Good coffee and food items. Staff were working hard and friendly. The line took a long time to get through and then waiting for the coffee. I think the online ordering really had an impact on the speed which was a bummer for those coming in person.

I came here on a Sunday around 1pm and there was a pretty long line. I do appreciate how many staff members that had working behind the counter to try and keep up with the customer traffic. The decor inside is cute and bright. I ordered the berries and cream matcha ($7.05) off the spring menu and the Caprese sandwich ($10.95). I was hesitant about whether or not I'd like the berries and cream matcha. I even considered ordering a strawberry matcha instead, but I'm so glad I took the risk! I've never had chocolate in my matcha before, but the combination was delicious. Loved the raspberry cold foam. The Caprese sandwich was also good. Honestly, nothing special. I probably could've made it at home with my panini press. Prices are consistent with other coffee shops in the area. I would come back again to try their other specialty coffees and matchas, but maybe pass on the food.

My new go to spot for strawberry matcha has officially been added to my list! Located in downtown San Carlos, this cafe has such a cute and colorful interior, and the logo is adorable. It's also dog friendly, which I loved. Street parking is available right in front, and there's a nearby garage as well, making it super convenient to visit!

Groovy Goose is a great community coffee shop in downtown San Carlos with a fun, laid-back vibe. The food is what I usually go back for, especially the toast and biscuit sandwiches, which are standout menu items. Drinks can be a little hit or miss, but the atmosphere keeps people coming back. Popular food items do sell out, so the app is definitely worth using to order ahead.

Cute cafe and roaster! They roast their own coffee beans, which you can also purchase. I happened to find this spot on Yelp while I was in the area today. I ordered the Carrot Cake Latte from their spring menu. The cold foam added a nice creaminess to the drink. I'm not sure if it was because I asked for it less sweet, but I didn't really taste much of the "carrot cake" flavor. I wish I hadn't adjusted the sweetness. It's always hard to tell if a drink will be too sweet or not. The staff member taking our order mentioned they hadn't tried any of the spring menu drinks yet, so I didn't ask what they thought about the sweetness. Nonetheless, the drink was still good, and I enjoyed it.

This review is only for the matcha! Vibes are great in this place, although I wish there was more indoor seating upstairs or something for people to work. I'm not a coffee drinker but my brother got a cortado; they messsed up the milk ratio but offered to make him a new drink, so he got a cortado and a latte haha. Fantastic service and an experience barista! The strawberry matcha was ok. It was a bit too milky and the strawberry jam didn't have enough fresh strawberry flavor. I'll probably ask for less ice if I get it again too. Hence the 4 stars. Overall, I know this place is a local gem so I'll continue telling friends and family to stop here (over the Starbucks) if they need a drink!

What a cute spot! They have a disco ball and some geese on the wall and I absolutely love the originality and playfulness. Latte was good but a bit expensive and perhaps prepared a teeny bit too hot, resulting in beans that tasted nice but were ever so slightly overdone imo. Drink was prepared quickly and service was polite

I'm a fan of this cute tasty joint! Staff are always kind and helpful with suggestions and the menu is fun without variety without being too overwhelming. The natural lighting, furnishing, and overall vibe invites me back. I appreciate that they're open to subbing out the juices in my smoothie! I usually get my food and drinks to-go but the sitting area is also cute. Ample parking nearby is also a plus.

I recently tried out Groovy Goose & it was a great coffee shop. I got an iced vanilla latte & chocolate croissant. The staff was really friendly and great overall ambiance.

Groovy Goose Coffee is adorable! I visited on a Saturday morning and found it pretty busy. Immediately, I loved how dog-friendly this place was! There were at least 4 dogs inside and pup cups were free. The interior was filled with plants, a few disco balls, and colorful wall murals. The girl at the counter was friendly and all the staff members looked happy to be there. I ordered a Salted Maple Latte off their fall menu and the Far Out Acai Bowl. The latte had a nice flavor without being overly sweet. My Acai Bowl was also tasty with fresh strawberries, banana slices, coconut, and granola. Will return to try their avocado toasts and smoothies!

I've heard about this place a few times and it's very comparable to Pete's coffee but less of a chain. I didn't end up getting a coffee as I already had coffee earlier in the day but actually went for a smoothie since all the smoothie flavors that they did have sounded amazing as the shop is called groovy, goose coffee the decor was very groovy and fun. For looking for a new coffee shop that can bring you some happiness for for your day. Definitely check out groovy goose. Service was quick, friendly and fast as there was no line and they do have parking which the shop is walking distance from.

Groovy goose was cute and small with a simple aesthetic. There were limited seats, but I liked how there were both indoor and outdoor tables. Dropped by to grab a breakfast biscuit and some coffee in the morning. The pastries looked delicious but I opted for something savory instead and the sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit hit the spot! I ordered a lavender latte too, which was quite good. Service was decent and parking around the area was super easy. I'd come back when in the area to try the different breakfast options and get one of their seasonal drink!

Do not get their matcha latte, it is dull and grainy. 6 bucks for a cup full of temu quality matcha. so disappointed.

We love biking to this place and enjoying the food at the outdoor seating area! No matter how busy it is, service is always pretty slow haha. But it's worth it and the pieces are great. Cute HK-inspired cafe, but misses on value and authenticity…read moreFinally got to check out this Hong Kong-style cafe after months of hearing about it, and overall it felt underwhelming and pricey for what you get. The concept is fun, but in this case quality did not really rise above quantity. The setup is self-serve: you order at a kiosk, grab your own water, and utensils come out with the food. After ordering, you pick up a number stand and bring it to your table. That part is straightforward, but the menu prices felt high, especially given that HK-style cafes are typically more budget-friendly. What we tried: * Mango Sunrise: The kids enjoyed this one, and it felt fairly priced for what it was. * HK OG Lemon Tea: You can customize ice and sweetness, which is a nice touch, but the flavor didn't really scream "OG." The tea lacked the depth and lemon brightness you'd expect from a classic version. * HK Style French Toast with Peanut Butter: Served cut into quarters with condensed milk on the side. It was decent, but nothing about it stood out enough to justify the higher price, especially knowing there are more affordable options nearby. * Satay Fish Ball / Siu Mai: These tasted like basic frozen snacks dressed up for the menu. The satay sauce didn't complement the fish balls well, and the siu mai texture was pasty rather than bouncy and satisfying. * Honey BBQ Chicken Wings: Four wings for around nine dollars felt steep, and they lacked crispness and that satisfying HK-style street barbecue flavor I was hoping for. * BBQ Pork Char Siu, Egg & Rice: The portion felt small for the price. The char siu had decent flavor but was overcooked, the "over easy" egg came out fully cooked through, and the vegetables were also overdone. While this place has a cute vibe and shows promise as an HK-inspired cafe, a lot of the authenticity and creativity you'd expect from that label just isn't there yet. For now, I'd call it more "HK-inspired" than true HK-style, and I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to come back.

WHAT IN THE DELICATESSEN IS GOING ON HERE AT MO'S??!!…read more First, check out my pics, then absolutely get here as soon as possible to enjoy some crazy delicious sammies and other treats! Tiny little baby deli on the edge of Belmont and San Carlos border, nice peeps serving up some seriously nice quality deli goodness. Tiny shopping center on El Camino Real with baby parking lot, lots of street parking free on the boulevard. I ordered the Sanburger 2 and chocolate croissant. Words cannot do the sammie justice, except that it's a dang Big Mac, but no burger and healthy! Whaaaaattt???!! Yes, you read that right. I want to eat this sammie everyday. Recommendation, get the sammie as they serve it for the Big Mac replica effect. There are Sanburgers 1-5. The one I ordered is 2, roast beef. They melt the American cheese on the sliced roast beef, then placed on the sesame seeded bun with shredded lettuce, mustard, MO's special sauce and lots of lovin'. When I took my first bite, I said out loud, "Am I eating a Big Mac?!" Very creative are these folks. The chocolate croissant speaks for itself. It's fully loaded flaky croissant goodness and it's huge! Head over to Mo's for an excellent sammie experience! Plan for to-go as it is very tiny, however, there are tables and outside area, too. The location used to be a Subway for years. Very nice new flavor in town. I believe they opened in 2024. I will definitely return!
