I love the Lakewood Starbucks. The atmosphere is amazing, and everyone is so nice and friendly. The barista Milly stands out--she's incredibly attentive and always welcoming. There's also a great area for studying and hanging out with friends.

Fast, friendly, accurate service. Inside seating is still blocked off due to COVID. There are 2 restrooms but 1 is blocked off also due to COVID. As a result of the blocked seating, there's lots of space to social distance while waiting to order. The location is on the corner of a busy intersection so getting into and out of the parking lot can be tricky but it's in a great downtown area where you can park nearby and walk to Starbucks. Overall, this location is well worth the visit!

Was on the way to assist with the Baylor-Tom Landry Triathlon and needed a quick bite and drink. As I started to go to a nearby fast food joint, I saw this Starbucks that I'd never been to so made a high G- Force turn into the parking space as this location did not have a drive through. The place was nearly empty and the easy going, slow moving staff was rearranging the displays and pastries. Looking around, it was a rather spacious interior with plenty of interesting /eclectic photos and knick knacks hanging on the walls. Eventually, they took our order. Our order was simple, a decaf-latte, hot chocolate and 2 cheddar & egg sandwiches to go. I had asked if they could add bacon to a bagel with cream cheese and they informed us there wasn't a way to ring that up so they couldn't. After about 5 minutes, our drinks were ready. We began drinking on the drinks while within the store as I remembered I'd never reviewed or taken pictures. A couple of minutes more and the sandwiches were ready. Once we got the sandwiches, we were on the road. Upon arrival in the staging area we spread out our feast and realized they had added a bagel with cream cheese; not ordered but we paid for. I guess I had confused them. The sandwiches were of typical Starbucks taste and high quality. The drinks were the same. The drive through next door would have been faster, cheaper but also no bagel with cream cheese and bacon.

Went here 2 or 3 times while I was in town. Went through the drive thru every time. Was fast and efficient. My drinks were always right and the Baristas were friendly. Great location.

Please note that parking in this area is particularly difficult but if you come in the morning, it should be easier to find. Another thing worth nothing is that they are more of a quick standing coffee bar type of place and I definitely wouldn't recommend it for families or kids, so keep that in mind when visiting. Now to the food... They have a small but mighty menu for breakfast and lunch. For my first time I decided to try their The Monte Duro, which is a pastry style "hot pocket" with smoked prosciutto, mortadella, mustard and jam. For drink I decided to go with their Dirty Chai Latte. The drink was absolutely perfection and exactly what I needed in a warm Texas morning. The Monte Duro was cooked to perfection and packed with flavor! Both my friend and I ordered the same thing and we were both obsessed with it.

The staff is not really friendly but the vibes were still peaceful. Mushroom grilled cheese: This was so yummmy!! The bread comes perfectly crispy and buttery. There were tons of mushrooms and creamy flavor. By far one of the best grilled cheeses I ever had. Banana horchata matcha: This drink was very sweet and good for people that dont like bitter drinks. I loved the banana flavor and it reminded me of banana bread. There was also a lot of cinnamon in the drink which made it so tasty.

It's got that airy, high-ceiling energy that's perfect for getting work done without feeling like you're trapped in a cubicle. The Vibe: It's cool without trying too hard. You'll see local art on the walls and plenty of natural light. By day, it's a laptop paradise with lo-fi beats; by night, the lights dim, the music picks up, and the patio becomes the place to be--especially if you have a dog in tow. Happy Hour (3 PM - 7 PM Daily): This is the real draw. Their Espresso Martini is a local legend, but the Chocolate Espresso Martini is the move if you want something decadent. If you're there on a Tuesday, they run happy hour prices all night. Don't sleep on the $5 pimento grilled cheese--it's the ultimate "I'm not that hungry but I need a snack" food. The People: Expect a very "Lower Greenville" crowd: a mix of productive millennials, SMU students with headphones on, and groups of friends sharing s'mores kits (yes, you can roast them at your table). The staff is laid-back and friendly, though they definitely stay hustling during the weekend brunch rush. Bottom line: It's reliable, unpretentious, and arguably the best spot on the block to switch from a latte to a lager without changing seats.

However they were attentive and the overall ambiance was nice and upbeat for a brunch place. Food wise, everything here was average. Nothing stood out as something I absolutely would come back for. We got two Benedict's that were not very warm and has hollandaise/gravy that was not very flavorful but the home fries were seasoned and fried well. The French toast was quite good but was very obviously put in the microwave right before serving with a steaming hot center. The best part was the blueberry kale salad which had a nice vinaigrette and the cashews were a nice touch. Overall, with the number of brunch spots in Dallas I would reserve halcyon for study/coffee spot as opposed to a must try weekend brunch.

You can tell they take pride in getting the flavor right. Service was on point. They were patient, answered all our questions about the different matcha options, and never made us feel rushed. The lobby was full of people posted up working or hanging out, and honestly the vibe was not bad at all -- kind of chill, kind of creative, the type of spot you could stay in for a while. The associate at the counter said that they can't make it with almond milk, which I never said almond milk I asked for oat milk & yet she offered me whole milk. That defeats the purpose of me requesting oat milk. I would happily eat either again without hesitation. Drinks: * 10 oz iced vanilla latte -- creamy, smooth, and made with quality-tasting beans. I genuinely thought there had been a pouring mistake, so I politely asked at the counter. The response? "Yes, that's correct--it's supposed to be about 1 1/2 inches from the top." Reader, it was not 1 1/2 inches. It was more like "emotionally distant from the rim." I even slid the cup closer, hoping maybe perspective was playing tricks on me. Nope. Same answer. Same empty real estate at the top of the cup. Now, I understand cappuccinos aren't filled to the brim. I respect foam science. I honor espresso traditions.
