This place is the absolute worst! I've sat at the speaker for nearly 5 minutes with no one taking my order. I've had to drive away multiple times without my coffee because the service is sooo slow on r nonexistent! Three cars ahead of me and it's taken over 10 minutes to get a coffee. Dive through much? I do but this time I was a walk in @ 8:30 AM on a Wednesday. Location: it's right off the main highway which makes it easily accessible. Getting back onto the highway is a straight shot. Not much of a line as you can see in the pictures and my beverage was perfectly done. Venti Soy Chia Latte: 5 Stars! I love the windows in this place. The morning sun gives off great energy and warmth! Space: there is ample seating inside and outside weather permitting. A place to Study/Work: Obviously there are wooden tables and wooden chairs. The outlets are situated accordingly and offer two plugins for each outlet. Most of the seating is in front of the store and far enough away from all the coffee making. However, the entrance door is going to be cold in the winter. Keep in mind, this area is a college town and students will fill in the spots when school is in session. I have been here in the evening time and it gets cozy. Bathrooms: clean and away from the seating area. I like that. Customer Service: as expected well trained with a smile. Close to my office: HowToStarAnLLC.com and its employees are happy to have a Starbucks near by since there isn't anything near by that serves great coffee. I come here when I'm in the area, even when going to the little strip mall that I frequent because 1, they have drive thru, 2, they aren't as busy as the other location on Washtenaw (with the worst parking lot ever) and 3, their customer service is always excellent. I ordered a spinach feta wrap, and the first two were almost frozen in the middle. The guy who helped me the third time gave me a third one, gave me a freebie drink coupon, AND tried to refund my money. I told him that was ok. Their customer service here is always wonderful, and I will be back. read more

Came for one of our rare Starbucks meet ups and we could tell the place was well decorated with lots of holiday goodies and decor. But one of the downsides was that the employee that was taking our orders wasn't paying much attention at all to what we were ordering, and in the end, one order was wrong. However, the barista was very enthusiastic, cheerful, and engaging in the short time of making our drinks. They also fixed part of the problem with one of the orders. Not the best Starbucks we have been to, but it was fairly quiet given the Thanksgiving holiday tomorrow. Bathrooms are clean and space is adequate. read more

Although this Starbucks is located in A2, since it's a bit far from the U-M campus, there are fewer people here. However, because there is less seating, seats do fill up quickly during peak hours. I can see why this location is popular, though. It happened at least during the one day I was there studying for a few hours, either customers forget to grab their drinks they ordered or the baristas must make a lot of mistakes. Either way, it's great for the rest of the customers currently in the store as they offer these extra drinks for free to us! read more

Smaller than most other Starbucks locations, which can make finding a table difficult at times, but the lines are always short--even the drive through usually is not backed up. The staff friendly, and the coffee has never given me reason to complain. The wii-fi usually hooks up quickly. A great quick coffee stop on my way out of town, or a good place to linger with my laptop and power though the day's work with the aid of a Venti. read more

This review is more of the actual product rather than this location. After visiting a handful of starbucks I realized that they really don't have much to offer me. The iced tea is really really weak. The black iced tea can be mistaken for green tea, and the green iced tea can be mistaken for mint tea. The coffee misses the mark every time. Maybe i'm just ordering the wrong thing. The few times I have been here, the staff is always helpful and friendly and I'm sure they aren't intentionally making booty drinks. read more

This particular Starbucks feels like a proper "local"(ish) coffee shop - the staff have PERSONALITY! You can't teach that to corporate baristas - they either have it or they don't. This is my favorite Starbucks in this area . I am a Starbucks gold card member since 2015 so my visit to Starbucks is very regular. Every time I visit this place it is clean , well maintained and very good service. Most of the baristas here are friendly and they make an effort to know me . I don't have any thing special to say about Starbucks coffee because it is a chain coffee shop and though I am a Starbucks gold card member still I don't think they serve the best coffee. And from price point of view it is super expensive. But still I will be a Starbucks member for its excellent customer service and huge variety of options and of course for my free points and my free drinks . This particular Starbucks has plenty of free parking space which is the most important factor for me choosing this over Arbor land Starbucks. read more

this is the closest Starbucks to my house and I the most convenient drive thru to access a highway. however, today was about the 10th time I've ordered a breakfast sandwich, only to drive away and find it is ICE COLD. I have gone inside and talked to the staff and they know about it. I've even gotten free drink coupons after complaining... but it's appalling that the management clearly knows about this and has done nothing. I had this problem with the veggie artisan sandwich and the turkey bacon sandwich. I shouldn't have to say 'well done' when I order food. it should simply be DONE when served. I live near here and find it extremely convenient to use the drive-thru. Unfortunately, they are really slow and have given me the wrong drink/size several times now. I wanted to give them another chance so I just went through to get a salted caramel mocha and spinach feta wrap to take with me to my study group, and yet again I am soo disappointed! My sandwich was cold, and soggy and my coffee was room temperature and missing ingredients, like caramel! Best Starbucks in Ann Arbor. It seems like this is the only Ann Arbor location that does their best to be both correct and efficient. Patrick, Danielle, and Gregg always make sure my orders are correct and handed over with a smile, I really appreciate that. Rarely do I ever have to wait long for the drive thru and mobile orders are almost always on time. However, when they are not, employees don't seem to really go out of their way to apologize or make things better (minus the three I mentioned above), so that's why I took off one star. Your basic Starbucks: Clean, well staffed, decent parking, and a drive-thru. This location is much quieter than the Ann Arbor location but does not have as much seating. There are however a few more private seats left of the register; which also keep you out of the way of drafts. Drinks were accurate and inside service was fast despite the busy drive-thru. read more

This is my regular Starbucks, so I'm here often--often enough to have seen plenty of changes in the staff. Regardless of how often the faces change, what doesn't change is the friendly and excellent service. The new staffers learn the regulars' favorite drinks quickly, which makes you feel at home and appreciated. And unlike the children "working" at the Carpenter location, the staff here has never once--in my four years of coming here--kept me waiting while they conducted personal discussions. Always I'm greeted quickly, the staff are friendly, and my food & drink are spot on. Today the barista offered to grind any coffee I wanted for a pourover, because I mentioned I wasn't fond of the current dark roast. I'm not generally a fan of Starbucks coffee (Caribou is my favorite place in A2), but this location has earned some of my loyalty. I was in a car accident in front of this location last fall, and almost immediately someone from Starbucks came running over with steaming cups of coffee, cream and sugar for us while we waited for the cops. She asked if there was anything they could do at the shop, which there wasn't, but we thanked them profusely. Later, I stopped in so I could use the restroom and get directions to the mechanic's on my phone, and the manager asked if everything was all right and again if he could do anything for me. I just think that's above and beyond what most places would do, and I am grateful for it. This is in a strip mall, and I didn't see any other employees from the other stores come running out to offer aid. read more

I agree with everything the gentleman who provided the first review of this fine establishment except the number of stars. All of the kind people there have served me with professionalism, kindness, and respect. I have been going there probably since it opened and, to date, never had anything but the best of what I ordered. I'm especially amazed at their enthusiasm and consistent excellence at every early morning crush of patrons, particularly in the drive through. The staff here is nice, but they literally run out of soymilk every week. 3 times now I have been told "we're out of soy, come back later." On 2 occasions, I've also had the "soy" part of my order ignored (got regular milk) and have had to return a sandwich when they forgot my "no cheese" request. Because I am lactose intolerant, this is a deal breaker. +4 stars for being friendly and close to my home, -2 for poor awareness of/ attention to food allergies.
