I came here on a Sunday around 1pm and there was a pretty long line. I do appreciate how many staff members that had working behind the counter to try and keep up with the customer traffic. The decor inside is cute and bright. I ordered the berries and cream matcha ($7.05) off the spring menu and the Caprese sandwich ($10.95). I was hesitant about whether or not I'd like the berries and cream matcha. I even considered ordering a strawberry matcha instead, but I'm so glad I took the risk! I've never had chocolate in my matcha before, but the combination was delicious. Loved the raspberry cold foam. The Caprese sandwich was also good. Honestly, nothing special. I probably could've made it at home with my panini press. Prices are consistent with other coffee shops in the area. Cute cafe and roaster! They roast their own coffee beans, which you can also purchase. I happened to find this spot on Yelp while I was in the area today. I ordered the Carrot Cake Latte from their spring menu. The cold foam added a nice creaminess to the drink. I'm not sure if it was because I asked for it less sweet, but I didn't really taste much of the "carrot cake" flavor. I wish I hadn't adjusted the sweetness. It's always hard to tell if a drink will be too sweet or not. The staff member taking our order mentioned they hadn't tried any of the spring menu drinks yet, so I didn't ask what they thought about the sweetness. This review is only for the matcha! Vibes are great in this place, although I wish there was more indoor seating upstairs or something for people to work. I'm not a coffee drinker but my brother got a cortado; they messsed up the milk ratio but offered to make him a new drink, so he got a cortado and a latte haha. Fantastic service and an experience barista! The strawberry matcha was ok. It was a bit too milky and the strawberry jam didn't have enough fresh strawberry flavor. I'll probably ask for less ice if I get it again too. Hence the 4 stars. I didn't end up getting a coffee as I already had coffee earlier in the day but actually went for a smoothie since all the smoothie flavors that they did have sounded amazing as the shop is called groovy, goose coffee the decor was very groovy and fun. They were very busy when we visited, which makes sense given the great location -- right by the farmers market on Sunday. The branding is super cute and honestly reminded me a bit of La La Land in Dallas. Tons of people were coming in and out, and the place definitely has that neighborhood-favorite vibe. The space itself is very small: about four seats inside and two outside on each side. Parking was easy for us because street parking right in front opened up as we arrived, but if we hadn't gotten that spot, I'm not sure how long it would've taken to find parking. The staff were very sweet and helpful, and even though there was a line behind us, we didn't feel rushed at all. Our order came out quickly. We got a latte, a matcha, and the croissant appetizer -- the total was about $30, which felt expensive to me, though that's pretty normal for California. The latte was much better than the matcha; the matcha was pretty mediocre. Both drinks were cold when we received them, and they didn't offer dine-in cups. The food tasted good, no real complaints there, but the portion was very small and honestly felt like a store-bought croissant that had been sliced and filled. Tasty, but not especially memorable for the price. Overall, it's a very cute spot and seems like a neighborhood classic. I wouldn't go out of my way to return since there wasn't anything pulling me back, but if I were walking by, I'd probably stop in again. That said, it was a great place to work for a bit -- they have good WiFi, and we were able to snag inside seating after waiting. read more

I learned the matcha latte here comes unsweetened which is nice. Most places it's too sweet. But I wanted a little sweet so I added a pump of simple syrup. Then I requested oak milk versus whole. And before I knew it, I had a $7 iced matcha latte that was the smallest size. I was fairly certain I asked for the 16oz but it appears I got a small per the label on my cup. I didn't notice at the time otherwise I would have asked. So I believe I paid for a 16 oz but got a 12. I love a good deal, so this was not that. A reverse deal- pay for more but get less lol. For those reasons I give 4 stars. Otherwise everything was good. Sounds like from other reviews the breakfast Sando with croissant is good. I had already had breakfast otherwise would have tried it. The tropical iced was good. Again, the price point not great. It's almost $4 for a tiny cup of iced tea. Y'all do know that ice takes up a large amount of the cup in an iced drink right? I've only tried their coffee, and it's pretty good. Seating is a bit crammed as a spot is small, so I'm not sure there's much they can do about that. There are a couple outdoor tables and hopefully they can add some more for warm days. They've got a small menu and the food does look pretty good, but I have not tried it. I would love to see something like a Chia pudding or overnight oats on the menu as well. Every time I stop by here I'm a little bummed that's not on the menu because that's my usual go-to for light breakfast or brunch. I asked for a pump of sweetner cuz i wanted it just a bit sweeter. But the croissant breakfast sandwich I got? It is the best croissant breakfast sando I've had in a long time. I got the croissant bacon egg and cheese. You know when you order specifically a croissant breakfast sando and the croissant is not toasted/crispy? And it's kind of disappointing? Well this had the most toasted croissant and it was freaking divine. I ordered this one on recommendation from the cashier who also made the sando. He said it was his favorite. Haven't been to groovy goose since they opened and the place has increased seating inside and on the side of the building. My girlfriend and I sat outside on a beautiful day to catch up. I really enjoyed their chai latte and they had an orange scone that was chef's kiss. I'm usually not a fan of scones but theirs is great. I was hoping to find their cheddar bacon pastry but I think they ran out. I also found out that they use organic flour and try to go as clean as possible with their ingredients so I know I'm getting quality. You can't go wrong with their pastries so good.
