With one fewer coffee shop option in town, they do tend to get pretty busy. We lucked out this last time and were able to claim a table and stick around a while. The coffee here tastes good but tends to deliver a bit too much of a caffeine punch for me, so I need to remember to order a split shot. I appreciate that they include honey at their self-serve station so I can add the right amount I know I like. I tried a veggie frittata this last time as well and thought it was okay. Cute tees, to-go mugs, and other merch for sale. Looks like they operate as a wine bar in the evenings though I've never come in later in the day to try them out. Maybe next time.

Lake Chelan doesn't have much in terms of high-quality vegetarian or plant-based gourmet options, but Bear Foods was a massively delightful surprise! The store is absolutely PACKED with things that I wanted to look at and take home. I was impressed with how many things they stocked that were items I've only seen online and never seen sold in stored. We took a super long time through the coffee and tea isle and ultimately took a few boxes and tins home with us because their selection was so good. Their cheeses and gourmet snacks area was well stocked, and I could see how some of the vacationing non-locals could keep a business like this afloat even with their considerable prices. I really wanted to go back, but we were in the area for a wedding and our timeline just didn't allow it to happen. Otherwise, I probably would have brought home a lot more of their amazing goodies! Only downside for me was that during our time there, there was a mask mandate, and not a single person working there was masked. I thought that was an odd thing to have despite the state's requirements and especially because they were a grocery store and having significant contact with patrons. Cute little place right on the Main Street of Chelan. Since we were there off season there were…read morenot a lot of place open. Very large and varied menu, take heed if you are a vegetarian, not a lot of choices. We stood and waited to be seated for about 5 minutes even though there were two servers and only a couple of customers eating. The two of them were far more interested in chatting than anything else. Once we were seated, we got beverages right away and our order taken quickly and the food came out super fast. My husband had the blueberry pancake breakfast, three huge pancakes with blueberry compote and whipped cream as well as bacon and an egg. He said pancakes were good and so big he could only eat half. I had a two egg breakfast that came with pancakes or hash browns, choice of bacon or sausage and toast. I opted for hash browns which were really good; that said, the toast was hardly even brown and it was supposed to be sourdough but if it was, pretty sad excuse for it. The bacon, four slices, was not cooked thoroughly and while it should have been crisp it was pretty limp. All in all the breakfast was ok and the restaurant was clean but I've had better food and its hard to ruin breakfast
