If I could give a half star I would. This is the 3rd time in the past 2 months I have stopped at this McDonald's. The same rude young lady has "passed" my food out the window without a greeting. She actually says nothing at all passes the food and closes the window. Doesn't ask if we need ketchup. No wonder these fast food places are going to robots. Might as well, at least we won't expect common courtesy out of them. She is a long haired blonde always working the drive thru. Maybe management should teach their employees some southern hospitality and manners. Shame on you. read more

Very few cleaned tables today. Had to walk around until I found one. Place is a big mess. No cups for ketchup. No lids of medium drinks. Bathroom had no soap and hand dryer was on its last leg. An employee walked out of a stall and did not even wash his hands in water, let alone soap. Last time to go to this place. Next, health department. read more

Terrible. Slowest fast food restaurant I have ever been to. lukewarm fries with no salt. Others had to return fries because they were cold. No paper towels in restroom. No napkins in lobby. Grouchy employees, two of which had children there bothering them while they were trying to work. read more

They still can't get my order right. every time I order anything with NO CHEESE they always put cheese on it. I swear the people that work there don't know how to read or don't care about their job enough to see what's on the actual ticket. Their management doesn't do anything about it either except for offer you a replacement. Honestly they need to have a way to better train their employees so this doesn't happen because if anyone has an allergy and they get the food messed up then serious things can happen that a "replacement" won't fix. What is sad is this McDonald's has went downhill since I worked there. I'm so disappointed in this location. read more

This is a bad location. Very slow service with multiple errors made. This is unfortunately a location to avoid.

march 28, 2023 at 6:45 PM we came through the drive-through at McDonald's in Gilmer Texas. Over the speaker the girl sounded like she had taken a sleeping pill and said what can I get you? Not hello or welcome to McDonald's or anything that had any resemblance of customer service around it. We pull around pay and they questioned our order and we confirm that we had ordered two burger meals. we pulled up to pay, and the girl stuck the drinks out the drive-through window. Once again, no customer service whatsoever. She hands us for drinks and asked us to pull around and wait. In about five minutes or less a guy comes and hangs with our bag of food and of course the order was wrong. Went back inside to get the correct order and had to wait, approximately 10 minutes to get what we ordered originally read more

AVOID THE DRIVE THRU!! They always get my order wrong. For example, for the second time in two weeks, I ordered a sausage McMuffin with egg and cheese. After driving home 9 miles, I found they AGAIN only gave me a sausage patty with NO egg and NO cheese. The Coke I ordered was so watered-down, it had no taste at all! The people who work here couldn't care less about you or your order. So unless you love being abused, do yourself a favor and stay FAR AWAY from here! read more

Even after being remodeled, just seems like a dirty place. They have some trashy looking people working that they need to replace. It doesn't make someone want to eat there when they look too nasty to make food. read more

Ridiculous wait time their self checkouts are not even open for one also they say they have chocolate chip frappe on the menu but they don't sell them they also hide all the condiments and soda behind the counter so you have to wait in line to get some more they run extremely short-handed ridiculous for McDonald's read more

This is my Favorite McDonald's by far. There workers are nice and fast and I've never had a wrong order there. I highly recommend this McDonald's if you're in Gilmer. It's way better then the Whataburger across the street. read more

Terrible. Unprofessional. They royally messed up my order. When I asked for the manager they said he was in the rest room defecting. (That is not the word they used). Waited 15 minutes for him. Still couldn't get my order right even with management supervision. read more

We dined in a few weeks ago. It was breakfast and not that busy we had a hard time ordering because the worker didn't speak English. Not only was there not a clean table it took forever to get out food. And then we had to ask for silverware butter and syrup. Once again he didn't know what we were saying. As we finally got our food and cleaned off our own table. We noticed a lady that also didn't speak English wiping down the tables knocking food into the chairs booths and never changing or cleaning the same towel. Drive thru time has recently become quite long. First time it was 12 minutes to get to the window. Second time we waited about 10 minutes so, while one person waited in line with the car, I took the receipt and went inside to ask for my food. They had 4 bags waiting at the window presumably for the people behind the vehicle waiting at the window. The workers were standing around talking. I'm sure they were waiting on something for the folks at the window, but is it out of the question to bring food to the people waiting in line? read more

Don't do it!! My son used to work there..rodents in the kitchen...food being exchanged for illegal substances...managers are the worst I have ever seen ...my son was asked inappropriate questions by Managers.. he was only 16. Terrible, Terrible Terrible! At first we all got out of the car to go sit down, it smelled so bad my young son didn't want to eat in there, so we went back out to the car and decided to go do drive through window. There was 1 car in front of us, I though it would be quick. Nope we were wrong... waited 18 minutes (almost 20 min!) for our 2 burgers and 2 fries.
