Unfortunately they have two new employees working the drive through line in the morning rush for over a month now an they are still failing to move the morning line through with urgency. Really missing the old morning crew who took initiative to get you through quick and efficient. The new employee who takes the order is non-inviting and takes forever to put the order in the system. There is one employee that we get lucky with every now and then. Really wish as a collective they would understand the work rush and to get us through more quickly. This is my fourth time visiting this location. I like the Starbucks on Highland much better. These Baristas are nice, but unfocused. I was given the wrong breakfast sandwich initially, tables were dirty, and there was no toilet tissue in the restroom...at 7 am. I asked if they could refill the tissue. Waited 20 minutes. Still no tissue. Baristas are currently chit-chatting and the place is not particularly busy. Looks like I'll have to drive to Rouses nextdoor to use the restroom. read more

My boyfriend and I had an awesome experience with Sofia, a barista at this Starbucks. We stopped in on Saturday afternoon to pick up some cold brews and a hot chocolate for his son. Sofia was sweet and patient, as we asked for help figuring out the difference between the traditional cold brew and the nitro. She gave us free samples of the nitro-- so smooth! This Starbucks location is by far the best one I've been to in Baton Rouge. Every morning that I visit my order is prepared very quick! (Except on Saturday mornings for some reason). My drinks are always made great. Staff I deal with are always very nice and it feels good when they see you pull up and they know what you want already. Got my oatmeal not very warm at all. Went back to the counter and asked them to warm up my oatmeal in a microwave for about 10 minutes. They said they don't have a microwave or a way to heat up the oatmeal. Did not offer to make me another one either! Not happy with the service, or that I didn't even get hot oatmeal. read more

I was going to give this Starbucks 4 stars initally. Good atmosphere, spacious, clean, good drinks. The customer service was ok, nothing special. But I wish I knew why they are BLARING the music. It feels like party hour, loud pop/dance music (that's probably not the genre but I don't know how else to describe it) at 5:30pm. There's about 5 people working at their laptops, including me. I understand that Starbucks is not a library, but it's a popular place to work, drink coffee, use wifi. Even if I wasn't working and just hanging out with friends, I wouldn't be able to hold a conversation. I'm thinking "are they trying to keep people from hanging out? Isn't that what people do at Starbucks?" A woman next to me agreed that it was too loud, she said it was the same last time she came. And that's why she was leaving. I just can't bring myself to be the person to go ask them to turn the music down, yet here I am yelping about it. If I visit again and the volume is lower I'll update my review. Maybe someone else will let them know that their music is too loud. My best guess is that they like to hear the music behind the counter while they're working and they turn it up to hear it over the blenders. Perhaps? Who knows.... read more

I came to this location post workout to do some work. I ordered a regular black tea and the turkey and pesto sandwich. The black tea tasted freshly made. The turkey pesto sandwich was delicious! Just the right amount of pesto. The store was clean and the staff was very friendly even asking how my day was going so far! About a month ago I made a purchase through the mobile app at this store. When I went to pick up the order, the store did not have one of the items I ordered. Rather than ask if I wanted to substitute something (which most stores do) the window cashier attempted to give a comp card worth $4. At that point I stated that the item I ordered actually cost more than $4. The cashier came back with an additional $4 comp card. About 2 weeks ago I tried to use the comp cards for my purchase at this same store however discovered they were never even activated! The cashier took my name and number and said she would have someone call me. Someone stating she was a manger named Jennifer did call. She said she was manager, apologized and said 2 activated cards would be waiting for me upon return to the store. A few days laters she called to remind me that the cards were waiting for me. I went to the store today and when I asked for the cards, the cashier went and then returned saying "today's manager, Liz, said she knows nothing about it it." I called this manager and she tells me, "I'm the only manager here and I am not aware of this." I asked that the regional manager (apparently the only manager named Jennifer) call me upon which I was told, "she's in a meeting today". It really shouldn't have to be this difficult. If refunds cannot be made through the mobile app, then individual stores should be keeping inventory in the system up to date and have a better system in place. Minimally don't try to steal from the customer and then insinuate they are lying. I will not return to this store. read more
