Rude employees not allowing conversations with friends unless you order something (we did)

Extremely rude staff who do not respect their customers. While I was sitting in the cafe, a barista yelled at a group of girls who were not disturbing anyone for talking in the cafe without buying a drink when they clearly purchased multiple items. I would expect Starbucks to better handle their employees, do better. read more

This location somehow manages to mess up every drink order every single time. The ratio between milk/cold foam/any creamer to the actual drink you order is insane. So basically you're paying $8+ for a cup of milk. read more

Dirty place, bathroom, and pick-up counter. People there are desultory. Did not have what was needed for my drink but charged me anyway and gave me something cheaper. Did not credit me. They also forgot what I asked for on the side. Takes two seconds to wipe the pick-up counter - but they don't care. Poor training and low expectations. Parking lot is bad but that's not a controllable factor. Had a photo of the pick-up counter but the internet not working so couldn't upload it. read more

This starbucks needs saving. Trash is overflowing 85% of the time. Bathrooms are filthy. Staff is overwhelmed and therefore lack any semblance of customer service. Wait time for drinks is frequently 30-40 minutes. Why don't they shut down mobile orders before it gets this bad? It's impossible to order/plan because you might be stuck waiting so long that you're late for wherever you're going. read more

Legitimately terrible. Took 20 minutes for a mobile order chai. When I finally asked the barista about my drink, he looked at me (with his condescending teenager angsty eyes) through his unkempt long, stringy hair and said: "yea, I know," and proceeded to roll said eyes. I will never return and Concord should be ashamed of their teenagers. The parking is horrendous but not as bad as the baristas. Oh and the drink sucked. read more

Awful honestly! I love Starbucks and have been to many in Massachusetts regularly, though this one in Concord is terrible! Very rude staff!!! I will wait there at the counter and they just keep their backs to me, rolling their eyes. The atmosphere is large, but barely any seating, tons of delivery boxes out. That's bad enough but this morning they left the mobile order function on so I ordered and paid for a coffee, only to find the store closed when I arrived. Great service and a really nice atmosphere. It's usually pretty busy but they do a great job getting what you want and in the time you need it. Everyone that works there is always friendly and very courteous = just a bunch of great people - but the barista Talya is a standout in this place, she is the BEST!!! read more

As others have said, the parking at this Starbucks location is very inadequate. However, if you want to grab a cup before the train arrives, this is the place to go. Some positives and negatives: In general, I find the coffee and pastries/sandwiches/treats here to be consistent with the quality you find at any Starbucks. I've been a customer here for years, and have always found the staff to be very pleasant, helpful, and determined to provide their customers with a good experience. On the other hand, I have recently noticed a dip in the quality of the experience at this location. Yesterday's experience was the worst so far, but was also merely the latest episode in a decline I've seen over the last several months. Yesterday I was the second person in line (at about 10:30am, theoretically not a busy time) and yet it took around 15 minutes for me to order and then get a Latté and donut. The first problem was that the person at the register was simply trying to do too much: they had to make a new pot of coffee for the man ahead of me, and were apparently also simultaneously dealing with a bunch of other tasks and orders already in process. A big issue was that they neglected to tell me they were out of "Venti" coffee cups (!!!!!). The Barista called me over and told me this once they got around to making my drink, which added to the already long wait. The Barista was very apologetic: offering to make me a Grandé size drink instead, and giving me a gift card for a future free coffee. I also noticed that the counter where straws, cream & napkins are provided (and the nearby trashcans) needed some serious attention and cleaning. The impression I came away with was that the store at present is shorthanded, and may also have some significant managerial challenges - not saying the manager is incapable, though I would guess that they are likely also overwhelmed and/or perhaps not receiving enough support from their own superiors. So, while I like the store, and it is a very convenient location, the long wait is a deal killer for me, let alone the lack of essentials like coffee cups. So, I will be avoiding this location for a few months and hope they get things back on even keel by the time I return. read more

This place needs more seating. There is an absolutely huge counter, at least ten feet long, that usually just has crushed delivery boxes or coffee grounds for composting languishing on it--or worse yet, there is nothing at all on the table and it is wasted space. Raise the counter level, put some seats under it, and let people sit there. The feng shui of the place is all wrong: there is a tacky island of merchandise in the middle of the store, while the customers are shunted into a corner. The large, cheap table in the seating area was probably butt-ugly when it was new, but now it just looks shoddy. So much for the Starbucks experience. "Please drop four bucks for our undistinguished latte and leave." Also, this place closes too early. In summer, there are plenty of kids skating in the nearby parking lot around 9pm who would like to get an iced coffee drink, but the door's already been locked. Starbucks also misses out on all the high school age customers getting out of the local high school football game on Friday nights. That being said, many of the baristas here are very friendly and charming. In particular, there is a tall guy who looks like a cute version of Eli Roth who is very nice. read more

If you're going to need a wake up call, then Starbucks is the place for you! They include many fairly priced treats to go along with your daily caffeine fix. And might I add, their caffeine fix is spectacular! From cold brews to hot lattes, this is my kind of café! read more

beautiful Starbucks!! I read that some people said it's small, but I found this one to actually be unusually spacious with its layout and with its signature decor, it felt especially nice in the winter. There's a dedicated parking lot which is nice and it almost looks like you're going into someone's house to get coffee. Perhaps I come from the suburbs and the city and those Starbucks are feel small and cramped and that's why this one was so nice, so take that into account! My friend collects the mugs of each area and they had both editions of the Boston mug which was great for selection. They also had all of their holiday specials laid out and even though they didn't have the signs up for the holiday drinks anymore, they were still happy to make them for my friend upon request since they had all the ingredients (pumpkin latte!) The people that work there were friendly and seemed to chat with other customers so I think if I lived in the area, I'd come here often! read more

Yes, it's a Starbucks. Does it really need a review? Probably not, but I really like this location. It's easy to snag a comfy chair and the staff are warm and friendly. This Starbucks has a Clover machine, so they'll individually brew a cup of coffee for you. My favorite is the Kona, and it's a Starbucks deal at $2.60 for a tall. In most locations with Clovers I have to ask for a grande cup so there's room for milk, but here they do it without having to ask. That just makes me happy. The one downside is the parking lot. It can be hard to get a spot, and there's not much street parking nearby. But it's worth the hassle. read more

I don't drink coffee so I can not expand on review of the quality of the coffee. What I can say is I come to Starbucks across the eastern MA area for business meetings , and this place is nice, clean, but is not a hang-out friendly place for its customers. The parking lot is a disaster to say the least. I drive a big pick-up, so I know that because of that I can not complain, but even for regular sized cars the parking lot is small, cramped and terrible. To make matters worse it is located on a busy intersection and people have to wait in the street to pull in because there is not enough room in the parking lot for two cars to maneuver around. On top of that, the inside of the Starbucks is small and there is very limited seating so it is tough to get a spot to sit down. Like I said - no idea on coffee, but just because of the reasons above, I would go across the street to DD. read more

Teeny tiny Starbucks with not much parking. However, the baristas were very helpful and asked me several questions about my order (not too difficult, one cookie crumble frappuccino w/o coffee and one iced green tea soy latte, but I'm glad they were so dedicated to getting my order correct - I always appreciate the extra effort especially with drinks that have been customized!) -- There was a large order in front of us and our drinks came out at a good pace - the wait wasn't too long at all. The latte was delicious and my other half liked his frappuccino. I recommend this location if you find yourself in Concord! Very cozy and out of traffic. read more

I also had the pleasure of awkwardly watching the barista tell off a customer for reaching for a coffee that had been sitting in an aparent "no grab zone" for five minutes. Usually, I have exceptional encounters at this Starbucks. The workers often times know my name, order, and pretty quick when it comes to making drinks. However, that was not the case on January 11, 2020 at 11:30 am. It was a warm January day, and all I wanted was a nice iced coconut milk latte with blond espresso, not to complicated, especially since it was a specialty drink right advertised behind the cashier. I happily payed and ordered my drink with the kind cashier, however, 10 minutes later, the drink was no where to be found! And, it wasn't exceptionally crowded, people who ordered after me had already received their drinks. So I kindly asked the barista if my drink was almost ready, only to find out that my drink had not been written down at All! So I told her I wanted the latte, but when I received the latte, it was not at all what I ordered! See, it had whole milk in it, but little did she know, I'm lactase non persistent, so milk gives me tummy troubles. So anyways, I tell her that's not my order, and she snaps at me and turns around and yells to her self. Then, he coworker happily made the correct drink while the previous employee proceeded to throw a temper tantrum. I left wondering why I wasted $5+ on mediocre coffee paired with bad service. I am a great fan of Starbucks coffee and visit lots of their coffee shops. I always avoid this location because of the lack of parking (don't even try to get into or out of the parking lot) and their lack of seating. If you want to park down the street and get a carryout coffee then it's fine. read more

Starbucks is one of thee many coffee houses I visit every morning of so. What I love about starbucks is the ability to completely customize your order (unlike Dunkin' Donuts). The downside to this starbucks in particular, is it's location and it's parking lot. Because it's right by the local high school and middle school (s), you will find the local concord parent or student driving recklessly or just on their cell phone, and not paying attention. It's parking lot is another gripe I have with starbucks. It's not cared for as well as it should be, and the size of it is ridiculously small. read more

The world does not need a Starbucks on every corner and it particularly does not need one on this corner. The key problem (other than over priced coffee) is that there isn't anywhere near enough parking. You often have to wait a long time for a space and the people waiting can mess up the traffic in the whole intersection nearby. If you are going to have a Starbucks in suburbia, you need decent parking and this one just doesn't have enough. read more
