We stopped by here on the way to Monterey since we wanted some caffeine for the drive, and we were pleasantly surprised with how lively the cafe was. The baristas were also incredibly nice, patient, and helpful. They made recommendations and served every patron with a smile. I got their ceremonial matcha (they serve both a cafe style and a ceremonial drink) with salted caramel sugar-free syrup and almond milk. In hindsight, I'm getting just regular syrup next time because it tasted pretty artificial--but to be honest, I feel like that's expected when you try to take all the sweetness out of the drink. My sister got their apple pie latte and liked it as well...and I can't remember what my mom got. Either way we thought the space was very cute and had plenty of room and seating, and we just loved the overall vibe of the cafe. I would visit again if I'm ever in the area.

We had such a great experience at Trankis Restaurant in Chowchilla!…read more I ordered the Country Breakfast with country-style potatoes, and everything was delicious. The potatoes were some of the best I've had, covered in cheddar cheese and full of flavor. The biscuits and gravy were also so tasty. My husband ordered the Trio Omelette, which was a high-protein meal and absolutely yummy. The food was great, but what impressed us the most was the sense of community. We got there around 7 AM, and the server was running a little behind. The cook stepped in, took our order, and started cooking. Then one of the regular customers noticed we needed more coffee and kindly served us a second round. That really says a lot about this place. The locals were so friendly, the employees made us feel welcome, and you could tell people truly care about this restaurant. The good food will bring us back, but the people are what made the experience special. I love the small-town feel and the way everyone seems to look out for each other. The locals add such a beautiful touch to this restaurant. We will definitely be coming back!

I would never have remembered, nor realized, it was a cake shop!! Didn't know there was a physical shop as well lol so hopefully I can check that out one of these days... I've got a major sweet tooth! First and foremost, the man behind the booth! My sister and I took notice of how well he did on his own on the last night we were there (watching The Notebook)... he remembered faces and what they ordered. He walked the orders over to them once their pizzas were ready... and he does a damn good job with the pie! Those pizzas are always nicely done and yummy! Because of this-- it's exactly why I took a picture so that I would remember to come back and give the man his flowers... this wasn't our first time either-- he deserves it! It may be a small wait but if you're ordering pizza-- why would you ever expect it right away? Duh. Plus, you know it's fresh when you do finally receive it. Definitely recommend... especially with the views of the Vineyards.

Place had a fun farm theme, from the exterior red barn style architecture, to the barn doors between the dining area and booths, and the all American decor. It was very packed for a Friday morning but we were able to get seated within a few minutes and our server had great hospitality. And when I say... the portions here are GENEROUS - believe me! I couldn't believe how much food you get for your order, and the best part is, every bite hit. I decided to veer out of what I typically get for breakfast and did a lil sweet and savory moment and got the stuffed French toast with a sweet cream cheese filling and strawberry topping, and it came with 2 eggs of your choice, potato of choice, and either bacon or sausage. Bacon had the perfect amount of crisp, I asked for my hash browns extra crispy and they hit it on the nose. My partner got a bacon cheese burger. Bun was toasted, patty was flavorful, bacon was bussin, and he said they don't seem to skimp out at all on the fries! Price was very very reasonable for the portions, about $45 for this- my partner is from the Bay Area and so he's used to this quality of food and portions to be $$$$$$ and he even said this was such a deal! Family friendly place for sure, employees are super attentive, and left satisfied with the meal and service. If you're in town, or even passing through, this is the place to check out for breakfast.
