I would've prefered the pizza to be cooked for another minute in the oven personally, but that's not a knock on them. It desperately needed salt. In the dough and on the tomatoes. Having been to English tea at a world renowned spot just a hop away from Buckingham Palace, I felt this had enough similarities to call it a "Proper English Tea" ....and a little gem at the edge of Rocky Mountain National Park. Service started a little slow at the start-but tea is that way (except at the spot "a hop from Buckingham Palace" -they serve a lot of people every afternoon) this was much more relaxing and less rushed. I liked that! I would suggest a traditional current jam with more tartness, a little more cream cheese on the cucumber sandwiches and uber-tiny salt and pepper shakers on the table. Oh- and a bold large scale floral wallpaper on the walls in the bathrooms! Other than that-this experience was perfect!!! I slept about 4 hours the night before to make it early for sunrise. To say that a few tasty beers were what the doctor ordered would be the understatement of the century! None of this matters, of course, to the good folks at Rocky Cut Brewing Company. This is off the main drag of Estes in an unassuming strip plaza. Humble vibes inside, a simple U-shaped bar top with seating all around, a few smaller tables, a community table, and a large patio with mostly picnic table seating. If you're lucky, snag a stool right along the Big Thompson River! Though, I recommend they fix the wooden placeholders for beers, they're leaning on the wrong side of history, we don't want any full glasses of beer reaching an unnecessary demise! Interference IPA * American IPA * 6.7% * 16oz ($7) From their website: "Climbing the Interference Boulder in Rocky Mountain National Park requires strength and power. This Colorado IPA showcases the power of hops with an intense blend forging citrus aromas with a pine forward finish. Featured ingredients: Cascade, El Dorado, Mosaic, Chinook, & Simcoe hops * Recommended adventure: hiking Black Lake, climbing the Twin Owls, skiing upper Hidden Valley." A perfectly apt description. I would summarize this beer just as they did, focusing on hops, citrus, and pine. Absolutely delicious, a memorable IPA in recent memory.
