On the way back from Sacramento, with the scorching heat, I decided to make a quick stop at Starbucks. The drive-thru had a long line of cars, so I decided to go inside instead. Unfortunately, it was just as busy and chaotic indoors. Several customers were still waiting for their drinks and had to follow up with the staff about their orders. I ordered only one drink, but the young woman at the counter seemed confused and I had to repeat my order three times. I also wanted to redeem my points instead of paying with my card. However, after checking my app, I noticed that the charge was deducted from my card rather than using my points. While mistakes can happen, the ordering process felt disorganized and frustrating. The wait time was about 15 minutes, and during that time, multiple customers asked about their drinks. The response from the staff was simply that they were busy and working on it, but there didn't seem to be much urgency or organization. The staff appeared overwhelmed, with items being left around, empty cartons not being cleared, and employees searching around for supplies like syrups. The person taking orders also seemed to lack urgency, standing around during slower moments instead of helping improve the flow. The location itself is beautiful -- the interior is spacious, clean, and welcoming. Unfortunately, the service experience was disappointing. The app froze on me various times. I was driving on 99 when the app finally unfroze and my daughter was able to checkout for our two drinks. I arrived through the drive through 4 minutes before the due time and there were no other cars in front or behind me. The girl told me that I needed to leave and come back later. I asked what the difference was since there were no other cars and it would technically be like me ordering it there at the window. Then a guy jumped in the conversation at the speaker and said it is policy that the mobile orders come in order and even if I'm at the window they won't move it up and there's nothing they can do about my mobile order taking longer than if I just ordered at the drive thru. He told me to leave and come back around later. I asked if I could just wait at the window and wait for my order and that if a car pulled up behind that I would move with no problem. The guy said fine whatever. The guy working there was rude and with attitude and wasn't listening to what I was saying. He insisted that I leave and come back even though there were no other cars. As I was asking how to cancel my order he snapped "through the mobile app" at me and as he was about to tell me a third time to leave, a girl brought over my drinks. I understand "policy" but I wasn't bothering anyone by pulling up to the window and waiting (happily moving if another car showed up) instead when I pulled up, the guy opened the window to argue with me. The man there was unprofessional and rude. The girls there made my drinks well but the customer service from the guy was horrible. I wasn't trying to argue. I just wanted to stay inside my car waiting without wasting additional gas since I saw no one was coming through the drive thru. Instead he ruined my peace and my mood. read more

I am a big Starbucks consumer. I love the drinks and I work remotely often from Starbucks locations - so I get an overall sense of what the standard customer service standards are. Not sure who manages this location, but your team is not performing up to par. I can in to order recently, saw close to 10 employees working. I was the only person at the register. No one said welcome or we'll be right with you. I was ignored for 3 min while I stood there. I smiled and left without incident. I really love everyone here they remember my order all the time. A few times I forget something and they remind me. One day when a friend pasted away. My daughter drove my car there. Had no idea what I order. They noticed my car and said I know her order and she told them what happened. They made my drink and wrote I hope you feel better. Each employee who gets to know me. My 4 year old daughter needed to use the restroom so to be honest I was not yet a customer when we walked in. I walked to the cash register to ask for the bathroom code and the gentleman said, "are you going to be ordering something today?" I said, "I guess I have to for the code huh" and then he just walked away saying the code really fast with no eye contact and his back to me. I ended up ordering a venti iced shaken espresso since I had a deal in the app for any drink at $3. As many of the other reviews state, parking can be an issue at this location. There aren't many spots and you are close to gas pumps. There are lots of cars and foot traffic and on a Saturday night the outside of the business had a bit of an unsafe feeling. I had a mobile order and it took quite some time. The food was ready fairly quickly but the staff did not start making my drink until I was standing there for a while and they finally asked me what I was waiting on. They were kind of busy so I didn't want to interrupt. Ultimately the drink had much more ice than I asked for and wasn't made to my specifications. It did not taste good. The food was ok so though, I would not recommend making any changes to your order if you do decide to stop here. read more

So. I am still 100% confused why this location continually closes its lobby... even though the app gives the option for lobby or drive-thru pick up and they have amole room to distance inside. This creates a huge line, next to an AMPM with a drive thru entrance that backs up blocking not only a gas station but a car was as well. I considerate much?? Then, they constantly have a particular delivery truck that pulls parallel to the drive thru exit... that causes accidents. I have witnessed at least 3. I was one of them. Whomever is managing this location needs to unlock the doors and even out the flow and be fair to the neighboring businesses. It also sucks that they constantly get drinks incorrect... and refuse to open the door!!! So, you either re-enter the endless drive thru, call customer service to complain or just deal. This Starbucks is interesting.. I went through the drive thru and I was waiting for the person to speak in the box after a minute and no one responded I finally said "hello" and finally someone came and help me. So I ordered a triple shot expresso over ice with 2 pumps of mocha, 2 pumps of chai, with almond milk. (My version of dirty chai). And it taste great! A tip is to order the drinks by ingredients instead of the original drink name because it's cheaper! I took of one star because of the response time and also there service was a little slow. There was absolutely no place to park, horrible parking lot. And the lot was so narrow.

This is exactly what Galt has needed for such a long time and has been wort the wait. The inside is super quaint with plenty of spots to sit or have a meeting, the staff is extremely friendly and the quality it exactly what expect. My favorite drink is the strawberry and cream frappe, this location using a very nice strawberry purée which is nice, I don't recall other Starbucks doing that. (This review is made during Covid-19 Pandemic) This location allows Mobile Order on the Starbucks App, BUT you HAVE to go through the packed drive-thru to obtain your order instead of being able to walk in and grab your order placed ahead of time. By the time I got my drink from the drive-thru, the drinks were watered down from the ice melted. Excluding the poor management on how to make business more efficient in this location, the drinks made her are rushed and are either too bitter or too sweet than properly made drinks from other locations. I ordered on the app before I arrived and my drinks were at the pickup counter. My friend and I got the mango dragonfruit lemonade and the guava white tea lemonade since we were looking for something refreshing during their happy hour. I took a few sips of the guava white tea lemonade and thought it didn't taste as good as the other times I've had it. Comparing it to the mobile app picture, the drink was supposed to be a light pink color, but my drink was a light yellow/orange. It seems like they missed the guava part (also didn't taste the guava), and it truly tasted like a tea with lemonade. Unfortunately, my friend and I were driving away and I'm not from the area. I wasn't able to go back to the store and unfortunately there's no way to give feedback through the app. I decided to call them to let them know about the order, and ask if there was anything that could be done. Their solution was to come back and have the drink remade. I wasn't able to pick it up, but my friend was able to pick it up on my behalf. They didn't have anymore guava, but were happy to replace it with a different drink. I really appreciate that they tried to make it right, and were super friendly about it (during happy hour even!) Never in life have I ever been IGNORED in a Starbucks! Literally 8 or 9 baristas and NONE of them acknowledged us. I even confirmed that we were in the right area and then that's when another barista asked, "Who's working the front area?" A heavyset Latino guy said "I am I'll be right with you." As a constant customer, this Starbucks is extremely underemployed. I'm constantly waiting for my order, even if it's just one thing, for 8-10 minutes. I also drove back there twice recently from them making the Peppermint Mocha Frappuccino with Chocolate Swirls blended in incorrectly. No chocolate swirls were in the drink, and it was extremely watery. Luckily customer service is pretty good 90% of the time. read more

After a very long wait, and an avid coffee enthusiast I was delighted when they opened. On the first weekend of the opening we went. Where we were greeted with a friendly smile after 19 minutes or so of waiting. Which was not to bad considering the opening time frame. However once we got up to the counter we were informed they didn't have 2 things to make our drinks but asked if instead we would like an alternative. Ok, I'll accept it. But it's now ehhh in my mind. We go stand and wait for our drinks. 30 minutes it took. Seriously 30 minutes to get this drink that was recommended as a substitute. The toasted mocha instead of a peppermint white mocha. It was foul. Might be I've never had it. Might be I just was irritated with the time frame I'm in a cold area. While waiting I used the restroom... it was filthy. Ok understand your under staffed it's opening weekend. I let it all go. I'll try again after a few weeks. I walk out the door go to drive away and I see 2 people toss out their drinks straight out of the drive thru as driving away. I should mind you I went straight over to It's a grind because it's Sunday and the Coffee shop wasn't open this day. I get another coffee in less then 7 minutes which is what I ordered. I attempted to go back one more time after this. I figured drive thru because I wanted to see if this is how it usually is or just an off day for my first drink. It's not fair to judge a business in one try. Well, I shouldn't have tried. They again were out of white mocha, I got the pink drink instead. It was good but after still waiting a good 23 minutes in line I'm now kind of over it. But I still didn't get what I wanted and the Barista here didn't offer a smile or a happy face at all. Looked more miserable to be there then anything. Eventually I'm sure they will figure it all out. But I'll stick with supporting my other coffee local businesses. I love this Starbucks! They have been in Galt for over a year now and they have really learned quickly. Even diring COVID-19 their service is quick and spot on. They rectify any issues quickly without hesitation or complaint. I come here daily for myself and kids and only have had minir mixups 3x in the last year and a half. I love that we finally have a Starbucks in Galt. What made it even better is their employees. Always so sweet and very friendly. I make it to Starbucks at least 4 times a week because that's how friendly they are and always willing to work with my order. I usually ask for a Venti Starbucks double shot in a Trenta cup for that extra ice. I don't order it to get extra coffee or anything. It's NEVER been a problem til yesterday, I was told that it's not possible to put it in a Trenta cup. I told them, I have always been able too, I even ordered one the day before and it wasn't a problem. Good thing I still had it in the car and I was able to show the person at the window. Friendly staff, parking is atrocious, it's next to a gas station and I think it's only assigned about 6 parking spaces. Drink have been off here more than other Starbucks, but it's new, hopefully that will improve. The manager is a really sweet and helpful when drink isn't correct. read more
