Cappuccino and the banana pecan loaf
    Kut M.

Popped into Starbucks for a quick break and grabbed a cappuccino and the banana pecan loaf, it really hit the spot. The cappuccino was smooth and not too bitter, just how I like it. Steve made a really good coffee.

I live close by this Starbucks, for me it became a good place where you can work leisurely over a cup of cappuccino

Off Alma Lane and Foster Square Lane, you'll find Starbucks. Both with indoor and outdoor dining. Service was friendly and efficient. I received my tea in good timing. On a beautiful, you can walk down Foster Square lane to the nearby park.

this starbucks has seating outside and inside. just a few tables available inside. got my usual. noticed cold brew nitro on menu. may try it sometime. brew: dark roast (m. 2.65) -going back to dark roast, has more body with little harshness. -service quick, few patrons in early afternoon.

Starbucks in Foster City on Alma Lane is adding coffee grounds to your coffee. So disappointed! It's disgusting!

Matcha Green Tea Frappuccino and Double Chocolate Frappuccino
    Loy T.

The Starbucks on Alma Ln and next to PJCC has contined to get worse with their drinks. I decided to give it one more try but only got another dissappintment. Walking in 13 minutes before closing, they had the drawer of the cash register on the counter. I stood between the two cash registers to see which one they wanted to use. One staff member took away the drawer and another staff member came to take the order. They could not find the drink name "double chocolate frappuccino" and asked if it was the "chocolate crumble frappuccino," so I said no. Then they asked another staff member for help to look for it. Both frappacinos I got were missing about half of their flavors, and the ice that was used seemed to be very old ice since they were only watery after blending. At the end, the barista also squeezed in the whip cream before putting the lid on, so the whip cream was not as nice looking as I have seen in the past, and the barista had to carefully and clumsily put the lid on with a large scoop of whip cream floating. One drink was double chocolate frap and it had the flavor of a cold hot chocolate, lacking the rich chocolate flavor that usually comes with a double chocolate frappuccino. The other drink being matcha green tea frappuccino was the lightest color I have ever seen, so maybe it was missing one scoop of matcha powder, and it tasted more like a cup of whole milk with slight matcha flavoring and way too much sugar syrup. I doubt that the recipe was being followed for both drinks. We used to go to this Starbucks a lot since it's nice and the closest. They used to have great customer service as well. Then we tried the Starbucks on Metro Center Blvd across from Costco and the Starbucks at Bridegepointe Mall (not the one in Target which is also one of the worst) and got to compare what a 5-star Starbucks can taste like with friendly baristas. I had to go to the Starbucks on Alma Ln because the Starbucks on Metro Center Blvd sold out their matcha.

We love biking to this place and enjoying the food at the outdoor seating area! No matter how busy it is, service is always pretty slow haha. But it's worth it and the pieces are great. The concept is fun, but in this case quality did not really rise above quantity. The setup is self-serve: you order at a kiosk, grab your own water, and utensils come out with the food. After ordering, you pick up a number stand and bring it to your table. That part is straightforward, but the menu prices felt high, especially given that HK-style cafes are typically more budget-friendly. What we tried: * Mango Sunrise: The kids enjoyed this one, and it felt fairly priced for what it was. * HK OG Lemon Tea: You can customize ice and sweetness, which is a nice touch, but the flavor didn't really scream "OG." The tea lacked the depth and lemon brightness you'd expect from a classic version. * HK Style French Toast with Peanut Butter: Served cut into quarters with condensed milk on the side. It was decent, but nothing about it stood out enough to justify the higher price, especially knowing there are more affordable options nearby. * Satay Fish Ball / Siu Mai: These tasted like basic frozen snacks dressed up for the menu. The satay sauce didn't complement the fish balls well, and the siu mai texture was pasty rather than bouncy and satisfying. * Honey BBQ Chicken Wings: Four wings for around nine dollars felt steep, and they lacked crispness and that satisfying HK-style street barbecue flavor I was hoping for. * BBQ Pork Char Siu, Egg & Rice: The portion felt small for the price. The char siu had decent flavor but was overcooked, the "over easy" egg came out fully cooked through, and the vegetables were also overdone. While this place has a cute vibe and shows promise as an HK-inspired cafe, a lot of the authenticity and creativity you'd expect from that label just isn't there yet. For now, I'd call it more "HK-inspired" than true HK-style, and I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to come back.

I came in around 9am and they were already sold out of some items, but I did manage to get my hands on one of their famous croissants! They were also baked perfectly. I definitely want to try more of their offerings in the future! In general, this place well deserves the hype.

I tried the cheesy twist, morning bun, and the ham and cheese croissant. I am pretty sure I tried other things but I can't remember exactly what but these were the stars. The cheesy twist kind of tasted like there was an Alfredo type sauce along with the cheese. It was delicious. One thing I wish I would have done is ask for it heated because I saw some other people doing that and it looked delicious. The morning bun was so good. It had a beautiful medley of spices that truly brightened your morning. The flavors were so balanced. As for the ham and cheese croissant, the star was the ham. The flavor of the ham reminded me of a thanksgiving ham. It was amazing! Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong with anything here. I regret not getting a full loaf of bread to take home with me.
