They also have free pup cups set up near the pick up station if anyone wants to give one to their dog, which is very sweet. It was my first time at the Starbucks in the West Village. The layout and atmosphere of the store was nice however the prices not so great. I guess all stores are not alike. I ordered the Iced Cherry Chai Latte small. It was the smallest cup I ever seen with a whopping price of $6.12. You get a larger cup for water. I thought what a complete ripe off. It really bothered me as I walked home. So, I decided to stopped at the Starbucks inside of Tom Thumbs on Field Street. I asked the young lady who was sweet and friendly the price for small, the price was less than $6 and a normal size cup. The two location are a mile or less apart. Why the disparity? Spacious, tidy, and, cozy. There's even a fireplace at this location. Courteous and efficient are the baristas. Strong and robust are their brewed coffee in their signature paper cups and sleeves to-go. The look and aroma of any specialty coffee drinks is just as important as the taste to me; never to go. Per request, glad for here to serve my espressos, cappuccinos, and flat whites in real coffee cups. At times, the line and wait is long, hard in finding a seat and hear oneself. The location of this Starbucks is cute literally in the middle of uptown; but there is no nearby parking only like 5 spots but they are shared with the other restaurants next to them. I ordered an iced matcha with a shot of espresso, which obviously wasn't given to me. When i saw my drink it was completely all green and tasted just like matcha only, I told my barista, "hey this is supposed to have a shot of espresso" & replied with "it does" then rolled his eyes. I was running late and couldn't wait for another drink to be made but my drink did not have a shot of espresso although I freaking paid extra for it!! I came here the other weekend on a Sunday mid-morning. The line was almost to the door. In some Starbucks this would be a five wait, but this Starbucks is huge! So, twenty minutes later I had my drink in hand. I must have come at the busiest time possible. Ha! The layout is very open and spacious. It Starbucks, so you know the menu. Unfortunately, they don't have the nitro cold brew on tap, but they still have the regular cold brew. The store itself has one of the largest sitting areas I've seen for a Starbucks, and thus is a popular choice among students who are studying, or just people in general taking advantage of the free wi-fi. I'm really not sure how I've never visited this Starbucks. I shop and dine in the Uptown area quite frequently. So I was very pleased when I walked into this location. It's very spacious and has plenty of seating. Usually, at most Starbucks trying to find seating on a busy Saturday is a pain. However, you have plenty of tables, chairs and couches to choose from. The patio is large and roomy as well. So go ahead and soak up the sunshine. Luckily for me there was no line. I was able to walk up and order my drink. My barista wasn't the friendliest. I don't know if I caught him at a bad moment or what. However, I got over it when my drink came out perfect. Not excusing his behavior but it wouldn't prevent me from coming back. I would recommend this location for a quick meet-up or small meeting. No need to send one person ahead of time to save seats. LOL! Remember this is West Village and parking is not that great. The few times I've come to this particular location was to meet up with friends to relax and have a (non-alcoholic) drink or to work on the computer. This would be the perfect place but there is never any seats or outlets available every time I come! I have to stand around and be creepy as I wait for people to finish what they're doing in hopes to finding a spot to sit. My suggestion: If you don't need an outlet for your computer, be courteous and sit elsewhere, maybe even outside on their awesome, beautiful, large patio! If you want to do a group study there's big tables both in the front and the back which are very spacious. The back area even has a divider that makes it seem more private if you prefer. For people looking for drink recommendations, I usually choose my drink dependent on the season: Summer: 1. Hazelnut frappucino w/ whip cream on top. - depends on the Starbucks but some places know how to make a pretty decent one 2. Venti black ice tea lemonade w/ 2 pumps of raspberry - my less heavy recommendation for a sunny day. You can get with or without lemonade if you prefer to sweeten your own tea Winter: 1. Location: Heart of West Village Uptown area so be prepared to be surrounded. Huge space with PLENTY of desks and table set ups for it to earn it's honest reputation of laptop central. I work near this location so I mainly catch it during the day. Great place for office meetings (no private meeting room), brainstorming sessions and generally just working/playing on your laptop. All different types of people come here. They've got couches to your regular table and chairs to high tables and chairs. It's very comfortable to lounge and hang out in. A very happening atmosphere. This Starbucks is definitely one of the most convenient Starbucks in Dallas. It's pretty central in the city & so easy to find. Parking can be a pain because of how crowded West Village is. The Starbucks though is HUGE and you can find plenty of seating. It is definitely a place I love to work and meet with people. The drinks are good and pretty standard compared to any of the other Starbucks locations. The staff is normally friendly but I have encountered a few unfriendly baristas. That can be deterring but I like this Starbucks for the convience factor and it stays open till midnight unlike most Starbucks and coffee shops in general! read more

Pros: One of the most spacious Starbucks in town but also one of the busiest -- it can get really crowded, especially on the weekends. The lighting is very good (bright lights for studying/working and lots of windows for natural lighting as well). The baristas are always very friendly as well. Cons: They keep the thermostat really low for some reason and it can get really cold (especially in the back corner where the air vents are) so don't forget to bring a jacket if you plan to stay for more than 10 minutes. This Starbucks is in the West Village area which means you can spend a few hours working or studying here and then take a shopping break, go for food, or take advantage of the people-watching opportunities! This Starbucks location is easily one of the largest I've ever been in and there are so many tables so it's great for getting work done! However, the place gets surprisingly crowded, even in the middle of the day on a weekday so the coveted few tables near the electrical outlets are usually all taken. The place is always kept clean which is not a small feat given the number of tables and people there are here to clean up after. That said, it gets pretty loud in here on busy (read: most) days. It's been too crowded on enough of my visits here for me to be hesitate driving out here if I know it's peak time. There's street parking right outside the entrance but the multiple (and free!) parking garages in West Village are an easy walk away. I've also stayed here late and walked back to the parking garage alone in the dark before and it didn't feel too sketch because there are lots of shops and restaurants around. I really love the ambience of this Starbucks, there's dark brown wood tables everywhere, wood walls with stone accents, the dark color scheme just feels so...warm and inviting (like their coffee!). Okay, that was super cheesy and the coffee is just normal Starbucks coffee but I go here for the ambience and table space to study. When I'm in this area, I alternate between this Starbucks and SipStir as my go-to study spots, so if this Starbucks is too packed head on over to check SipStir out! read more

This is probably the largest Starbucks I've ever frequented in my life! If you've come here to socialize with friends you will find PLENTY of seating as this location is like a revolving door. The same comment goes to individuals who are working, studying, or engaging in other activities solo. If you need an outlet, there are plenty on the other side of the entrances with some on the floor, or near the windows. I'm giving this location 4 stars only because the drinks are usually good. This is probably one of my favorite Starbucks I've been too for a number of reasons. First is location. By location I mean the people watching. It's in the middle of West Village in Dallas so there's a constant flux of people walking by, on patio's, shopping or driving by. Lots of 30,000 millionaires to be seen as well. Just keep an eye out for the loud music and windows rolled down in their cars. The second is the number of plugs to charge your laptop or phone. Perfect for people working or knocking out some emails or a change of pace for a few hours. The third is free refills for Gold card members. This is at any Starbucks but the fact that they offer this still is sweet. And last by not least is the size of the Starbucks in West Village. I think I remember them saying it's one of the biggest in the US. I may be wrong but one of the barista's mentioned this. The service is spot on and the drinks are on point. When you first walk in they have pub tables for people to sit at, followed by a long isle of tables. In back on the starbucks its sitting area where you can find plenty of wall outlets! Let me start with this : I AM STARBUCKSOHOLIC. Love Starbucks, but there are some places, their service is so poor. Like this place. I used to come here at night and they always had amazing staffs. They helped, they suggested and their services were the Top of greatness. However, the old staffs were gone, new people work there with poorly services. I have been in here one time, two of the staffs were arguing and I was standing in line and waiting for them to finish their arguments. Ummm... this Starbucks is huge! Plenty of tables and chairs, although with the large amount of traffic here, there will still be days where you can't find a place to sit. They recently redecorated the place to maximize the seating space, so it isn't as hard to find a spot as it used to be. Lots of outlets too, which is great. If you can't find a place to plug your laptop into the wall, try looking for plugs on the floor. This Starbucks also has a nice outdoor patio for you to sit and enjoy the weather (for that one month out of the year where the weather is actually nice in Texas) or people watch (it is West Village after all). read more

They have a HUGE patio with comfortable chairs where you can lounge with your group of friends for as long as you want without getting the stink eye from employees. Everything about this place was clean and seemed newer. A lot of people bring their laptops out here and just hang out here. Fantastic place if you prefer your baristas unfriendly and your service painfully & unjustifiably slow. A particular highlight this morning was getting to wait an extra 7 minutes after my sandwich had been removed from the oven so that the red hatted 'barista' tasked with reheating the prepackaged foods could text his friends and update his social media status with his iPhone for all the customers to see...all while the food orders continue to stack up on him. Obviously the extra topping of uncaring neglect made my already overpriced & prepackaged sandwich taste just that much better. Not surprisingly the line grew from 2 deep to 15 deep before I ever got my food. It is honestly heartwarming to see a large corporation like Starbucks making strides in retaining even their most incompetent and disinterested employees. That's top down loyalty, something rare in this day and age. Other than that, just save yourself the headache and go to the Starbucks down at Columbus Square (SW corner of Allen St & McKinney Ave). They are much, much friendlier and the employees actually seem to enjoy working with each other. Yes parking is a pain but it's a pain at West Village too. They do have quite a few 15min or less spots now that don't require a parking receipt so that should help. read more

I LOVED the store. No complaints there. Its huge, comfortable, and expertly decorated. The chairs and couches outdoors were phenomenal and very impressive. However, the employees were not very friendly. No smiles, no cordialities, just cold and impersonal. Although we tried to be cordial, it was not even acknowledged, as if we weren't even standing there. And it happened to be the manager. No wonder the other partners/employees aren't friendly. It starts with leadership... And the trash was overflowing the whole time we were there, and the coffee bar was very messed up. This is a really large Starbucks location. A lot of people are here on their laptops or sell phones are sitting across the table from someone and what would appear to be a meeting type situation. It is kind of loud in here, and although there was no one in line in front of me I have to wait for the employees to finish the conversations before helping me.
