Marylou's Coffee is a well-known Massachusetts coffee chain that has built a loyal following thanks…read moreto its extensive menu of flavored coffees and affordable prices. We pulled up to a simple, straightforward setup with a drive-thru that kept things moving efficiently, the kind of place where most customers stop by for a drink on the way to work or while running errands. The interior was modest and functional, designed more for quick service than lingering, and the steady flow of cars through the line reflected its popularity as a convenient morning stop. The iced coffee is what Marylou's is best known for, with dozens of flavored options ranging from classic vanilla and hazelnut to sweeter choices like Gone Bananas, Butterscotch, and Turtle. We ordered a few drinks and found them leaning on the sweeter side, making them a good choice if you enjoy flavored coffee rather than a more traditional roast-forward cup. The flavors were fun and easy to drink, and the prices were reasonable, but the quality didn't stand out compared to other local coffee shops. The menu also includes espresso drinks, refreshers, breakfast sandwiches, and pastries if you are looking for something to pair with your coffee. The sandwiches were decent and made for a quick bite, but the coffee itself was the main focus. Service was generally friendly, and the drive-thru made it convenient when we were in a hurry. The staff moved through orders with efficiency, and the drinks came out without much delay. Since locations can get busy during the morning rush, wait times and drink consistency may vary, especially at newer stores, but our visit was smooth and the team handled the flow well. The atmosphere was simple and geared toward convenience rather than a café experience, making it a practical stop rather than a place to linger. Overall, Marylou's Coffee is a solid option for flavored iced coffee and a quick caffeine stop. The large selection of flavors and budget-friendly prices make it easy to see why it has such a dedicated following, even if the coffee itself is not memorable enough to go out of our way to visit. It works best when we are in the area and want something quick, sweet, and affordable without expecting a specialty coffee experience.

My sandwich was practically tasteless and had too much egg white on it. It had three eggs on it which was excessive and it was practically all egg white. I would give it another shot and possibly order a lunch sandwich next week, or just get a bagel with cream cheese. My order also took a very long time to get out, and people behind me got their orders before I did. One register was also broken and couldn't accept Apple Pay. Overall an unexpected experience, but maybe I'll try it again.

We grabbed a couple smoothies and they were both blended well, good flavor and not overly sweet. There were two staff members on shift, took our order and got our drinks in about 5 minutes. The smoothie was blended well, no chunks just light and smooth with real fruit flavor. Felt pretty "healthy" haha which is a good thing. Needed a pick me up booster after walking around Xmas shopping for a couple hours! The strawberry breeze and mango citrus, i actually liked the mango citrus more, overall flavor just balanced well and felt more refreshing. The strawberry freeze had a hint of something herbal-ish not sure what it was but im thinking mint or basil? Either way it was a good drink! Didn't try the food but happy with our drinks!

Inside, Barnes and Noble is long gone and now it's just a standard rectangular single story space with limited seating much smaller than before, and not a great place to work. IOW, they just want you to pay for your drinks, slurp it down while perhaps gabbing with a friend or two, suffer the rather loud (70db?) canned cafe pop music soundtrack, and then GTFO, lol. But, it's still a Starbucks and the convenience of ordering online using the app so that your drink is sitting there ready for pickup when you come in, will keep me coming back whenever I'm in the area and need a bit of a caffeine boost.
