Hey, you know my wife and I love the independent coffee shops, but there are very few up around this area.... Having said that, this one feels like a neighborhood coffee shop for sure. Travis, Frank and all the folks there remember your name, your drink and really care about getting everything right! The coffee shop is always perfect clean and obviously well cared for. Not just a Starbucks. In fact, this is one of two Starbucks that I would ever give more than three stars to. I've been stopping into this place off-and-on since it opened in 2003. Since Day-1, the managers, the crew and the majority of those who hang out here have a great (I dare say "indie") spirit. There is a lot (and I mean a lot) of outdoor seating. 9/10 employees are great in conversation, whether behind the register or when outside on break. 6/10 customers aren't in the get-in-get-out mentallity, so they'll have a sit down over coffee with you and talk thru the finer points of the revolution. The level of Starbucks asininity is quite low here. For all the positives, it's still a Starbucks. Drip coffee is at an all-time low for the company. WiFi remains pay only via T-Mobile. A note that a weak unsecured signal can be picked up from outside of the store. Also, just like every other Starbucks in the nation, there's no power outlets to be found anywhere outside of the building. Despite what negatives there are, were this 'Bucks a 24-hour coffee shop, I'd be giving it 5-stars. They're open 'til 11 on Friday and Saturday, and 'til 10 every other night. read more

This is one of my favorite Starbucks. They have a large room and the tables and comfy chairs are well laid out. This is a great place to go study alone or with a large group. They are now enforcing the no smoking ban at their outdoor tables. If you want to smoke the 25' smoke free zone includes all of the patio tables. It is busy at the usual times but they are fast and seem to process the line as efficiently as possible. read more

Pros: * Consistently good service and a good overall vibe to the place. I used to drive pretty far to skip out on the two Starbucks on Parmer who suck at customering. I'm aware that's not a word. * They finally added some kind of recycling. Very happy to see this, though shops that give you the option for some form other than "to go" are probably greener. Still, I'm adding an extra star in the hopes that it will encourage Starbucks to embrace this further. Cons: * Do not come here with your laptop unless you've got battery life to spare. They already had very few places to plug in and get stuff done and now that's been pared down quite a bit. I was really disappointed to see this. I'd argue that this was a bad decision, but this being Starbucks, I assume it's now company policy. Try the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf like 100 yards from this location * Coffee is starbucks. So what if the location is a little awkward and hard to get to. Who cares? They have ample indoor seating. That's what I love about a coffee shop. A place with enough tables so that I can walk it order a drink and find an open seat to settle into with my laptop. This place offers that in spades. The people who work here are also very nice. Offering helpful Starbucks tidbits that I never knew. For example, did you know that if you take your Starbucks card and register it online, you can not only keep track of how much you spend, but also get a free drink after a certain number of coffees. Don't ask me what the number is...it may be 10 or something like that, I'm not sure. I just like that Starbuck's is giving me something for being a customer. Kinda cool. read more

This location is not "just another Starbuck's" and it's my favorite location thus far. The staff here seem to always be friendly and happy - yes happy. It feels a lot more like your local neighborhood corner coffee shop and I like that. The fancy, overpriced drinks are a corporate thing. I'm sure they'd change it if they could. I've often seen some of the same staff, and this is over several months if not more than a year. It's nice to see that. I especially enjoy coming in on a weekend morning when it's even more lively and the staff is usually entertaining. They even know some of their regular customers and remember their orders. There's more indoor seating than most locations, though I do wish the chairs were more comfortable sometimes. I'm one of "those people" that occasionally stays to enjoy my coffee or snack while I'm working away on a laptop. Oh but on that note, this location also has a rectangle table with power outlet stations, specifically for people w/laptops and/or meetings. Like I said, not just another Starbuck's. I have been a regular at this Starbucks for about 5 years. I'll go to other locations from time to time but this is my usual first stop of the morning. Let me preempt this with the fact that i am a pain in the ass. I like my espresso a certain way and i like my tea a certain way. Despite this, i am accommodated every time. No attitude no scoffing, it's done the way i like it every time. Even the new employees on bar will be interrupted by the senior staff and asked "is that for Joe? Let me show you how to make it." It was nice the first time but I'm blown away by the fact that it happens EVERY TIME! No exaggeration, every time. The senior staff always makes sure that I'm taken care of. Despite the many faces i have seen go in and out of that location, the standard has been consistent. The new building is beautiful well maintained and i cannot say enough good things about the staff. read more

It is a cafe only store (no drive-thru) with a fairly large sitting space and lots of tables. They also have a nice setup of outdoor seating as well. The store is clean, and the staff is super friendly. My drink, which has a couple less-common modifiers is always made correctly. My one complaint about this location is that they are SO SLOW. Even with just one or two people waiting for drinks before me, and with plenty of friendly and attentive staff there beside them, it just takes forever. This is a popular location (cafe is usually packed) that can get really busy, especially on weekends and when that happens, prepare to get some quality time to work on that next level of Angry Birds while you wait for your drink. read more

The location has moved to corner. Unfortunately internet connection speeds are so slow to make this location unworkable. I did an ip speed test and got 0.1 Mbps, as compared to my home which receives 20 Mbps. This has been the case for a visit here last week. What is up with that? read more

This is one of my favorite Starbucks. The staff is super friendly and since the store is larger, there's never a problem finding a seat in the morning. Tables are clean, staff is friendly, and the drinks are consistently great. What's not to like? The wifi...it's consistently slow. And the lines. I just recently discovered the Starbucks rewards and have been having a jolly good time for the past few weeks ordering fancy, creative, fun and way- to- hard- for- me- to- make- at- home, highly caffeinated drinks. Did I mention that I love coffee and the experience of sitting outside with my little dog pretending that I am back in Paris at a little cafe? So, Sunday, I waltzed in with anticipation of ordering a pretty and sweet Pumkin kind of fall drink. I said to the guy taking my order his much I love getting refills (I have been gulping down my sweet perfections, then getting a coffee to go on the rewards program). He looked like I was speaking Greek, then he looked to another worker and she came by. I repeated my enthusiasm, when she grabbed the rainbow right out of my sky and said, "You can only get a refill on the same type of drink. You can order drip coffee or tea and get a refill if the same." I wasn't really anticipating a discussion at this hour on a relaxing Sunday. Here it what she pointed out. The whole point of the rewards program is to keep free refills all day. You have to order the exact same drink and under no circumstances can you get a fancy express type of fluffy coffee drink then get a refill of a regular coffee. So the ONLY way to get a refill of coffee is to order actual drip coffee. We went around and around on this, ironing it all out. So let me get this straight, Starbucks. You ONLY reward cheap coffee drinkers...of any size coffee that can clearly be made at home. They sit at your tables all day, hogging up seats. This is your business plan. Reward cheapsters. Or me, I was going to enjoy the ambiance of a coffee shop in the fall, spend more and get my refill of the best caffeine and skip out until the next time. I have been doing thus at the place on 620 and this one on Anderson. The lady even said that if I have been free refills of PLAIN coffee after drinking a fancy coffee then that was wrong and that she would let them all know to stop this mistake immediately. So your staff WANT to give free refills only to people who order plain coffee. This is on the website and app. I didn't have my phone or my glasses with me so I couldn't check. I ended up getting the biggest size of BORING plain coffee. I had to add my own cream and sweetener. I choked it down in frustratuin and thirst, thinking all the while that my newfound gig was up. No more frilly drinks with a plain coffee refill. Then, discussion began outside as my Shi Tzu began making friends. So we were able to go online and check. Interesting stuff can be found on the Starbucks website. I went back for my free refill and explained that the website says what I had been saying. She stood her ground but at least this time said that she would check into it. She was the shift lead and there was no manager there. I hope that someday, this girl will own and manage her own company and that she will see what I was trying to explain. read more
