The employees at the East Rutherford Starbucks are amazing! I love this location, it is by far my favorite.

Come on, it's your average corporate Starbucks... what more needs to be said? Honestly, I highly prefer supporting local cafes over Starbucks any day..... but I really needed to get some work done and this was the best option. This location is a bit out of the way for me (especially since it's on route 17, YUCK), but it has its perks. -Unlike other locations and other cafes, it's one of the few that is open until 11pm -It has a Drive Thru (closes at 8pm) The interior is narrow, but there's a good amount of seating along the walls with outlets. It was late and I didn't want to torture myself by drinking an espresso, so I ordered a hot Chamomile Mint Tea. You really can't mess up hot tea so... I'll leave this review at that. read more

This is my local bucks so I stop by here almost everyday. The baristas are friendly and always do a great job when making the drinks. If it's not how you like it they will remake it and work with you to make it right. This is a bigger location, so you can come here and do your work or study. I have never had an issue finding a table when I was working. read more

Love this location because of the drive thru! It's on my way to work so it's very convenient. Driving home, it's on the opposite side of the highway and sometimes I find myself still choosing this location because of the drive thru window. I'm so lazy and it just feeds my problem. Despite what you think, I have been inside haha. It's a great store, spacious and neat. The workers are friendly most of the time and very helpful. They always have a great selection of goodies and are always in stock of my favorite breakfast sandwich. The drive thru window can get pretty packed in the morning so I would suggest ordering on the app and picking up in store if it's too long. Overall, a great location. read more

They have horrible customer service they are "funny " when comes to making your drink they fill your whole cup up with ice and doesn't mix the drink had all the powder at the bottom of the cup and most of the cup was ice too the top on the brim. Great location near the highway. Friendly staff who make good coffee. The store is quite large so if You also need to get some work done, I definitely recommend doing it here since it wasn't too loud during the time I stayed. There's also a bunch of restaurants not far from th is location so you can also grab food if you need to. read more

I love Starbucks but the workers here are extremely slow. If you order Food or toasted croissant they take their time making it. I went with a friend recently to pick up a mobile order and they had the drinks ready but not the food. It took 20 minutes alone for someone to acknowledge us and it was only after we got a bit aggressive. I was standing in the regular line and my friend where you'd pick up. Not one employee even wanted to make eye contact with us. The store wasn't even busy. Once we were able to voice that our food was missing from the order they took about another 15 minutes to even start working on it, and again only after my friend started to get aggressive with them. It's unfortunate we had to be rude and snap just to get our already paid order fulfilled in a timely fashion. read more

I asked the barista, who was busy (and I totally understand) to add some color to my daughter's dragon fruit drink, because she loves everything that's pink, but she does not like the little pieces of fruit in it. I asked my daughter if she wants the white drink or wants the color. My daughter obviously went for the color. The girl said it still tastes the same but has no color (it was white), but my daughter was convinced she wants pink drink. So I asked the girl politely to add the fruit pieces. I've come to this Starbucks plenty of times to study. However, it's a hit or miss. This Starbucks is located in a mini plaza area with plenty of parking. They also have a drive-thru which most customers seem to use. Usually the place is clean, but today there were A LOT of flies everywhere. It was really nasty seeing then flying everywhere. It's definitely better to come later at night when it's quieter. When you come earlier in the day from 6PM or earlier, it's very loud. That's when you should go to the back of Starbucks where there are tables with plenty of seating. Most people study in that area. When it's quiet, I sit near the front of the store. The employees are fairly nice. Never really had a problem except when it was really busy and they didn't have my order ready for so long. All I usually get from here is a iced caramel latte and cake pops. For the most part it always tastes good. Today, the iced caramel latte's milk tasted a little strange. Pretty good Starbucks. This location is tucked in at the end of a mini mall and is quieter and a bit smaller than most other Starbucks locations in the area. Seating is a bit hard to get during peak hours, but the seating location is nicely situated in the back. Great place to get work done. My personal favorites for drinks are the frappaccinos, particularly the new Cafe Espresso and the Pumpkin Spice, as well as the variety of ice teas. The service is pretty good here. There is a drive thru and plenty of parking in the mini mall lot. read more

Pros: Fast service with efficient staffing, clean, has drive thru with big pictures and menu selections prior to driving up to place orders, parking is available for those who wants to order inside, 4 lounge chairs, 4 tall seatings nearby the front entrance, a few tables in the back. One of my favorite locations due to the drive thru and how spacious it is. Always friendly staff. I rather drive an extra 10 minutes to come here. Bathrooms are usually dirty but you can't have perfection. The back of the place is excellent for studying and getting work done. read more

Came in with a friend hoping to buy some Frappuccinos. We waited for about five minutes at the register, the baristas looked at us, but didn't take our orders. It didn't seem like they were interested in taking our order at all and priority was being given to the drive-thru rather than customers in the store. I come here a-lot and I believe that this is a great store and they provide quality service here. There has been very few mistakes with my drink and they always try to fix it whenever they can. I absolutely love Starbucks, But this place makes me think twice sometimes about coming here. This location needs to perhaps hire more staff if that's the problem, because they don't always get the right drive thru orders. The person who I'm assuming takes the orders/ cashier is always annoyed and not friendly at all. I will prob start going to other Starbucks even if it means taking an extra 5 minutes to actually go inside. Also they have messed up my order a couple of times so I always double check and ask to make sure they have my right order but they are always just rushing you to drive away. Lines are usually long since there isn't many drive thru Starbucks around. So if you aren't rushing then you will be good, and just double check to make sure they gave you your right order before you drive off. It's happen to me when rushing to work and it's been the most annoying frustrating way to start my day off, especially when I obviously don't have the time to drive back and have them prepare my right order. This is my go to Starbucks when I'm home in Rutherford, not only do they have a covered drive thru, but the inside is always neat and clean with a polite staff. And on Sunday when Lowe's is closed they are a perfect spot to read the Sunday' paper and relax. And they serve the yummiest loafs. I really like this Starbucks. It's quieter than most in the area and the people that work here are really nice and helpful. I don't drink coffee and ordered one of the "secret menu" items that I found on the internet called butterbeer. I expected the person behind the counter to be disgusted with me for ordering something complicated and unknown, but he asked how to make it and was completely pleasant about it.
