    Sausage bacon egg wrap

This is now my favorite Starbucks. It's easy to get to right off I-77 near Carowinds and the drive-thru is pretty quick here. But service has been friendly and fantastic. Lately I've really been into the Irish cream cold brew and hot mocha latte. I love the cold foams on the cold brews and the fact that they are not super sweet. And I also like to pick up a snack. My favorite is the chocolate croissant. Buttery layers with a warm rich chocolate filling. I also recently got a sausage and bacon breakfast wrap. It was a thicker dough than I expected, but pretty good. Other faves are the feta spinach breakfast wrap and bacon and gruyere egg bites. The only issue I've run into has been the availability of hot sandwiches. On three occasions, they have been completely out and I end up going somewhere else. Pro-tip: Order in the app for quick pick-up.

We ordered a mocha and a latte with oat milk. I had mine with vanilla and caramel, and even added extra simple syrup. Unfortunately, the drinks just didn't stand out. I found myself sipping more for the caffeine than the flavor, and by the end, I couldn't really remember the taste. I was hoping to recreate that rich, memorable coffee experience I've had in Asheville, but this didn't quite hit the same. That said, I do appreciate the atmosphere and the friendly service, so I'd be open to giving it another try in the future.

I've been to several of their locations around the Charlotte area and they all share the same strengths: consistently great coffee, friendly baristas, and a calm, grounded atmosphere that makes even a quick stop feel like a small reset in the day. This particular shop isn't large, and the laptop crowd has definitely discovered it. There are only a handful of tables, so I felt genuinely lucky to land the last open one and settle in with my cortado. The drink was exactly what I expect from Summit every time, rich and balanced and served with the kind of quiet confidence that comes from a place that knows what it's doing. I opened the laptop, got a bit of work done, and enjoyed the rhythm of the room as people drifted in and out. And when the cortado was gone, so was I. It's the kind of space where I felt a gentle responsibility to make room for the next person once I've had your moment, especially on a busy morning. Even with its small footprint, it remains one of the most dependable coffee experiences in the area, and I always leave feeling like the stop was worth it. If you've tried their other locations, this one will feel familiar in the best way. If you haven't, it's a great introduction to what Summit does so well. There is also outdoor seating available. They can easily accommodate small and large groups. The staff is friendly and the facility is very clean. Breakfast and lunch are served all day. My toddlers loved the macaroons. I tried the chai tea latte. It was made pretty quickly and tasted great. The chocolate Chip cookie was absolutely perfect. It was soft in the middle with just a little bit crunch on the edges. I also had the club sandwich. It was much bigger than I expected and very filling. The indoor playground was awesome. My kiddos had a great time. My only request is for a little more seating for parents. There were several of us who were just standing around.

Mrs. K. and I stopped in after our shop and settled in with two excellent coffees and a piece of cranberry loaf, which turned out to be just the right companion for a quiet late morning break. The space is calm, comfortable, and set up in a way that makes it easy to linger, and I could see myself opening a laptop here for an hour or two without feeling rushed. The seating is arranged with enough breathing room that conversations don't echo, and the overall atmosphere leans more toward neighborhood café than anything corporate. It's the kind of place where you can hear the espresso machine but not the world outside, which is exactly what you want when you're trying to enjoy a cup without distraction. Everything we had was well prepared. Parking is plentiful, though I imagine the lot fills quickly before and after services, so timing might matter if that's a concern. For us, it was an easy in and out, and the visit felt like a small discovery in a part of Charlotte that doesn't have many independent coffee options. We left feeling grateful to have found a spot that delivers good coffee, quiet seating, and a sense of local character in Steele Creek. [Review 24 of 2026 - 4524 in North Carolina - 25215 overall]

I went yesterday (Tuesday), and they have a promotion where if you order a medium or large coffee, you get free beignets. I also ordered three extra on the side. Unfortunately, every single beignet was hard as a rock, as if they were old and reheated. By the time I got home, they were completely inedible. I really don't appreciate the inconsistency. Customers shouldn't be served anything that the staff themselves wouldn't eat. Because of this, I'll unfortunately have to find somewhere else to go for my treats.

They will let you use your own cup, but no discount. So much for saving the plant with PJ's. Their staff is nice and they are quick and efficient.
