Upon leaving, I noticed that they only made a latte and not a vanilla latte. When I turned around and told them that it was the wrong drink, the barista kindly made it again with no issue. I go to many Starbucks all over Boston and the south shore. I get one thing: the Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino. This is the only Starbucks that GETS IT RIGHT EVERY SINGLE TIME. Their consistency is amazing. And it's multiple different employees too. I don't know what they're doing different here, but every other Starbucks needs to take a page out of their book. I'm already a crazy person for spending 8 bucks on a beverage; this one makes it so I don't feel like I wasted it. Pretty solid Starbucks. Lots of seating and outlets, and with it lots of work from home patrons and study folk. Some of the regular staff are particularly lackluster in terms of friendliness, and at times downright unpleasant. However there are a couple of staff members that tend to be much more friendly and about the craft who I always look forward to being on shift when I come in. Drinks are always prepared well. This Starbucks is always pretty clean, albeit not as modern. Their menu signs are never quite complete it seems, so you might miss a featured item since the sign isn't up. A bit bothersome for the aesthetically detailed people. Even so, the location and atmosphere at this Starbucks is great, and competes with the more upscale Faneuil Hall Starbucks for its lack of drugged out and sketchy patrons. Of course, smack dab in between the two you can also stop into the Marriott's bottom foyer for a no bullshit small Starbucks without the seating/interior. read more

I may be being a little harsh in this review, I mean 2 out of 5 stars is pretty harsh right off the bat. But I wholeheartedly stand by those 2 stars. Customer service. Isn't it what Starbucks, besides the obvious Coffee and snack time treats, is known for? I've had plenty of mediocre to bad customer service at this particular Starbucks. The most notable experience being several months ago when I decided to cut my ties of this location. I was waiting in line for a simple medium iced coffee. It's not fancy, and usually I order it with milk so I don't have to pour out the excess or ask for them to leave room. The woman in front of me was being a nuisance. Asking a lot of questions and making small demands. When she finally walked away to wait for her "took me 20 minutes to order" coffee, I walked up to the register just in time to listen to two of the employees getting all of their frustrations about the previous customer off their chests. Ok, I get it, she was a pain. But do you really need to talk about it behind the register where I can hear you? I might just be the next victim to your toxic spewing. Rewind to a time before. I ordered my iced coffee with milk, like I usually do. The person behind the counter hands it to me, with no milk and points to the table with milk and cream and tells me I can get it there. Yes, I know I can. But I didn't really ask for that. Why have iced coffee with milk on your menu if you don't want to add my milk to my coffee? (Lazy girl problems, I realize, but C'mon!) A shift supervisor, seeing my discontent, reluctantly and silently handed me a "Sorry your experience sucked here's a free coffee!" card. I wasn't buying it. Eh. I just got shamed at 7 am for picking up my mobile order after a run. I had a mask on and was told that I could not come in with a sports bra and running pants.. It is 80 degrees out. I just googled dress code and no where does it say that is a policy.. even during COVID19. Women go in with shorter crop tops than my sports bra is. I am a RN and take every measure possible to protect myself and others. Customers were staring and I feel that it was not handled appropriately. Not all Starbucks are created equal. This one pretty consistently gets out a good cup of coffee. I've only experienced bitter or water coffee when they are training a new barista. They redesigned the interior about a year ago. I personally find it less inviting and less comfortable. The staff has always been friendly (and over the last few years, I've been there a lot.) TIP: Grab a coffee and a snack and walk a few yards to sit on the benches and watch the sailboats bob up and down. read more

Bad service. Stood for 20 minutes inside with mask on and no one found my order the first two times I asked. I stood to the side to maintain social distancing from other guests and employees and some employee with pink hair barked at me in front of everyone, "YOU NEED TO MOVE AWAY FROM ME." As if I was a leper! Keep in mind I had a mask on, was separated from her by a counter & glass, and was standing as far away as I could while still being away from guests. I can't believe how rude she was. I understand being afraid during the pandemic, but there are nicer ways (and tones of voices) to ask. I saw her do the same thing to a man inquiring about his order, and there's another similar review about her on google. Management, check your employee. Guy at counter was nice and found my order for me, but getting yelled at at a place I'm spending my money = I won't be returning. Today I went to get iced coffee, venti size the guy who took my order was the same one who prepared them well I got just one right the other one was hot instead of cold so he was like ok he made the ice coffee but wrong size instead of venti I got grande from those two words there is a difference and he didn't gave me my receipt. This Starbucks has good service and pleasant background music. Tables are usually available with decent wifi connection. One complaint is that it's got a lot of visitors to...its solo bathroom! Sitting here a few times really changed my perspective and made me look more favorably upon coffee shops that don't allowed random restrooms walk-ins. For the majority of the times, the wait for the restroom here is at least ten minutes, which can be a bit inconvenient to say the least. read more

I passed by here several times but never made it in - always in a rush but this past Saturday, after a very long brunch/bridal shower with some friends, my friend and I decided to come in to get a drink. Asked for extra Matcha and shook, and it was done perfectly. The cashier was friendly and drink was done pretty quickly. It helped that there wasn't a line. Location is very nice. It snowed/drizzled a little earlier so the grounds were wet but the inside remained cleaned which was nice. The seating there were all against the windows so there was plenty of light unlike most other Starbucks. There were a couple of nice and combo couches compared to other places too, which adds on a more homey feel which i enjoy because we did sit there for almost an hour in comfort. Horrible service!!! so, we followed a girl in front of us and were in line for 7 minutes. The girl in front of us ordered and we were supposed to be next. Then some new people came in and started forming the line on the other side and the cashier (African American girl) took their orders. we went up to her(African American girl), started ordering and she told us she can't take our order and we have go back at the end of the line. We said we were in line, following a girl who just left in front of us but all she said was we have to get in line. First of all, there was no sign that says where the line forms exactly. Always consistently good service here! They once charged me for a grande when I asked for a tall and gave me a "free drink" coupon even though I didn't even notice the mistake! I used to come to this location daily but the last few months the employees just push their liberal agenda down your throat to the point where I'm uncomfortable to grab a coffee there. 9/10 times you're not going to get whatever you ordered correctly because god forbid the barista that's there is that one that's always rolling her eyes every time she has to make a drink acting like it's a chore. We get it everyone that goes to STARBUCKS works how the hell else could we afford a $7 drink? God forbid you order a head of time the employees look at as of your invisible so many times I've just reached for my drink under the plexiglass because after 5 minutes I got tired of being ignored! I work in a hospital and if I treated my patients like these associates treat the customers let's just put it this way your location wouldn't be open at all. It's bad enough when everyone from the north end see's each other at the Fanueil hall location and it's the same reason why we all switched because the other location has bad attitudes. I seen a familiar face from the real estate company and a girl they works at ups and said they switched locations because it was less of a headache to deal with. A few weeks ago this location closed down at 1 because they were short staffed and only had two employees please two years ago when this location was actually busy all the time you only had 2 baristas working Jeff and Ray or even Kevin and Jim or Loren or Jamal they could handle it! Like always, I ordered a tall tea in a large cup so that the extra water would dilute the strong as hay tea. When I asked for extra water, Ray the manager told me that in the future, if I'd like extra hot water in my tea, I'd have to pay for it. 53 cents to be exact. I ordered an egg white sandwich wrap with spinach hoping for something healthy. The wrap was obviously mass produced off site, the bread tasted like card board and the filling was gross.
