At least 25% of customers were not wearing masks and it was very crowded inside which made us very uncomfortable. There is a state mandate to wear masks inside at businesses and yet no one was saying anything to the customers. No wonder Chelan county hospitals are beyond capacity. read more

Went to this Starbucks on Labor Day morning, which was CRAZY busy. They had 10 employees working and everyone was hustling. The line was literally out-the-door, as in 20 minute wait time to get your order in, and another 15 minute wait until you got your coffee. We ordered muffins in addition to our breakfast sandwiches, they were sold-out of sandwiches we wanted, and the drink orders were ready before the heated muffins! They'd forgotten our order of muffins, so we asked to simply have them unheated to save time. Staff was kind, it wasn't their fault it was so busy! The parking lot was a complete cluster, we had to back our vehicle out into traffic in order to leave. Would suggest they add additional staffing on the busy holidays as this entire town changes based on hotel/motel bookings (if the hotels and campgrounds are sold out, you know us non-locals are jonsing for our Starbucks fix)! Like a bunch of druggies, we are all cranky crazing for our coffee/breakfast at Starbucks before getting in our cars leaving town for our 3 hour drive back home. read more

Dropped by at this Starbucks while visiting Lake Chelan in July. The building is very nice, with lots of sunlight shining through the windows. I was ordering for a few friends, so my order was a bit complicated than usual. The service was friendly and quick. I think there were like 8 people working behind the counter that day. read more

We end up here whenever we're in town, and its a very nice Starbucks. Great design with glass roller doors to keep us warm in the winter, cool in the summer, and be able to open up in the spring and fall. And glee is a fireplace for those cold, snowy, winter days. The baristas are courteous most all of the time. Sadly, during my last visit I was picking up an order I'd sent in, and no one would make eye contact. I finally had to yell at them to get attention. Pretty lame; which is why this isn't a 5 star location. I typically have a mocha, and my wife has the flat white. WiFi works well. We occasionally order ahead with the Starbucks app, and it is typically ready when we arrive (probably two minutes later). read more

Spent some time in Lake Chelan over the fourth of July weekend. The condo I was staying at did not have internet access. I was pleasently surprised to walk into Starbucks and note a full-on fireplace (which obviously wasn't in use but added to the overall decor), a friendly staff, an absolutely gorgeous view of the Mountains, a spacious area, and a tasty carmel frappacino. SKIP IT AND GO TO ANOTHER LOCAL COFFEE PLACE. We love Starbucks and went once every day for 5 straight days. Every day regardless of time there was an average of 20 people waiting either in line to order or waiting for their drink. The staff misses many drinks since so busy and customers never know whose drink is whose since staff won't put customer names on cups. When I recommended it, I was given a dirty look. Customers always seem frustrated and baristas are easily annoyed by customers whose drinks missed or who are confused if drink is theirs or not. read more

Be grateful there is a Starbucks in town! Besides Walmart, Starbucks is pretty much the only other large chain in town. Everything else is small family owned and operated businesses which is great, but sometimes you just need something reliable like a Starbucks coffee, especially at the crack of dawn when a family business isn't going to be open. We like to stop here when we need to leave Chelan early and they always have friendly baristas and hot food. They do not have a full menu here like no salads or snack packs. This place has real problems. I walked in last Friday afternoon and there were about 20 or so customers just waiting around, many hanging around the pickup table. The place was really dirty with trash around. Like an idiot I ordered some iced tea. Then I waited and waited. While I was filling out the paperwork to get my $2.35 returned several people came and complained about 'waiting for a half hour'. This was my second time visiting this Starbucks. First time was during peak summer season for Chelan and 2nd was today, 3pm on a Friday before the peak weekend ski crowd is really in town. My experiences were virtually the same despite he first visit being one in store and today's being in the drive through. My first visit in summer (it was so bad I still remember it) he store was virtually empty, with a steady drive thru line but not ridiculous. It took them 15 minutes to get our drinks to us and when we got them every single cup was a sloppy mess on the outside - no care taken with them at all. And the sad part was every person in the store waited just as long. They had more than enough people behind the counter to manage these beverages and yet it took so long? Today in the drive thru was no different. Only one car in front of us and we only ordered one latte. We waited 10 minutes for our beverage. And it has a mess down the side of it as well. This store doesn't not meet Starbucks standard. Not even close. And it seems based on previous reviews, that they don't seem to care. Starbucks should overhaul the management here and get things o standard. read more

After reading the Chelan Starbucks Yelp reviews I am clearly not the only one with consistently bad experiences. Sydney with a rude tone of voice told me they were busy and to wait in line for my mobile order as it was not ready when I arrived. When I got to the front of the line she told me to wait off to the side. After a five minute wait I went back up to the counter to see if it was ready. Another barista got the drinks from the back counter, and handed them to me - both hot drinks were literally room temperature. I was so frustrated by that time, I had no energy to ask them to remake the drinks. Come on Starbucks, step up to the plate and fix this problem store, or pull your name from the front of it. read more

Wow harsh reviews from a lot of people. THe great thing about this starbucks is that it is employed by locals. And you are in Chelan! I mean sure most starbucks in larger cities may have better employees, but in a town of 2500 it is great that it can employ the locals to help out. If you are there in the off season, it is just as great as any other starbucks. If you are there during the busy season, what do you expect? Just like every other place in that town, its going to be busy and employees are working as hard as they can! read more

This place was just remodeled taking MONTHS and I can see no functional benefit. The remodel looks as if it should have been done in a week. The food is the same old over microwaved fare as before. If I had stock in Starbucks I would sell it, the loss incurred for this remodel could not be part of any sane business plan. read more
