Overall, a well maintained and organized Starbucks. Didn't see any Grounds for Your Garden (used ground bagged by the entrance/exits) available like the Hayward location. read more

This Starbucks has become one of my reliable stops thanks to its friendly and welcoming staff. No matter how busy it gets, the team stays upbeat and efficient, which really makes a difference during the morning rush. It does get very busy at peak times, but using order ahead on the app is the real game-changer. My go to drink is an iced caramel macchiato with soy. It's consistently made well, with the perfect balance of espresso, caramel, and sweetness. It's almost always waiting for me right when I walk in, so I can skip the long line entirely. The store is clean, organized, and manages the flow of customers well given how popular it is. While wait times can be longer if you walk in, the staff works hard to keep things moving. got here a little early to our holiday party! i ordered a cold buster for my parents which obviously didnt show on the menu since there were no hot beverages listed on their menu when i told the cashier a grande cold buster, the manager had to tell him what it was by the time the order was complete, no one called it out, and just sat on the counter! no one also bothered to call it out again shows the sort of enthusiasm you would get for christmas day lol read more

I ordered a tall caramel latte to go for $5.95. However, the female cashier charged me $7.95. I didn't notice the overcharge until after I had left the store. When I went back to ask about the additional $2, she told me it was a gratuity. No one had asked whether I wanted to add a tip or how much I wished to tip. After I questioned the charge, they simply voided the transaction and asked me to leave, without offering any apology. I insisted on paying the correct price of $5.95 and then left. read more

This location can be a hit or miss. Mostly because it always seems like they are out of something, ingredients, entire drinks, spreads, snacks etc I ordered a bagel with cream cheese and when I picked it up got no warning they were out. So I only got butter, which is fine. But a heads up would have been nice. Highly recommend ordering ahead unless you want to wait. read more

Don't go here on Saturday mornings. The poor ladies try their best but it's a crowded place on weekends and the management has not bothered hiring more people. Also DO NOT order food here. Takes forever. Also I'm a vegetarian and all the sandwiches come pre-made with meat. Just a heads up. Starbucks is not vegetarian friendly. The Starbucks on Alma Ln and next to PJCC has contined to get worse with their drinks. I decided to give it one more try but only got another dissappintment. Walking in 13 minutes before closing, they had the drawer of the cash register on the counter. I stood between the two cash registers to see which one they wanted to use. One staff member took away the drawer and another staff member came to take the order. They could not find the drink name "double chocolate frappuccino" and asked if it was the "chocolate crumble frappuccino," so I said no. Then they asked another staff member for help to look for it. Both frappacinos I got were missing about half of their flavors, and the ice that was used seemed to be very old ice since they were only watery after blending. At the end, the barista also squeezed in the whip cream before putting the lid on, so the whip cream was not as nice looking as I have seen in the past, and the barista had to carefully and clumsily put the lid on with a large scoop of whip cream floating. One drink was double chocolate frap and it had the flavor of a cold hot chocolate, lacking the rich chocolate flavor that usually comes with a double chocolate frappuccino. The other drink being matcha green tea frappuccino was the lightest color I have ever seen, so maybe it was missing one scoop of matcha powder, and it tasted more like a cup of whole milk with slight matcha flavoring and way too much sugar syrup. I doubt that the recipe was being followed for both drinks. We used to go to this Starbucks a lot since it's nice and the closest. They used to have great customer service as well. Then we tried the Starbucks on Metro Center Blvd across from Costco and the Starbucks at Bridegepointe Mall (not the one in Target which is also one of the worst) and got to compare what a 5-star Starbucks can taste like with friendly baristas. I had to go to the Starbucks on Alma Ln because the Starbucks on Metro Center Blvd sold out their matcha. read more

Hands down the number 1 Starbucks in Foster City! The only Starbucks I had zero issues with to this day. I've been to plenty of Starbucks in the Bay Area and this particular location is the best run like a well-oiled machine! Everything from their chocolate croissants to their ham and cheese sandwiches are hot and fresh when made to order. The best time to come is during the weekdays from 10am to 4pm when it's less crowded. No matter which employee is running this location, they give their best no matter what. read more

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Same person at register is preparing food orders while there is one barista on a Saturday morning. Twenty minute wait for a heated croissant. After I received a cookie that was smashed in a dozen pieces; I politely asked for another; and a staff member responded with " It's still a cookie it's the same thing". I also checked on my order after 15 minutes, another staff responded with "it's not my fault we don't have enough staff". read more

This is not a coffee review. I don't drink coffee (it doesn't do anything for me). Any time I go to a Starbucks is because my fiancée wants a coffee. According to her, this Starbucks is average. They aren't very consistent getting her order correct. They are always willing the correct the mistake, but it's still annoying to try and get it fixed. My review is based solely on a sausage, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich. The best way I can think of describing it is as a "healthier" tasting version of the McDonald's breakfast sandwich. I enjoyed it because it didn't have a greasy taste, and it was nice and fluffy. It came out very quickly which nakes me assume it wasfrozen or premade to some extent. It could have been all fresh, but I have no clue. I just know it tasted pretty good. read more

This Starbux has improved tremendously. The only problem I have is the customers! Sheesh, they order a drink and it sits there and sits there and sits there, LOL. Then they finally say like, is that my drink? The other annoying thing is the dogs! Not merely to P/U their drink, but 'hangout' inside like they're the only owner of super trendy French Bulldog, Lol! Everyone has one in Foster City, so take your dog & drink and go outside. (But customers are oblivious or either don't care) And kids; so many kids! I love kiddos but toddlers & small children running around whining & screaming like it's a ChuckeeCheese. I've observed a few knocking over their drinks. One time I observed a parent walk out w/ their child after spilling an entire drink on the floor (not telling any staff) people walking around the mess for several minutes until I pointed out the spill to the manager. The baristas at this SB are amazing/tolerant and make my drink perfect everyday. BUT it can be a real zoo with the dogs, whining kids and people talking loudly like they're the only customers. I observed a guy tutoring 2-kids on laptops occupying 3 tables w/o any consideration for customers looking for a table. (I returned 2 hrs later and they were still sitting there, lol) Yes, this SB is convenient & professional. But the ambiance is ruined by obnoxious customers who refuse to use earbuds on their cells & restrain their kids and dogs. read more

Newest SBux location to open in Foster City! It's technically replacing the closed location a few blocks away (formerly at Marina Cove near Ranch 99). The new location is here by the PJCC and is perfectly placed also near FC City Hall on Foster City Blvd. The open space concept brings a bit of industrial urban flair with the cement floor, black ceilings, floor-to-ceiling glass walls and wood accents. This open feel brings the lovely outside landscaping and patio seating into the interior space. The usual fare and drinks are available. My personal fave is the vanilla blonde latte (for its smoothness). Come stop by and check out the newest digs! read more

Really deserves no stars. Terrible customer service. Ordered a poor-over with almond milk on the side. After about 20 minutes I asked the girl I ordered it from when it will be ready. I could tell she wasn't even paying attention to it. Turns out she hadn't started it. I was there for over half hour. Instead of putting the almond milk on the side she added it to the cup and the coffee was luke warm. read more

I love this Starbucks because it's a walking distance from where we stay when visiting Foster City. It's a pretty big store and really spacious inside with indoor and outdoor seating. I've been able to place an online order and pick up in store. My only complaint is sometimes the coffee doesn't taste good like the machines need to be calibrated. I got a vanilla latte and the espresso didn't taste as it should. read more

This review is based on my experience with 1 barista in partiular and I believe her name is Sarah. I don't go into Starbucks every day but do stop by this location maybe 2 times a week for my breakfast and iced tea because it's close to my office. One time I asked Sarah to leave the tea bags in my drink and she asked if I'd like that done every time so I said "yes". I honestly did not think she'd remember me by any means since I'm not that regular but when I went in to pick up my order this morning, Sarah was finishing up my drink and handed it to me with the tea bags in the drink. I was happily surprised she remembered and that small gesture is why I will continue to visit this location in particular. My order is always correct and the attention to detail is greatly appreciated! read more

Overall, this is a great Starbucks. Great atmosphere and surrounding area with plenty of table space for working indoors or outdoors. I'm not much of a coffee drinker but I must say that the water was top notch! I got the Sausage and Cheddar breakfast sandwich and that was delicious! I will most likely be back at some point. By the doors, they display the store hours. My dad and I arrived at 6:10AM. When we read the hours, it says on Saturdays they open at 6AM and that particular day they will close 3PM. Since it was 10 minutes past 6AM, we tried to open the doors, and found them locked. I decided to leave this review because there were two Starbucks workers who were behind the counter, who clearly saw us. They looked up multiple times when we tried to open the first set of doors, and watched us when we went to the other side to check the second set of doors. The proper courtesy would be to step out and explain to us why they were still not open at that time because my dad and I would've understood. That's part of customer service. What the two blonde Starbucks women showed was blatant disrespect. I hope someone from the store teaches them importance of professionalism read more

I'm not usually a big Starbucks fan but this location has totally changed my mind. I ordered about 18 drinks for a birthday party and they all came out perfect!!! The barista, Erica was extremely kind, passionate, and hard working. She was very professional and helped me navigate through each drink. Together we figured out which drinks would be good for each person AND THEN she whipped them all out in no time!!!! Love this place!!! 5 stars!!!! read more

This is a very nice Starbucks and they have definitely retooled their ordering system since the Corona Virus pandemic. I have never had any kind of problems with this cafe since Covid-19 and never had any problems with it before Covid-19. The baristas are always accommodating, and when eating in, the cafe was fairly quiet. I hope that soon we can all get back to regular life, but in the meantime, please do not hesitate to go to this Starbucks. read more

I stopped in front of their coffee shop and run back forth saying that my baby is sleeping, let me know when it is ready. So the cook bought my sandwich to the car even though I didn't ask for that. Awwww as postpartum mama who did not have her breakfast and coffee at 11am, I was so touched by their excellent service! Coffee was so smooth and my sandwich like my grandma did - so yummy! They just earned forever customer! :-)

It's a very light gray in the photos as you can see. I get that it's a new drink but I was shocked by how bad this was. It's part of a corporate building around a man-made body of water. The view is quite nice, but I would recommend ordering something else.

It had a beautiful medley of spices that truly brightened your morning. The flavors were so balanced. As for the ham and cheese croissant, the star was the ham. The flavor of the ham reminded me of a thanksgiving ham. It was amazing! Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong with anything here. I regret not getting a full loaf of bread to take home with me.

People come here and set up work stations so you won't be able to find an open seat/full sized table too easily. They also have these mini tables to sit at. They're really inconvenient. You can't fit your food and coffee on it. Outside of the rough seating situation, the coffee and food always knock it out of the park! [this review was made in connection with a Toast promotion]
