Unfortunately, this location has not impressed me in terms of performance or professionalism. There appears to be an unspoken bias in how customers are treated, and that perception becomes difficult to ignore when you experience it repeatedly. I place my orders under the name "Panda." It's not a common name, and that alone should make it memorable. Yet despite being a regular customer, I'm rarely greeted when I enter the store, nor is my name called out when my drink is ready. Meanwhile, I observe other customers receiving friendly greetings and acknowledgment. Over time, the contrast becomes noticeable--and uncomfortable. What makes this more puzzling is that I make an effort to engage with the brand. I bring my own cups, purchase merchandise, and consistently order the same item--usually a hot chocolate. Regulars are typically easy to recognize, especially when their ordering habits don't change. At this location, however, there seems to be little effort to observe or identify repeat customers, which speaks to a broader lack of situational awareness. This is one of the reasons I prefer Starbucks locations in Long Island City over those in Brooklyn. The difference in customer experience is significant. In LIC, the service feels more attentive and inclusive, while at this Greenpoint location, the experience often feels impersonal and dismissive. Currently, I am temporarily disabled, yet I continue to work through my injury. On a recent visit, I asked to use the restroom and was told I needed to make a purchase--despite being a frequent customer whom the staff sees regularly. The policy itself isn't the issue; it's the rigid enforcement without consideration or recognition. As a result, I had to walk four blocks down the street to find another restroom "my home " then return to continue my work. "Don't have WiFi at home" For someone injured, that extra distance matters. Ultimately, the issue here is not about a single drink or a single day. It's about the lack of observation, awareness, and consistency in how customers are treated. Customer experience is built on small moments--greetings, recognition, basic courtesy. When those moments are missing, especially for regulars, it leaves a lasting impression. The manager Jan is discriminatory and needs to be audited or at the very least dealt with so that she doesn't harass customers. Nasty attitude, unprofessional and I have called Starbucks Corporate at least three times regarding her and I don't know if they've resolved the issue. They have certainly lost my business. Stopped by the Starbucks across from McCarren Park (on the Greenpoint/Williamsburg line) and had a smooth experience, I ordered ahead through the app and my drink was ready right on time. The space is large and clean, with lots of natural light and a corner setup that gives it an open feel. There are several small tables by the windows that overlook the park--great for people-watching or getting a little work done. Music was playing but not too loud. Happy to report that the drinks are the same as every other Starbucks I have been to in the country. However, the five stars is for the service. Incredibly nice staff, always happy to take your order, kind and pleasant. John, in particular,takes his time to say my name and gets it right without me having to correct him. That's worth five stars in my opinions. Agreed with other customers about limited seating, but the seats they do have are comfortable. The space has a light and airy feel, I have spent many hours here working or just taking a moment to enjoy my latte and people watch. It's right outside McCarren park so they hit the jackpot, location wise. I highly recommend this location. read more

Came here again with a friend following a Covid test for work. The staff here are very friendly and recommended the praline latte. I was sad they have discontinued the eggnog latte but this was a delish drink. The location is comfortable, quiet and the restroom was clean. I'll definitely be back to this location. This Starbucks has amazing location, right next to t. It's nice and quiet during the day so for those that have the option it is a great place to work when the home office gets boring. The staff is cool. My only concern after apparently being spoiled by Dublin Donuts is that with Starbucks being the prices of the two I expect that my toasted bagel with butter come with the butter already applied. CAREFUL WITH THE FOOD. Due to not receiving a reply from the district manager after I left a message I decided to post this. On June 18. I purchased turkey bacon egg sandwich and my coffee. I started eating the sandwich in my drive to work and so happened to take a look at one of my last bites and this I what found. Mold in my food. Now I don't know what the quality, freshness checks are at this store, or if they even exist. But this is completely inaceptable and unsanitary. Kids come here everyday and eat their food. I did feel sick in my stomach for the rest of the day but nothing that made go to a hospital. But I don't know is kids could get that lucky, i don't know how much mold I might've exactly eaten. I'm not sure when this new one popped up. Was recently over in Williamsburg on a late Saturday. It was a bit too late for most cafes, after 7pm. So what to do? I dialed up Yelp and Van Leeuwen popped up, but when I walked by the place was packed. So I cruised the neighborhood a bit, and what to my surprise but I find a new starbucks facing the park. Being late on a Saturday, I didn't want caffeine. So I ordered a Comfort Wellness. It's a ginger orange chamomile blend, with lemon rooibos, licorice, fennel and peppermint. It hit the spot. This location is super convenient, and has nice views of the park for people watching. What's more it has really cute covers on the electrical outlines you'll find along the benches. Any establishment that sells food and has a seating area is required by LAW to have access to a public bathroom for customers. They denied paying customers access to their bathroom and said it was a new rule for 6 months where previously the bathroom was open. Do not support them, this is insane. I'm not a big fan of Starbucks but on this rainy day I was in the mood to sit at a cafe and just enjoy a nice cup of coffee and stare out the window. This was my first time at this Starbucks and its just like any other Starbucks. The staff are extremely friendly and the location is awesome. It faces the park which I'm sure on a sunny day would look beautiful. I ordered my coffee and a bite to eat but the seating there is not that great. For the location I would've hoped that there were more seats/tables available. I felt a little rushed as there were people standing and looking around for seats or for someone to hurry up and finish. I was there for about 10 minutes and left so that other people could sit. So much for wanting to spend some time at a cafe on a rainy morning. I've past by this Starbucks many time and haven't seen any outdoor seating. I think on days that's nice and not rainy, this location should offer outdoor seating since it's facing a park. Overall, the coffee didn't let me down at all and the feta spinach wrap was delicious. I would definitely come back to this location when I crave Starbucks again, but would be more of a grab and go. read more
