During one visit, they/I collectively got the order wrong (they repeated the order back to me and I didn't catch that they left off an item). Here on business in the Sundance Square area and this is my morning stop every day. First things first - it's about the people and this location has great people. Of all the Starbucks locations that I've been to, and I've been to many, this is my favorite in the company. From Bob the barista to the deaf employee who was making sure the breakfast sandwich I ordered was perfect (and who allowed me to dust off some of the ASL I haven't used in years) - thank you. Every time Im in town for work, I've always gotten smiles from everyone there no matter how busy they are. To that end, they can get very busy especially when the tourists are out. A reminder to folks who get frustrated with the speed of their order - this is a tourist area location - so unlike your local stop on your commute, it's going to take some time if the place is crowded especially now that corporate allows for mobile orders. The store is clean with the right amount of inside tables for the stores foot print. On a nice day, you not only have the option of their outside seating but also tables that circle the Sundance Square fountain Bravo to this location with its tasty offerings and great staff. read more

I don't even know where to begin, I have never been this disappointed in Starbucks. This is the third time I've been treated poorly at this location, and I will not be returning. I will also be leaving a low-star review due to the consistent lack of proper customer service. Not only are the drinks made terribly, often burnt and poorly prepared, but the level of disrespect toward customers is unacceptable. A coworker of mine recently visited this location and was treated so poorly that they refused to remake his drink, despite Starbucks' policy guaranteeing a replacement if a customer is unsatisfied. Furthermore, this store does not reflect the values Starbucks claims to uphold. I personally experienced discrimination as a person of color and was treated as if I were lying simply for trying to place an order. The employees at this location do not represent what Starbucks stands for, and frankly, I don't understand why they continue to work here if they have no interest in treating customers with respect. I refuse to support a business that tolerates racism, discrimination, and unqualified management. Located on the edge of Sundance Square in downtown Fort Worth, this Starbucks is positioned to be a social hub for business people, tourists, and event attenders. Sadly, it's small size and comparatively spartan seating options makes it less than appealing than what it might be. I visit mannyyyyy Starbucks in mannyyyyy cities and it seems that Starbucks game is most on when building in urban areas. There are no less than 20 Starbucks on or within a couple blocks of Market St in downtown San Francisco and each feels different from the other. I wish this location had that kind of flair. I visited on a cold rainy morning and had to keep my coat on to stay warm. I always look for the cushy seats in a Starbucks. None are available here. The warmth of the place is really in the service. All the workers I spoke with were very personable and nearly everyone who came in at open seemed to be on a first-name basis with them. Two thumbs up for local charm. Despite how often I visit Starbucks, I don't think I can bring myself to five-star one because the coffee and the atmosphere have become cookie cutter, relative to the many local coffee shops that do atmosphere and quality so well. I would take a star away for the absence of comfy seating and the cold environment, but I felt the local service vibe so strongly I give that star back. I've been popping into this location for years and years. It faces the center of the square and if it's a pretty day you must take your drink to-go and walk about people-watching. Last time I went I bought a caramel apple cider and a little bag of popcorn, the perfect snack. The baristas are always kind and they work quickly of course -- it's typically bustling inside and you're lucky to find a seat. Always a little too crowded for my liking, so I just pop in and out. Special Starbucks. This is a Starbucks RESERVE. It has one of those $10,000 Clover machines making special coffee such as 100% kona and etc. Worth a visit if you have not had a cuppa joe like this. Their reserve coffee is very good. Packs a wollop of caffeine. They use a lot of coffee to make that cuppa grande. Just observe the 'puck' that comes out of the Clover and you will know what I mean. Regardless, this Clover device was roumored to be invented by some MIT kids. So good that it cost $10K and Starbucks bought that company out. Other than that, a regular starbucks. A few pluses and opportunities for this location. I'll lead with its good points. First of all location, location, location. This store is located right next to the recently renovated Sundance Square in downtown Fort Worth which allows you to enjoy the sights while you work or relax. Secondly, since this area is a hot spot for night life, this location will be serving beer and wine in the next few weeks. Unfortunately, there were a few opportunities at this location. I stopped by around 5 in the afternoon and their pastry cases were empty. I'm sure being a weekend day, they had been very busy but they were hours from closing and completely out of options for the customers and seemed to be in no hurry to do anything about it. Additionally, the service was very slow. There weren't many of us in line, but they were not in any hurry to get our orders out to us. On top of that, I had requested no whipped cream on my order which was totally missed by the cashier and when I asked the barista that made the drink to take it off, she snapped "next time, you need to let us know." Never good customer service to immediately blame the customer. Mine is not the only review to comment on the service at this location. May be time for the management team to take note. read more

This is a pretty good Starbucks location, right on the edge of Sundance Square. When I visited on a hot Saturday afternoon the kids playing in the fountain just outside would run in here to use the restroom, and I thought it was nice that they were allowed to do that. At a little after 4 PM they had a fully stocked pastry case with some pastries I had never even seen in a Starbucks before, lots of good variety. The line was long and moving very slowly since they only had one employee working the cash register. We waited quite a while for our drinks, which came out at different times so I was well into my iced coffee before my boyfriend even got his. Yes, it's convenient, but the reason so many reviews refer to this Sbux as "cozy" is because it's WAY too small for the location and amount of traffic it gets. Not sure why they went so cheap on the square footage as it's a brand new location and the first tenant in a brand new building, but the layout is very tight and they are clearly not going for the 'come and hang out' approach anymore...it's get in, sit for 5 minutes while we make your drink and then be on your way.
