This Starbucks is located inside the Omni Hotel and while I usually give Starbuckses 4 stars and above all the time, I must say I was pretty disappointed with this one. It looks like it isn't even that busy but I've been waiting nearly 15 minutes for my drink when I was expecting to have it ready but it took wayy too long. It seemed like everyone else was also awaiting their drinks but took longer than usual - it was quite disappointing as I was in a rush. Drink wise, it was okay. I have a very specific recipe but it wasn't as sweet as I'd like it to be but it was still good coffee. Service was also still pretty friendly aka why it got the three stars it got. read more

So, I am not a huge coffee drinker and an even less Starbuck's fan, as I love one of their competitors...but, every once in a while I break down for their Vanilla Latte. This location is in uptown and what gave them three stars is the service. Yes, they are friendly, but my drink always takes forever and is wrong half the time. I mean, how can you screen up a Venti Vanilla Latte. Based on the fact this location is in uptown it is crowded anytime you go. So, plan on going with a friend, to talk while you wait, or be prepared to stand by yourself for a while. And, sorry, but every time I go I feel like the price has gone up. The worst location. Yes, they are in a location that serves several office buildings, though the store across the street is the same. This morning was the last straw. After waiting over 20 minutes for a mobile order, I inquired. They told me they were busy. Then asked if I checked the mobile order counter, which they had moved from the previous spot. I told them they should have a sign, and they said there's one on the table. Oh, the one surrounded by all the customers so no one can see it? Then after having to show my order I finally got it, after waiting a half hour. 30 minutes! Ridiculous. And the attitude was also unappreciated. read more

I typically mobile order and they always have my drink ready when I arrive. I usually wouldn't leave a review of a Starbuck's since you probably know what you're going to get but wow is this one bad. Dirty, unkempt interior, my order was completely wrong and on top of that the coffee was COLD (like I had to pop it in the office microwave). How is the coffee already cold at 6:50AM? This Starbucks is terrible. They are perpetually understaffed. If you want to wait AT LEAST 15 minutes for your coffee in the morning, this is the place to go. There are many other options for coffee in downtown (us native Charlotteans don't like to call it 'uptown'!). I encourage you to visit Dunkin' Donuts in BB&T Center (just a short walk from here) instead of this place. The only reason why I didn't give this Starbucks one star is because when you do finally get your order, it does taste good! read more

Yet again it was another poor customer service experience at this location. I have held off several times on writing a review because I wanted to give them a chance. Six months is long enough and today I was livid with the response of one of the associates behind the counter. The only reason I give it 2 stars is because it's Starbucks. I am confused as to how this group can be so unorganized and why it takes so long to get drink. Just come out in he afternoon and see the masses waiting for a beverage. Goodness forbid they get sidetracked and forget to put your food in the oven. You'll be waiting even longer. I really wish there was a Starbucks closer to where I work. I would bypass this location. I usually grab a latte here after hitting the gym at CAC upstairs in this building. Service here is ridiculously slow! Tons of people working, but they are usually rearranging stock or doing maintenance behind the counter...instead of serving customers. My biggest peeve is the mobile ordering. I thought I would get around the ridiculously slow service by using the mobile app to order about 5 minutes before I leave the gym. This location obviously has not managed to master the mobile ordering, even 4 months after it was launched. I'll arrive at the pickup areas 5-10 minutes after placing my mobile order and still see people in line after I get there get their drinks before me. read more

I have been going to this location for years and come to this location about twice a week because I work in Founders Hall. On this particular day, I came here in the afternoon after work. The cashier was friendly, but as I'm waiting for my drink, I notice him constantly itcing his hair and taking off his hat. Also itching his face, all without washing his hands. I'm relieved that he didn't make my drink and will think otherwise before ordering if I notice him on the drink station. I also notice that everytime I order from them, my drink tastes different and they have to make it over. I order the same thing everytime. Veryberry with lemonade, but for some reason, they always water it down. I still plan on going to this location because of the nice service, I just wish they were aware of the other things that matter to the customer. read more

The Saturday Starbucks staff is terrible! They take forever just to acknowledge the fact that you even exist, let alone to take your order. I thought there was only one employee working there, but then I see two or three other employees pop their head out from the back room, see how busy it is and then don't even come out and help. It is ridiculous! And god forbid I order a sandwich it gets thrown into the bag and has completely fallen apart by the time it gets to me, come on! Everything else here were great except for the taste of the coffee. I ordered iced coffee for a couple of times here and it always tastes watery/thin. And if I order with light ice, it tasted even more watery. So I wonder if they add extra water to the coffee with orders with lite ice?!
