This isn't my usual Starbucks, but stopped by with my daughter to get a few drinks. The inside is really nice - a fireplace, plenty of comfy seating. They also have patio seating outside. The drinks were prepared correctly and delivered in an appropriate time. The downside is that parking is a bit of a nightmare (there isn't much) and the drive through gets really busy and can overflow into the street, blocking the road. I've been through their drive through a few times and the servers have always been great. My experience inside was not nearly as friendly and one of the baristas was pretty short with a customer trying to figure out which order was hers. read more

Love the Urbana Starbucks. They do fun promotions--like rock painting for kid's, plant swaps and Yappy Hour. There is always something fun on tap at this Starbucks! They also have a cool two sided fireplace--that you can enjoy inside or while sitting at the outside tables on the terrace! read more

Staffs are very friendly and helpful. They get very busy in the morning but still deliver the drink in reasonable time

As far as Starbucks go, this is among the best. Lots of large windows south and east facing bring lots of natural light. There's a functional gas fireplace. The interior is nicely constructed with lots of wood and solid wood tables and chairs. The patio is large and pleasant with stone bricks and surrounded by trees and bushes with lower than average road noise. Though the nearby traffic circle generates above average honking... I'm not sure people understand the rules of a traffic circle around here. I highly recommend this Starbucks. read more

I stopped by before a doctors appointment - this Starbucks is 30 min from my home but their service is one I'd love to frequent. The barista that made my drink Kat, was amazing - she turned me onto a blonde shot which is less bitter than an espresso and had the same amount of punch. Great job Kat and whoever hired her. Any Starbucks that's open 24 hours a day is the bomb!!! I wish all Starbucks were open 24 hours a day! We love coffee! I'm pretty sure it was around 11 or 12 at night driving from Pennsylvania to Virginia when I saw the sign for Starbucks. Sure enough, there it was. My miracle of the night... feeling slightly delirious and sleep deprived, and the long line almost deterred me from waiting. But thankfully I stayed and the line moved quicker than lightning. Drinks came quick, and surprisingly (for that hour) they had everything available on the menu. My personal cold drink favorites are the strawberry funnel cake Frappuccino and white mocha. So good! I'll definitely stop by if I have to drive up and down the coast again. read more

Giving it 3 stars just because the staff are friendly and nice. As for the Pumpkin Spice Latte this year I've had two cups and both have been disappointing. Tasted nothing like the pumpkin spice we wait all year for. Hopefully it getting better. read more

I drove from frederick since they were open till 12am on a Friday. I've been here once before and they apparently used to be 24 hours. They didn't have that they were drive thru only on the app, otherwise I wouldn't have driven out here. Better call ahead if you wanna come here late, it was 10:30pm. I had to get back in my car and wait in the drive thru. Will update if this was a once event, some places I know do this cause they don't want people in there past 8pm. I don't get the concept of Starbucks. It's like adult soda. Frothy sugary with just a hint of caffeine. No more caffeine than a can of coke. However this review is more about this location than the concept of over paying for sugar water (hot or cold) And the location is terrible. If you can actually park in their postage stamp sized lot then play the lottery as you're one lucky person. It's always full with the soccer moms that live in the villages. The drive through? Hard to get to and inefficient. Usually Karen in front of you is changing her order for another flavor of sugar water. Thus causing back ups. In an area that is congested at the best of times due to its teeny tiny area. Easier to get your sugar water fix elsewhere. Yes I like coffee. Proper coffee not the stuff that can be found at chains. More so chains in such a tiny lot. read more

The store is not worth the trip. Lately the drinks have to be re-made. The drive thru line has gotten so slow. The staff seems to be suffering massive turnover. Miss the manager with the yellow Ford truck as he ran it right. Its worth driving up the road to the new store next to target for a better overall experience (taste/service). My buddy and I came here to get our caffeine fix. We definitely needed it, as we had some driving to do that day. The closest Starbucks that pulled up on GPS was this location, so here we came. This SB location is beautifully designed. It has a fireplace set in a wall of glass. The sunlight shines into the store and gives it a lively and energetic vibe. The store was very clean, and their restrooms were on point. I ordered a grande latte, and my buddy ordered a mocha. My latte tasted great, and standard to the typical SB latte. The service was friendly, and the waiting time was short. This SB location served it's purpose well. Five stars for everything. read more

Great location but the service is not great. Workers are busy and can't take a second to answer a question. The last straw was when they grabbed and order and just threw it to the counter. This is my first time visiting this location and everything about my experience exceeded my expectations. First, the decor and ambiance of this Starbucks is top notch. There are plenty of tables, high trips, and a couple of comfy chairs in front of the fire place for you to relax or get some work done. Picture included. Second, the customer service - WOW! All of the baristas seemed to great me with huge smiles and cheerful voices when I walked in. There were several people in front of me in line but the barista had taken their order and moved along the line before I could even reload $ on my app! I will not be stopping at this location again. It is difficult to find off the roadway. Other than the sign along the highway, there is nothing indicating where the store is. There is basically no where to park. Had to wait for someone to leave the store to get a spot. Because of how the store is situated, there isn't a nearby location to park at and walk from there easily either. The restroom had no soap. Ordering went fine. I am a very regular Starbucks customer and I am very familiar with the basic recipe for how the drink I usually order is made with the standard 2% milk. What I got was skim with the flavoring (2 pumps of mocha) being off as well. Upon seeing that my drink looked very unusual, I tasted it to see if it would work, but it was not good. I asked the barista if the drink had 2% in it. With what I will describe as an unfriendly tone, she said, "No, you didn't order it with 2%." I asked if using 2% milk was no longer standard. She then asked if I wanted 2% on the side, which, of course l, would not solve the problem. The drink was full and would have required quite a bit of half and half to get closer to what it's supposed to taste like. I told her that wouldn't work and she asked me again, very rudely. I told her that I would like for it to be made again. She said okay and rolled her eyes, sighed and slammed the new cup and various things around. I thanked her, but I won't be back. read more

Drive through can get backed up easily (the entrance is literally a cross road that funnels cars to the Starbucks, McDonalds and PNC Bank). While small, I find it easier to park in the lot, and go inside to order. Never experience any waits inside, service is fast. High quality coffee. read more

Love this place! I come everyday on my way to work. The baristas know me by name now (guilty pleasure!). I have a pretty complicated drink order and they get it right every time. The drive thru is pretty quick, but by 8-9am it gets backed up, so I place a mobile order using the Starbucks app and I am in and out in no time! I love the decor, the twin sided fireplace in the winter and spring is nice. I see book clubs meet here from time to time, runners who caffe up before a jog, and SAHMs getting some adult playtime to catch up with like minded friends. Definitely a community hot spot. Even my husband chooses to drive out of the way to come here after getting too many messed up orders from the one in Westview and the one on the golden mile on Patrick street is hard to get to. Parking is a bit tight here, but that would be my only complaint. Customer service is outstanding! It's so neat and clean, I think you could even eat off the bathroom counters (don't try this). :). Definitely 5 stars and worth the Starbucks premium prices. read more

I've had several so-so experiences with this Sbux location, but today's took the cake. At 10:45 am, which I thought would be a fairly slow time, the drive-thru was backed up into the cross street (as it almost always is). I pulled in to park--no parking either. This has happened before also. Just as I was about to leave, a spot opened up, but I had to really maneuver to get it because the lot is incredibly tight. So just getting parked took more than 5 mins. That was my clue to leave. Instead, I walked in. I ordered their new-ish Salted Cold Foam Cold Brew. Then I waited. The crew behind the counter didn't seem to be on their A game. Finally the barista making drinks lets me know they're out of cold brew. Seriously? You couldn't have put a sign on the giant ad for it in the store? Or let me know when I ordered??? No, I did not want something else. So then she indicates I'll need to return to the cashier for my refund--to wait in ANOTHER line, after I've waited for a parking space, been in line once already, and now you don't even have what I want. Nah. I protested and they did take me next for the refund. A classier joint would have given some points or something for all the hassle. Wasted almost 20 minutes. I went up the road, to my favorite 7th Street joint in Frederick (bypassing the insane Westview location where I've almost been hit 2X in the lot), got quick, friendly service and a great drink. We always use their drive through to order coffee and chocolate croissants. Our order is always accurate and they deliver it very fast. They also always ask us if we want the croissants to be heated which is very nice option! It's hard to find a spot to park. Being close to 270 and the population in Urbana, I think they need to consider adding spots to park. FYI we use our mobile app from Milage card and we get extra points (Mikes) for ordering from Starbucks! ;) read more

Stopped at this Starbucks for a online order and quick restroom break and wow. One of the best experiences I've ever had in a Starbucks. It is in a super safe feeling area, has a cute vibe with a fireplace, super super clean restrooms and overall felt way cleaner than any other Starbucks I've ever been to. Ordered 2 Cafe Mocha Grandes. One was filled to the top the other was half full. The only reason I opened the lid and looked inside was one was so obviously lighter than the other. Called the store and was offered another drink but was already on the road in a lot of traffic and it was too inconvenient to go back and said so. Was then told I could come back in the future for one but since the were out of almost every breakfast and lunch sandwich at 12:14pm I would not exit 270 for the convenience of a drive thru Starbucks that has practically no food options and feel fine to give you half of what you paid for. read more

I've been living in this area for about 4 years now and this is by far the worst Starbucks. Being raised in DC, I've been to plenty in my lifetime. They aren't friendly nor do they have etiquette. I use words like please and thank you and they don't say anything back. The community has become very diverse and I don't think they've adjusted pretty well. One of the finer Starbucks in Montgomery county. I will occasionally stop here whenever I harken to be on a trip northbound on interstate 270. It is conveniently located just a hop skip and a jump away though exit 26. The Baristas are friendly and always provide the customers with excellent service and each time I get my drink it is pretty much perfect. The place is spotless on the inside and there is even an outside seating area with their typical green umbrellas. What's really cool about this particular location is the fireplace to keep the customers warm during the winter months. read more

Very friendly workers... but sometimes that's not enough when you can't even get into the place. The location is horrible and only fits about six cars in the drive-through with the rest unable to turn in and blocking traffic from 3 different directions. The layout needs to be reconstructed so the traffic can flow smoothly and orderly. Also if you have a huge order... please don't go through the drive thru and hold up the line an extra 10 minutes- do yourself and everyone else a favor and walk inside when you are ordering for multiple people.
