiences have continuously improved. The current employees are kind and the food/drinks are worth the cost. Well done for turning things around! read more

What a delight to have a Starbucks in town, finally. Great thing is that they serve just about everything that a Starbucks in a big city serves. Coffee and food is meh but the consistency is appreciated. What I love about this place is the friendly service. The folks behind the registers have an uncanny ability in remembering names and faces! Love the reliable and free wifi! (Looking straight at you, Dirt Cowboy! That's right. So what if you import your fancy coffee beans. Show some love to your customers. Hey...I think a bunch of 'em are over here.) Great mix of seating areas and overall ambiance. Though I wish they could do something about the windows during sunset. Starbucks is a good place to hang out. But there's almost nothing interesting to eat! Gotta love coffee or you're out of luck.

I am a regular shopper at Starbucks, spending more than 800$ each year when it first opened here in Hanover. Today I am totally shocked to shop here. I used mobile order, and the default choice somehow keep the steam milk choice but I changed my milk to coconut milk instead when making a hot latte. I wanted to do soy but somehow I did not see clearly and submitted. I started to hear two baristas giggling behind the counter by judging someone want a hot latte with coconut milk and have it steamed. First, coconut milk can have its foam if you are an experienced barista. Second, you should not judge people's choice by being a professional(?) barista at Starbucks. Third, if you are thinking something wrong, you should talk to the person to see if it is wrong instead of laughing. I suddenly realized it is my order and you can't imagine how embarrassed I was. The male barista did say he could make me another one with soy but I just did not want to drink any coffee made by someone who laughed your choice by mistake. I decide to stop shopping here from today and I will sell my rest preloaded gift card. read more

Wow. Haven't been back to Hanover since this Starbucks opened and was so excited to see this one on Main Street. Well the people who work here are incredibly rude. And I live in NYC. I had to comment on their rudeness is was that blatant. First Misti with an "I" was making rude comments directed towards my sisters and I at her register while we were ordering. And then to top it off the woman with short black hair was slamming things around and slamming our drinks on the counter and when she made both of my sisters drinks incorrectly she started questioning what we paid for before remaking the drinks. The drinks were wrong and she knew it. She remade them again and then slammed them on the counter. I work in customer service and I know even if you are just serving coffee you can still make a customers experience enjoyable. Good to know Starbucks hired the crankiest people in New Hampshire to work in Hanover. Word of advice, stand back from the counter so your drink doesn't splash on you when the slam it on the counter because they arw having a bad day. read more
