Best coffee shop! Great people, coffee, and breakfast. Overall 10 star! Best stop on out girls trip!

We stayed at our friend's Airbnb nearby and I ended up coming to Causeway Coffee probably 2-3 times during our trip since I was also working out at the Gold's Gym basically next door. I'm so glad I found this place! It was really easy to find and had plenty of parking. The coffee shop is on the second floor, and you can either take the elevator or go up the spiral staircase. Inside, it's beautiful, spacious, and just has a really relaxing atmosphere. There's also a wraparound porch with outdoor seating. It doesn't necessarily overlook anything exciting, but it was still such a peaceful place to sit, and I could definitely see myself bringing my laptop and working here for a few hours. The staff was SO friendly every time I went. On Thursday morning there was a pretty long line, but they had several people working behind the counter and moved through it incredibly fast. Our drinks came out quickly too. I ordered iced lattes and really enjoyed them, but THE CROISSANT. I am a croissant person, and this was genuinely one of the best croissants I've ever had. Thick, buttery, soft, delicious bread and not even remotely dry. My kids loved them too, and I appreciated that each one came packaged in its own little container instead of just being thrown into a bag. They were also playing worship music every time I was there -- Abbie Gamboa and SEU and several artists I already love which made me enjoy the atmosphere even more. I also noticed when ordering at the tablet that they give you an option to donate to a local family in need, which I thought was such a thoughtful touch. Great coffee, ridiculously good croissants, kind staff, quick service, lots of space and a really welcoming atmosphere. Causeway was easily one of my favorite finds of the trip, and I will absolutely be back when I am in the area this November! read more

The aesthetic of this coffee shop is gorgeous. But beyond that, their mission is to serve and uplift both local and global communities by generating meaningful value and practical resources intentionally designed to support and empower "the least of these". Matthew 25:40 (as quoted from their website). How inspiring! You'll have to take the beautiful elevator or the stairs to the second floor to enter. The outdoor seating area is beautiful and the inside is well-lit and comfortable. There's a conference room that you can rent. They offer signature bites and signature drinks. Service is excellent! I even bought a tea shirt. read more

Strawberry Nutella 10/10 Same as before, fantastic! Oreo 9/10 Difficult to eat, the Oreos were full size that were cut in pretty large chunks- I'd recommend smaller pieces. Aside from that, the flavors were great. There was some Nutella as well as some type of Oreo cream filling. Bananas foster 9/10 This was a little more difficult to eat as well since everything was piled high and nothing for it to really stick to. Bananas were fresh and sliced, candied nuts were delicious. I definitely would have put more caramel on this though. And the whipped cream was very good too! read more

Such a charming place overall. The upstairs patio has a cozy, breezy vibe, and getting there--whether by elevator or the winding staircase--adds a little character to the visit. I tried the blended granita, which was smooth and flavorful. I would've loved a bit more intensity, but it was still a solid choice. read more

What a pleasant & beautiful morning at Causeway. The entrance is so refreshing and inviting. I loved the fresh, clean feel inside. The front and all design is so beautiful and cozy. The bathrooms are ever elegant. To top it off, the smoothest most tasty & delicious iced latte AND amazing Italian soda. The croissants are so great as well. They also have many sugar free options for drinks as well. We absolutely love the clean ingredients initiative here as well as this is a priority in how we live. The customer service was so friendly and caring and helpful. We enjoyed our visit here and can't wait to come back! 11/10 recommend. read more

This coffee shop was awesome! The decor and outdoor seating were fabulous. I had a caramel almond to a latte, which had a smooth espresso but wasn't too sweet. I definitely get a lot of caramel or almond flavor, so if you're expecting really sweet coffee maybe not for you. We also ordered a chai latte which was delicious. Additionally the southwest croissant sandwich was quite tasty with a hint of spice. I also love the mission of this coffee shop. If you're in the area, I would give it a try! The shop is located on the second floor but they do have an elevator and large bathrooms for accessibility. read more

I went to work at this coffee shop on a Friday morning while on a work trip and literally had the most ideal experience for working in a coffee shop. Great food and drink options, comfortable indoor and outdoor (shaded too!) seating, the nicest employees, and a wifi password on every table. The breakfast sandwich was sooo good, the cucumber salad side was alright, and the iced coffee was delicious. I should have tried the waffle pops but ended up going the savory route. If i'm ever back in Destin I totally will try them or the other recommendations the employee gave me! The atmosphere is light and trendy. It's super cute and plenty of seating. I don't remember seeing plugins though. I loved that it wasn't too busy and was able to spend a substantial time working. I HIGHLY recommend checking this place out. read more

I'm so glad I found this place. I arrived in Miramar Beach way in advance of my check in time, so I found this cafe. The reception was friendly, and they gave fantastic suggestions of what to try. The cafe itself is wonderfully decorated. It feels upscale and welcoming. I love that they support great causes. I also check out the menu before I go, and I saw the house sandwich. It looked delicious, the server recommended it, so I went ahead and tried it. great decision. The matcha latte was great as well. I loved the attention to detail and presentation of the food and latte. Everything was so good, and food came out so fast! I was there for a while, and they allowed me to hang out on the porch and read until I was able to check in. I was trying to find my way back there while I was in town, but I didn't make it. I will for sure return whenever I'm in the area. I have to try that waffle flight! read more

Too many good things to share! First, the portions are 10/10. I love when a business doesn't scam you on portions. My iced coffee was huge and I was not expecting that! My toasted bagel with cream cheese was also great. I feel like with coffee shops you either get cool vibes or good taste - rarely both - but this place has both for sure. Exploring different coffee shops in the area, I found this quaint second-level cafe with a spiral staircase, and outdoor seating. My partner and I both ordered our standard oat milk lattes and we will be putting this on our rotation. The service was friendly, and the baristas wrote a handwritten message on each sleeve. I loved the outdoor bar seating as it got a lot of sun in the morning. Will definitely be back! read more

Amazing cafe with awesome coffee, ambiance, and dessert! The waffle pops are out of this world. Do it. I really wanted a breakfast croissant but their southwest breakfast croissant had no croissant (they were out) and no egg(they don't do fresh egg). Otherwise it was basically a tasty lunch sourdough sandwich. Great coffee, though we did get a chipped glass. They replaced it, but still weird. Still, nothing to complain about, I loved the meal, cafe overall, and besides the waffle pops, the affogato was deliriously good, though I only had one amazing bite. This is such a fabulous coffee shop near Miramar Beach. The customer service is great ~ the ambiance is impeccable... and their attention to detail is entrancing for luxury seekers... the plates, glassware, cutlery, all intricately considered. The only downsides are that the parking lot is small and tight, and if you go on the weekend, or during busy season, it can get very crowded in there. read more

We have loved causeway since discovering it almost a year ago. Not only does it have a great atmosphere but the staff has always been nice and friendly. We are a BIG fan and highly recommend the avacado toast with feta and crumbled bacon as well as their cappuccinos. The flights of coffee/energy drinks are also super fun and recently I tried a lavender cold brew with vanilla cold foam and it's a new favorite. Lastly, they allowed dogs which is always a HUGE bonus in my book! read more

We have visited Causeway Coffee multiple times while in Destin. I've gotten the caramel latte each time and LOVED it. Other people in our group have ordered cold brews, matcha lattes, and chai teas. Everyone really liked their drinks as well. They have almond milk as a dairy free option. The baristas were so friendly and wrote encouraging notes on some of our cups. Last day in Destin and my husband wanted to try this place. Walking in the atmosphere was so welcoming from the decorating to the Christ honoring touches to the welcoming cold water as you waited in line to order. The line was wrapped around the place but the staff never lost their smiles or friendliness as they navigated the mass amount of people. I was so excited to find they had GF bread! It's the little things really LOL! My husband and I both had the avocado toast, delicious and just different enough to make it interesting. I had black iced tea and my husband had the iced Americano. Lots of seating indoors and out on the patio. Even the restroom is worth checking out for its unique design. read more

This is probably the best coffee spot in the Destin area. It is located on the second floor of a building, with the journey being beautiful from the elevator to the order counter. The place made me feel like I was in an oasis. I'm not 100% sure, but I felt like there was an air freshener because when I walked in it smelled nice but my throat felt a little overwhelmed and irritated. They have many coffee flavor options and a large food menu that I did not get to try. The worker there was very nice and recommended a custom latte for me with cinnamon and honey which was delicious.
