It's a great place to catch up with a friend or pull out my work, except during rush hour. In this case, I came here on a Sunday afternoon before closing time. Overall, super chill and relaxed. The baristas were all super friendly and a joy to talk to (we geeked out a bit about video games). And the general vibe in the building is airy and welcoming. The AC was blasting though, so make sure you order something hot or bring a jacket if you plan on staying a while.

The butter chicken was rich, thick, and flavorful. The goat curry was perfect! Meat was tender, again great portion size of meat, and the curry itself was wonderfully spiced. You have the option of choosing your spice level - we chose spicy, and it was a good spice level for us since we do like spicy food. The dining area is bright and cheery and they have Tamil and Telegu movies playing on the screens. The girls at the front are just so kind. We were greeted right away and they chatted with us while we waited for our order. They really were so sweet and were able to give us recommendations on what to order and knew their menu so well. There is a spacious parking lot and plenty of handicap accessible spaces right near the restaurant which was helpful. Overall we had an excellent experience at Southern Spice. I cannot talk to anyone at their headquarters to get the "rewards" to reflect in my orders. They hang up on me because they can't tell me why the rewards won't go thru. So I will still go to DD at this location for the coffee and the people who work there but not use the rewards any longer because they do not work thru the app - and no one seems to be able to answer why.
