I went to the Starbucks in Florence Or located in Safeway. The young girl behind the counter came up to the register no saying a word. She looked like she was having a bad day. In the silence I said "I know you all have the carmel brulee, my favorite drink, I was wondering if you had the carmel brulee cream." She stared at me a couple of seconds and responded "No." I said ok I'll have the regular carmel brulee blended half the coffee. She started making the drink and I noticed that she put ice in it. I told I had asked for it blended. Her response was out of this world. "We don't make that drink blended and you paid for this one and I already made it." Hmmmm wow!! Now I know for a fact Starbucks makes the carmel brulee and the carmel brulee cream blended, iced, and hot. I explained this to her. She said no we don't i can give you a refund. I told her I didn't want a refund. Without saying a word shewasgone. Next came a manager. She had no idea about anything. She went to her manager. Long story short no one knew anything about the drinks but me. I walked out with something that wasn't a carmel brulee and was 30 minutes late for work. Get it together Starbucks hire people who have some common sense and train them. This isnt the first time I have had a problem with them. I've come in twice at 4:45 and the store is closed. I know that this is just one disgruntled customer but I also work in that field but I would NEVER treat a customer like that even if it was my worst day. Shame on you Starbucks. read more

There was a fly in the pastry case just landing on everything. I mentioned to the cashier they may want to toss it out because let's be honest flies on food is disgusting. She seemed a bit new and consulted with the more experienced worker who just shrugged it off and did not seem at all concerned about food safety for future customers. Do better starbucks! You are a multimillion dollar company, you can afford to toss out a few pastries. read more

This is the most ridiculous, mismanaged, bunch of no account bums and goofballs I have ever had misfortune of having to deal with. I came in here because a friend says that they are great here. I have tried three times, and all three times I regretted it. I was in today and ordered three drinks, 2 mochas and a caramel crunch all with whipped cream. I did not even pay any attention to what they looked like, it was almost 5 and I needed to get to work. I paid and left. When I arrived at work, and went to dole out the drinks, I couldn't tell which was which. None of them were a caramel crunch and none had whipped cream. That is the last time I will go to that store called Starbucks in the Florence Safeway. I wish I new what the problem was with these people at this store. I guess if you want something from here you better get it early morning. That is when my friend gets hers. Starbucks you need better employees for your afternoon shift. so... this starbucks is inside safeway... interesting. the scenery is fantastic. i love looking around and seeing the forzen fruit section in front of the starbucks. Only the Second time, first time at this location ever trying Starbucks. It was a good, quality experience and we plan to come try some other drinks soon. I do think the point reward system in the app is a bit ridiculous, $200-$400 spent gets you a drink of your choice? My fiancée and I would have to come over 50 visits before we could get the rewards. Oh well though, atleast the products are good and the staff were nice and efficient that is what's important. Overall an experience that I would recommend to others. read more

Staying in Florence from out of state and needing Starbucks! I googled the location and read really bad reviews. I am really happy to say that the were wrong! We had a very happy greeting before we got close to the counter from both staff. Ruby was cheery and patient with my sister who was on FaceTime with my nephew, she even told him hello cheerily! Angely was just as cheery and helpful! She asked on both of our orders if it was accurate and if anything needed to be corrected (our orders were a little fussy)! Angely and Ruby were very friendly and so polite!! Stellar job ladies!! read more

Worst Starbucks ever. Notoriously slow and the employees chit chat while the line gets longer. The manager needs to be replaced. Today two Starbucks employees were bagging a customers Safeway groceries as the line grew-the manager walked in -she didn't seem to notice how annoyed people waiting for coffee were getting. I finally got my coffee after 15 minutes and it was made wrong -I had to wait in line again to get it remade because I felt bad jumping ahead of others as they were so annoyed. The staff is amazing and very considerate of the costumers! Sometimes this Starbucks can get busy, but the staff is always moving as fast as they can and getting drinks out. With this being the only Starbucks in Florence, l have nothing bad to say!! Highly recommend. read more

This is by far the worst Starbucks I have ever been to. Today was worse than any other time. I waited in line for over 15 minutes with only 2 people ahead of me. There were 3 employees working. One at the register, one making drinks and one putting baked goods in the display case. The bleach blond guy at the register is so slow and unfortunately has zero personality to make up for how absolutely slow he was. He seemed high or something. I finally get to the front of the line and I order my egg bites. ( It's all I wanted) I ask the young lady if she knows how to work a register or make coffee? She was immediately offended that I asked her that. I said it was ridiculous for anyone to wait in line that long. ( At this point there are now 8 other people in line behind me) then her and the bleach blond guy started yelling at me and saying I was being rude. I simply asked a question. They both cussed a lot and had zero customer service skills. I asked for their name and they said it was irrelevant. This place is truly a joke. I'm glad the human bean is coming to town. read more

This place was horrible. When I showed up there were 10 people in line and by the time I got to the front there were 13. At first I felt bad for the staff-- they seemed understaffed with only 2 people behind the counter. That's a management problem, and not necessarily their fault. Then I looked closer and saw that they were not helping their case. They were lethargic and seemed uncaring. Specifically Pamela. She was acting as if she had all the time in the world with each and every interaction and order. The other woman had no name tag but she at least was hurrying and doing her best. She had black hair and was making all the drinks. After I got about half way through line (20 minutes), a third employee showed up to help!! You could feel the whole line almost started cheering and breathed a sigh of relief. Not only that, but she hustled in and had a pep in her step. Either they had called in back up, or she was just really considerate and saw how long the line was and wanted to jump in and help! No sooner than the second she stepped around the corner did Pamela toss her apron and leave. Everyone watched wide eyed and jaw dropped with discouraged unbelief as she walked past us all and walked out. I get it, she was off work. But still. Abigail (the new girl) had an earnestness about her and I could tell that she really meant well. Nonetheless, as she interacted with customers it looked like she was confused several times and didn't know what to do or what to write on the cups. :/ Either she was just new to the job, or she was poorly trained. Based off of how badly this particular establishment seems to be run, my guess is the latter. Anyways, her confusion with each order made her only a little faster than Pamela. But at least she was trying. By the time I got my drink, it had been 45 minutes. And it would have been longer if people hadn't gotten out of line in frustration. I'm not writing this review to be mean. I'm writing it to bring attention to management or whoever is above management. Firstly is the understaffing of the establishment. If it was just a bad day, that's fine; maybe someone called out or 2 people did or something. But on the off chance that this is even semi-normal, I have to say something. Secondly is Pamela's lethargic work pace and uncaring demeanor. If you are going to work for a coffee shop, you have to understand much of the time it is a fast-paced working environment. Lastly, is Abigail's lack of training on the job. I hope these issues are tended to. This Starbucks quite simply does not seem to be run well. I hope it is changed and ceases to be a blemish on the reputation and brand of the company. read more
