My friend and I had just purchased two Grande Americano coffees for an afternoon pick me up while shopping. My Daughter- in- law joined us while we were sitting outside resting and drinking our coffee. It was very hot for a May afternoon( 91 degrees) and she needed a small drink of water. Starbucks REFUSED to give her a small cup of tap water because she had not bought anything from them!! I guess it didn't matter that I had just spent $10.00 on two cups of coffee there!!! It is unbelievable and unthinkable that a corporation cannot give a drink of water to a young girl!!! If this is the policy of the employees at this particular shop, then they all need retraining. If this is Corporate policy, then Starbucks deserves to lose business and have to close stores Nationwide. I know they just the business of three customers. read more

Everyone that knows me, knows that I am a fan of Starbucks and love to get my caffeine groove on no matter what city I am in. This is the case when it came to Destin. This Starbucks location was in the Destin Commons less than a mile from where I was staying. Each morning when I woke up I made sure to get to Starbucks for my eyeopening coffee fix. This staff at this location was super friendly. The first day in Destin I could not find the Starbucks and got really worried there might not be one, but I called the number listed here on Yelp and the young lady answering the phone gave me awesome directions around the Commons to where the store was located. Once inside they were more than happy to help give me my fix! read more

I've been to a lot of Starbucks in my time, ranging from all over the US and other countries and this one is by far my favorite location. The staff is very efficient and always kind. My order has always been top notch and always done in record time. This location is ideal for the morning commute. It's located at the outlets in Destin so I can't say how it is during the busy hours there, but I can say anytime between 7-11, I've been very impressed. Starbucks isn't necessarily cheap so you need to expect a quick and efficient experience. This location is so much more so than that on Grand Blvd. that location is a disappointment, maybe they need to transfer some of these employees there to train them. read more

Worst experience I've ever had at Starbucks. First they told me that it was happy hour so buy one get one free. Then after I ordered they said you had to have the app. One of us actually had the app but low and behold you had to have the coupon on the app which we did not have. There was a long line behind me so I just paid for the two extra drinks. Then they got one of the drinks wrong. We sent it back and they got it wrong a second time. Finally on the third attempt they got it right. You would think they would give us the two screwed up drinks but nope, they went in the trash. Will not be going back. read more

Terrible service. At most Starbucks, they ask your name then shout it out when your order is ready. Here, they don't bother. When my order was ready, I didn't know because the man setting them out didn't even raise his voice. He would quietly say, "Mocha Frappuccino" or whatever and get back to work without even looking around for the customer. Apparently, my drink had been sitting there for several minutes and I didn't notice because I couldn't hear him and I was sitting down and couldn't see over the counter. People before me were having the same problem. There was lots of discussion about whose order was ready and whose wasn't. Again, if they would just shout out the person's name like EVERY OTHER STARBUCKS there wouldn't have been a problem. read more

The two things that keeps it from being a 5 star rating is the lack of adequate seating inside(there is plenty of outdoor seating if the weather is cooperating) and location...it is not convenient (most of the time) to just grab and go based on the parking system at The Commons. read more

I can understand that it's busy, but if you can't keep up when someone is explaining the order SLOWLY & ONE BY ONE, at least say something. It was super busy so I just left pissed, no point in holding up a line and causing a scene, but the blonde haired girl with color on it at the register didn't need to roll her eyes during the process either. I've been a gold member (since I can't get any higher level) for over 5 years, this has definitely been my worst experience as well as mess up. It's Starbucks! It's smaller but it has fast and friendly service. I docked it one star only because since it is a smaller location it doesn't have evolution smoothies or fresh blueberries for their oatmeal. Agreed, not much seating inside, buts it's Destin, sit outside! They have a very nice patio area. Since it's in the middle of Destin Commons, I think the lack of inside seating is fine. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. It's always very clean too. Great place to grab a drink while shopping. read more

(I know, so ridiculous right!) my favorite thing is the entire staff knows my name, my drink, my likes and dislikes and they're like family to me! The worst customer service I have ever had at a Starbucks! Was the only person in line. It took 15 minutes to take my order, make my coffee, and then clean up the Carmel all over the side of the cup! They wouldn't even give me a wet towel, they handed me a wad of dry paper towel to clean up Carmel all over the cup and my hands! Will not go back to this one! read more

I typically use the Mobile App when placing orders for this store so I can pick it up on the way to work. However, most of the time the quality is less than satisfactory compared to other stores in the area. Whether it be a heavy hand with the creamer to make up for the short supply of cold brew or the cold middle of breakfast sandwiches, it frustrates me each time I try to give the store another chance. read more

Coffee is always delicious but I was at this location one night and needed to make my movie which began in 20 min. The theater is 100 ft away and I almost didn't make the beginning of my movie. It was wall to wall slam packed and there were FOUR PEOPLE working, well I should say there were 4 people THERE and only ONE PERSON ACTUALLY WORKING! The male employee was busting his butt to run the registers and make all of the coffees by himself while the three female employees were clearly just trying to clean and stock stations to get theirselves off work as quickly as possible. They did not help take orders or make drinks, LITERALLY NOTHING while this place is too packed to fit another person in there. Why they didn't lift a finger AT ALL to help this hardworking young man, I have no clue? (they should've realized that helping him get the coffee out will help THEM to get out of there faster as well)... I will go back to this location for the coffee but if I ever walk in and see it that busy again, I'll turn around and walk out. read more
