Instead feels like a coffee shop that is driven by God, which is a very important difference to make. The Foundry is welcoming to all and is a place of peace for all. Their space is quite large, with plenty of tables of all sizes in the back, bar seating, and more. There is an outside coffee garden space that is peaceful if you happen to be around during the three weeks where Texas weather is bearable. There are also a few tables in front of the shop. There's a room that always displays local artists' work. The Foundry roasts all their own beans under Porch Culture. The team behind Porch Culture seems to have a genuine care and passion for coffee roasting, which they obviously benefits from. Certain days in the shop, you can see them roasting and experimenting in the back. I, of course, had to leave with a bag of beans to take back to Austin with me. Recently, upon my trip back home, I had a vanilla latte of theirs, which was great, plus a cinnamon roll, which was delectable. They can get pretty busy on a Sunday before a Bethel service starts, but their team usually seems on top of it most times I visit and are all very friendly and talkative. I missed The Foundry. Space to study. It was nice and clean inside. I can see parking being a little of a hassle, but overall doable with the parking garage nearby.
