Starbucks Colfax Ca Couple of weeks ago I lost my teeth on the way to Reno and was sure it was at this location. Arriving back at Starbucks from Reno. I went dumper driving for the Jack in the Box bag I threw the teeth in. While there the staff (swing shift 5/1) was very helpful offering gloves and something to drink and of course the sympathy I really needed at that time. With no luck a decided I wasn't going to fine them. While leaving I asked to keep an eye out just in case. While driving home on Friday I made a point to stop and check with them he it was found. Asked the first associate any luck she knew-nothing, "let me check with my manger" She was very aware of the teeth story. She took me how they went through the dumpster empting out every bag and sorting through everything she took her team if it is here we'll find it. I never asked for that kind of service and was surprised and touched. Teams from multiple shifts with kind heart caring about a customer and showing it the way they did is not something I will forget soon. Thank you all you all help read more

Wow! No more lines? People wherever! The bathrooms were awful!! They don't call your name !!! They call out your drink and with so much noise there is total confusion on who's drink it ready!! So about a month ago my husband and I stopped in here for a coffee. When he went into the bathroom it was a disgusting mess. When he talked to The Bistro at the register she proceeded to tell him the manager wasn't there then the manager came out and she didn't seem to care either so we got the phone number of the owner and she was very apologetic. He was just trying to let her know how her establishment looked when she wasn't there so she wanted to give him a complimentary coffee and donut she asked for his phone number and then proceeded to never call back doesn't seem like she cared either you know business is established on customer service a lot of times and following through read more

I stop by this Starbucks on my way to/from Tahoe every time I go (at least 4/5 times a year). Short/Sweet, this is one of my favorite starbucks'. The drive-through is always a breeze, the employees always seem chipper and up-beat, and the food/drinks are always on point. Keep it up guys! read more

Simple story...1/02/2017 @ 7 pm after we stuck in snow storm for 8 hrs and I bought 2 venti-caramel spiced cider with 2 sandwiches and asked for a small water cup because my 6 yr daughter just wants to try due both adults have cold. Stopped here on our way home from Tahoe. FRIENDLIEST STARBUCKS EMPLOYEE I HAVE EVER MET!!!!!!!!!!!! Her name was Elisabeth and she was working the drive-thru. This girl deserves some praise. I don't know what it is with this particular Starbucks...but unfortunately this has always been one of the least friendly Starbucks. We usually stop here on our way back into town...along with everyone else and their brother...in theory it's the perfect spot for a pit stop and a tea...but in reality we always end up getting annoyed with how rude the employees always are! This Starbucks is very conveniently located rite off the freeway.Be advised it gets crowded with tourists but I guess that's to be expected. They recently remodeled and it looks great. I especially like that they have electrical plugs at every table. Lately the drive through has not been working out too well for me. The last few times I place my order at the speaker and when I get to the window they are not quite sure what I ordered. I am happy that they clarify but really repeating my order at the window everytime gets old. This is also one of the slower starbucks drive throughs I have been to. read more

This is my favorite waiting spot to chill early morning while I'm waiting to meet up with friends. By far this is one of my favorite lounge rest stop areas for a starbucks. The seats are nice and comfy and there is wi-fi for you to surf. The facilities are clean and there's a drive thru if you're truly on the go. read more

We stop at Starbucks before the drive up to Tahoe and the water heater or something broke down so they are closed for repair but the staff was outside giving out free house coffee. I am not sure which coffee beans but it was not very nice. I do appreciate the staff giving free coffee. read more

Okay, so you might be thinking, "It's just another Starbucks." This Starbucks however is located right off the freeway and perfectly accessible and visible when driving back from Tahoe. We went through the drive-through and found ourselves behind an SUV who took forever to order and took double the time at the pay window. We could not figure out the problem, but it was clear that whoever was helping them out was pleasant and patient. When we got to the window, the barista apologized, explained they have been having trouble with the new app and gave our coffee to us in gratis. What a surprise! The coffee hit the spot after only having hotel coffee, but somehow this experience made the coffee taste better. read more

I visited this Starbucks recently over a holiday weekend. This Place has a huge inside seating area and a small parking lot. It is very easy off and on the freeway. The drink I got was spot on despite the post holiday craziness and the condition of the place. The employees were tired and slammed but friendly despite there was a steady long line. They needed more help and no one was managing. 3 stars because of the condition of the cafe and the only bathroom was trashed (line for the one bathroom was crazy long and people relieving themselves out back behind the propane tank) and the other one still broken from nearly a year ago or more. (If it is blocked off and not fixed for that long it appears like it is a staff bathroom.) During less busy periods this is probably a nice location. Solid for drinks at any time. read more

This has been everything from my office, to my parlor, to my favorite Colfax breakfast spot, to my Hwy 80 pit stop, to my Colfax community pulse, to my happy place period for the last ten years. Ive seen people come and go behind that counter, watched some ridiculous humanity ordering coffee and tearing up the toilets. For the volume and kind of "Burger King" beating this place takes from every socioeconomic sector under the sun i have to say its the very nicest Starbucks ive ever been to! I started my habit in Vancouver in 1990 and left an annoying "Ooh La La" SF Fidi knee-jerk routine to cross over to true corporate coffee. My big sis is a double fisted Peets professional anchored from CAL and somehow my daughter caught that bug from her Auntie. Me? Im a Starbucks girl tried and true. I do brew or a Flat White - I'm simple. And Colfax? Thanks for the pics of the town Founder there with the latest remodel- and lovin up an incredible crew that nurtures CALFire and CHP not to mention most bleary-eyed mommies and even more random Bay Area tahoe-bound types and my miscellaneous self. Worse drive thru experience! First the lady couldn't hear us. We had to ask about bantam bagels and she starts telling us about flavors of the other bagels she had. We got two orders of the French toast bantam bagels and the were all burned and hard like a rock. My tea came incorrectly. The best things was the venti ice water. Oh and what is the deal with not giving napkins? We had to ask with a food item. Feeling irritated! I would rate no stars but can't find the option!!!!! read more

They are sooooo slow! Long lines to get a drink and to their two restrooms. Be prepared to spend no less than 30 min there.

If you're looking for a Starbucks keep on driving to the next one. This one is filled with flies and had no sugar in the raw. When I noticed there was no half & half the girl looked at us funny and offered to pour some directly from the gallon container into my cup. The counter where they place your drinks had empty straw wrappers laid on top and needed to be wiped down. I sat there wondering how many drinks would be handed across the counter before the straw wrappers were picked up..... For all I know they are still there. How does one give more than 2 stars for Starbucks? Nothing new or different, it's usually clean and the service is good enough. From about 3-4 it can be a zoo with the high school kids.. Just have to say, we got in here just ahead of a family reunion road trip (25 people), a cycling group (15 people) and various other patrons. All told, the line literally formed out the door in a matter of seconds.
