Employees are so rude, made my order through the drive thru got to the window nobody acknowledged that I was there didn't even say hi! The place was filthy I know they are busy but you can still wipe the counter down between heating things or making a drink. I think they all need a course in customer service, if you don't want to be there then leave don't take it out on the customer because at the end of the day we are the ones paying your wages! Review #144 - 2017 I've been to this Starbucks many, many times. I usually stop on my drive to Reno, if I make my drive out before dark. This spot is usually crazy busy during winter because everyone stops here for a hot drink and to use their restroom, of course! I honestly feel bad for the employees here because I have seen this place completely packed inside, while the drive through is also backed up. I have to say that they do a great job at managing the lines and getting the drinks made as quickly as possible. Also, even though so many people go in and out of their bathrooms, thank goodness they have two, they try their best to keep them clean. My last visit here on a Monday evening, while heading back home from Reno, was much different because there was only one other person in line so my drink was done in like 2 minutes. Unequivocally, this is the worst Starbucks experience I ever had. Coming down from a day trip in the snow, I was feeling the tug in my eyes. I saw this Starbucks from a sign in I-80 freeway so I exited to get some gas and a Starbucks drink so I can continue to chug along the road. I ordered my brother's Caramel Macchiato and my White Chocolate Mocha to go. It took them a ghastly 30 minutes to get my drink! What was worse was I think my order even got lost in the ordering cue, as the manager (I think) finally made my drink. Nothing is much worse than waiting for your coffee for an eternity, when you just want to get home quickly. I grew roots on my feet and was really irritated, I didn't even need any coffee anymore to quell my sleepy eyes. In those 20 minutes I had the opportunity to observe the barista: at least 4 wrong drinks were handed out, calling out the drink without calling out the owner of the drink, and a Green Tea (I think) remake that still has clumps of green tea powder at the bottom. In my slightest hint of objectivity, I did notice that the the drive-thru crew were very much on top of it and was handing out drinks like a boss and the manager who finally got me straightened out made my drinks in a sinch and even handed me a free drink gift card. I often drive from the Bay area to reno or we are driving from the Central Coast to Reno and stop at this Starbucks. My experience at thsi location usually leaves me frustrated and wondering how a Starbucks could be so poorly staffed. Yesterday afternoon was the pinnacle of bad service, and dealing with a snotty young woman who after I told her the service at this Starbucks is the worst I have ever encountered at any Stabucks she said " then don't come here anymore". I love this Starbucks. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I actually drive specifically to this Starbucks even though there is one closer to my home because I prefer this location. I am only sad they discontinued the chicken quinoa salad because it was gluten free and dairy free. BUT the staff has gone above and beyond to make this Starbucks special. read more

On July 25 around 1:00 pm or so we were on a long Rv trip so I ordered my drink ahead for a quick stop. It wasn't the greatest place to stop with a big RV so my husband parked in the gas station nearby. I ran in to pick up my drink only to find they hadn't made it because they had no green tea matcha for my drink. Usually the order site will tell you if it's not available. I didn't want coffee so I asked if they could just give me one of their free drink cards to get a drink at another time to replace the drink I already paid for but are not getting. My phone /wallet were in the RV so they couldn't credit me. The young girl started to write my name on a piece of paper. What good is that going to do? I told her I won't be coming back to this store and again I asked if she could just give me a free drink card? I wanted to get moving. She said she would be right back and I assume it was a manager who came out to me. She said, " so what's your problem?" That is exactly what she said!!!!! Are you kidding me? I replied, "I don't have a problem." She then asked what I need? I explained the whole story, which should have already been told to her and asked a third time for a free drink card so I could get the heck out of there. Worst Starbucks location EVER! Stopped by here to get a drink. The parking lot was so full that I couldn't even get a spot. This place is located in BFE so I completely don't understand why. Finally got a spot, went inside to use the bathroom first and the line was going around the restaurant. Wow! Waited 20min for the bathroom. Then I had to get into the other line to order. Gayle and I stopped here yesterday, as our rest and walk the dog stop on our way up to Truckee to visit friends. This place looks like an old Pizza Hut or other chain and I don't think the Starbucks model has completely transferred. Our biggest issue (and mistake) was trying to park in the right hand area, which is in direct conflict with the drive-thru line, and with tight clearances for both parties. The service was fast and friendly inside, although I found the inside lounge area to be comfortable in an East German sort of way. This Starbucks is decent except for a few weaknesses. I'll start with the most obvious: the bathroom. When I walked into the bathroom, there was what looked like fresh urine on the floor with wet paper towels scattered about. It looked like it had not been cleaned in days. I'm sure it is very difficult to keep a Starbucks bathroom clean when anyone can just walk in. But the condition of that urine stench bathroom is not acceptable. The items on the menu are fine and it is the usual Starbucks fare. The main section of the restaurant is also ok, but could use some more cleaning. The staff was friendly but could have been more attentive. They seemed slow and on their own pace. I'd come back to this Starbucks, it's fine but I'd avoid the bathroom. read more

All though I like the quality of food that comes out this location is the slowest I've ever seen. We even placed our order ahead of time on the app. And still waited 15 minutes. Absolutely outrageous! If I can give any establishment a negative anything this store got the award. I walked into the store at 4:16. I walked out without my drinks at 4:48! Unbelievable! The barista name Hannah was such a ridiculous hire Starbucks should be ashamed. (There are plenty of names I can call her!). They messed up my drinks and not only did they not make it right away, she said I had to wait longer to get my drinks and screamed "you have to wait in line!" Because of it's location between Reno and the Bay Area, this location is the Starbucks I frequent most, at a variety of times - often off-hours. The folks there are comparable in the "friendly/polite category" to other locations, but the service is consistently the slowest of any I've ever experienced. Even when traffic appears slow and numerous people are in view, they are hesitant to even recognize or acknowledge me. They just continue with their other chores (cleaning, stocking, fixing machines, chatting with co-workers) - organized confusion or indifference. It's become our joke and we just have to laugh it off because it's also usually a bathroom stop. Anyway, the customer service at Colfax is flat-out poor and I suspect the operation is badly mismanaged. P.S. I am a Starbucks stockholder and I cringe at this operation. I was really hoping that one day Starbucks food selection would be really good. I get it though. Coffee and Tea are their thing and they're not a restaurant. It is hard to ignore the fact that the pastries and sandwiches are totally pre made when the barista is cutting them out of little plastic bags and popping them in the case in front of you. They got it right! I've stopped here many times, and I always joke about them getting something wrong. Today, my cinnamon dolce skinny latte was yum, strawberries and cream frap for the boy was good, and the pastries for the hubby were appreciated. Service was quick, friendly, and patient with my indesciveness. I think I'm the only person who goes to Starbucks and never knows what to order. Then I get the same thing every time. She had to ask someone. The guy said I had to pay the price it was marked. Canada price was $30.00. So the mug was not at 50 per cent. read more

This is an ENORMOUS Starbucks - I can only imagine they must get a ton of visitors during ski season! I enjoyed a relatively quiet morning coffee while on my way home recently - friendly young staff, clean kitchen and dining area. This store gets a lot of business from I-80 traffic going into or out of the mountains. Bathrooms are always clean. The WiFi is screaming fast, the staff are friendly and quick. SLOW and RUDE. I ordered my drink, it wasn't super crowded in drive thru nor in store. Food cam out after 5 minutes and then two drinks came out after 2 minutes! One drink order was delivered cold not hot as I ordered. I asked if I could please have my drink made hot since that is how I ordered it. The lady rudely stated that she only make the blonde latte iced. I said then why do they offer it hot? She acted like I ordered it cold. Our 2017 summer vacation received an unexpected extension, and we left the Bay Area en route to Salt Lake City before 6AM on the Friday before the Fourth Of July weekend. With traffic being sparse, we flew up I-80, avoiding the Sacramento rush hour traffic, and blitzed our way through the Sierras (we'd make the Nevada state line by 9AM). In the foothill hamlet known as Colfax, we pulled over to Chevron to fill up on gas, and more importantly, a stop for human energy. And Starbucks, love em or hate em, usually does this just fine. Apparently this franchise gets its share of visitors (and being the last town of any note before Truckee, this isn't really that surprising), as evidenced by its rather large lobby (arguably the largest coffee shop I've ever seen). While the crew on hand wasn't the swiftest I've ever dealt with, they did just fine (and to be fair the joint wasn't that busy when we arrived), especially considering they also had to deal with a rather overbearing helicopter mom for whom they couldn't quite get the various requirements right. In the end, my white chocolate mocha got me through Elko, the wife's chai latte got her through Fernley, and we were able to do the rest of our 550 miles that day sans caffeinated incident. read more

Always have a great experience here but today the baristas went above and beyond to make my pumpkin cream cold brew one of a kind! Absolutely worst service ever! We were here at 4:34 and ordered a grande iced white mocha like we usually do and it was the most milk tasting drink we have ever gotten. We had asked the barista to add another shot because it tasted unusually milky when normally it tasted fine. The barista not only chose to charge for that shot but showed attitude while saying so. It would have been fine but seeing them order their pizza and be fine between themselves was not okay.
