I had seen some negative reviews about the customer service and wanted to see for myself if it was really that bad. Surprisingly, the service was friendly, and I didn't experience any attitude at all. I'm hoping the service stays this consistent. They literally just admitted they forgot it and had a very "oh well" attitude. My expectation would have been that they saw how large our bill was (a large party with many alcoholic beverages consumed) and they would have done something to expedite my order. Nada. 2. They kept bringing out dishes and drinks that no one ordered, and I GUARANTEE that they snuck these on the bill whether or not the staff left them at our table. For example, they brought at least one drink no one ordered, and they brought chips and salsa that no one ordered. Additionally, they brought a burger, that no one ordered and no one claimed, so they took it back, probably threw it out, but I GUARANTEE they snuck it on the bill. This to me seems very unethical, but I guess the manager told them what to do to keep the doors open. Watch out for this if you are with a large party. 3. We had a large party and ordered lots of food and drinks, and I know the people that I'm with are big tippers so the staff was very well compensated despite carrying out a less than an average job. Michael's Market is like a convenience store (c-store), but it's loaded with beer, wine and tobacco items. It has a fountain area and wide variety of snacks and candy. For awhile it was the only neighborhood shop around. But now the Discovery Bay shopping center is right next door. Yes, I saw the Confederate flag. But the clerk was friendly and helpful. I was wearing my work uniform w/ ID. People with jobs usually have money to spend. Michael's Market is a well stocked c-store that can save you a trip down the road to the Safeway shopping center. Shell gas prices were about average for the SF Bay Area. Located on the corner of Discovery Bay Blvd & Riverlake Rd.
