This Starbucks is a new one for me, I hadn't been in before but it has a nice ambience, and the fire being lit, made it nice and cosy. As the seats around the fire were vacant, I snagged them. The staff were happy to fulfill my request for the Oatmilk Protein Matcha ice drink, as I wanted either strawberry or cherry foam, and light ice. I really dislike ice, and drinks that are super cold, they give me brain freeze. Husband got a 12oz drip, which was served to him right then. We also got a slice of lemon cake. So we sit down to wait for my drink, and we're people watching, there's a couple of ladies crafting, and a couple of people on computers etc, no one seems to be waiting to be served. The drive through window is busy though, however as there are 5 staff working, they are more than covered. I waited about 20 minutes for my drink, I went to check once, husband went to check once. Eventually drink was served, but no lemon cake, we had to go back and ask for it. More annoying was the fact that my "light ice" drink was more than half full of ice, so every time I took a drink, I got brain freeze. I am going to explain my ice rule. In a soda, WHEN I AM IN A WARM STATE SUCH AS HAWAII OR CALIFORNIA, I specify 3 ice cubes, and I will remove any that are excessive. in AK I ask for soda with no ice. Ever. Period. If i get ice, I won't drink it. In iced lattes, I always ask for light ice, because I just don't like it. And I make no apology for it, though servers always seem a little confused by this. In USA, ice is the default, in England, you'd have to ask for it, and I am English. I don't want it. So that's why I've taken 2 stars off what would have been a good review. The length of time to make my Matcha Latte with too much ice was unacceptable with 5 staff on duty, forgetting the lemon cake, and having to tolerate constant brain freeze because I was given full ice. "Hi, the handicapped areas among your parking, doors, and seating are very badly planned. I park in the "Handicapped" parking space at the end of the building (toward Minnesota). We park in said place and the closest door is not open. We walk my elderly mother to the front door; it is like an 18-step walk but my mother is extremely fragile. We get through the main doors and there is the handicapped seating. We settle there with my mother (because she can't walk) and order for drinks, lemon pound cake slices, etc. It is nice. Then she needs the bathroom and we walk her all the way back to the bathroom. And stay outside the bathroom . Then we walk her from the bathroom to the handicapped seating by the baristas. She sits a few minutes and then we support her as we walk out of the Starbucks main entrance and past a 13-car slog to get back to our "handicapped" parking space. Really disappointing. And of course placing the "hsandicappped" Perhaps you could install a ringtone at the entrance by the handicapped parking space. Then again, walking a handicapped person up to the "handicapped" seating can be a slog. The handicapped seating is right in front of the main entrance ("brrr, the winds of April, May, June, July, " etc!). I am very sure that the shop could be handicapped-accessible; this last time it was not. It's okay, we probably won't take my mother there for coffee ever again. I just thought I might mention it. And I understand about locked doors; teenagers can be such a pain in the ass. read more

I try to give these guys a shot but once again, so disappointing. I just walked out without ordering. Stood at the counter for a good few minutes and not one of the 3 employees even acknowledged me. Not even a "hi, we'll be with you shortly." The service has always been and continues to be disappointing. I bought a cup of ice for $7. I ordered a venti iced matcha tea latte with LIGHT ICE and I got a sip of drink and a cup full of ice. I had to drive to my work right away so I couldn't go back in to complaint. So I vent here. No, they were not busy. No, I communicated clearly for the light ice (you can even see it in the label). I don't know what went wrong. I went there to reward myself to feel good and I left feeling fooled. What a joke. read more

The wall of Benson pups is such a cool bulletin board to peruse while waiting for your triple venti no foam with whip seven Splenda latte. That's not my drink. It's just a leftover memory of a drink I had to make when I worked at Starbucks during college. I just asked for an iced Americano with light cream. It is also obvious this store is involved in their community. In addition to the pups board, there was grounds for the garden all packaged up, and donation items for newborns. The staff seemed tired and over worked. They weren't so much unfriendly as they were just non-friendly. One employee was drawing pictures on the drive-thru window, one was staring at the shelf of teas, and one was busy making drinks. It struck me as a sort of juxtaposition between service industry workers and a nation in the potential remnants of a pandemic. My drink was made to order, but it had too much cream. The barista noted it might be too much mild and suggested I try it. She happily remade it when I confirmed it had too much dairy. The lobby was busy and the parking lot full. Maybe expect a short wait in the drive thru. Secret Starbucks note: head inside for a slightly quicker experience (maybe). The lobby is usually faster than the drive-thru. Secret Starbucks note #2: The pastry case and packaged items around the counter pair with different coffees. Ask the barsita for a recommendation. read more

This Starbucks is relatively new, located across the street from busy Carr's Aurora Village. I'm not wild about the small parking lot! It can be cramped, especially in the wintertime with all of the snow. As for Starbucks in general, if it weren't for the high prices, I would surely continue to be the regular customer of the day but, I instead enjoy at home, my bags of Starbucks coffee that I buy on sale from the grocery store. HOW-SO-EVER, we stopped in here last night after church, on a cold blustery winter day. This store has later hours, open until 8 p.m. and the service has been consistently friendly. Our pour-over Pikes Place decaf was delicious and get this- actually worth the price! During the wait, the staff was congenial, and to see their smiling faces was definitely a pick me up and highlight of our weekend. read more

I went to this location to pick up an order and the staff were extremely rude and unhelpful. They also were moving purposefully slow once I told them I was there for a pick up. One of the baristas started stocking lids first before prepping the order, and the lids were not out of stock in the first place. They can really work on their customer service. read more

After coming down here a few times, I can easily say this is one of the better Starbucks locations for me and the newest one in town. This spot is located behind Walgreens on the busy corner of Benson and Minnesota across from the Wells Fargo building. The seating area is the more recent wood-paneled, glass wall living room setting compared to the more subdued and dimly lit look of the older locations like W. Tudor and Dimond. The employees here are a lot nicer than ones I've encountered over on the south side by Target where they quickly greet you with a smile instead of frowning and retreating into the back room. Outlets are mostly located under the bench seats for convenient plug-ins with the exception of a wall outlet by the entrance. The menu is pretty much the basic Starbucks menu with the usual espresso and snack offerings although some of the newer promotional drinks are the better ones that the franchise has come out with recently. Salted Cream Cold Brew is a refreshing drink with a smooth taste and a light sweetness. It is also a plus that it is prepared on tap with Nitro, one of only two locations in town that have this available at the counter, the other at the recently remodeled location at Lake Otis and Tudor. When I first heard this location was opening last year, I was immediately leery because of its close proximity to the Starbucks in Carrs Aurora Village across the street, but I find that this location is a lot more spacious and not as crowded as the nearby Kaladi's or Middleway Café at the neighboring strip mall. read more

Yeah, it's another Starbucks. Yeah, I went there. Spare the hipster rhetoric, call me a lamestream yuppie if you must. This location is located on my way to work and has lowcarb food (love those bacon egg bites...just wish they didn't have rice starch in them :-/). Believe it or not, there isn't a single coffee shop that's convenient on my morning commute. Starbucks found a niche with this location. Service was friendly, but a little slow. I'm sure they'll work out the kinks though. read more

This Starbucks ticks all the boxes except for its very slow WiFi and it could do with a few more outlets for people bringing their computers in. Nice warm fire, good service and the usual SBUX coffee. The location is great, with plenty of parking, but I suspect most of their business will come through the convenient drive-thru. I had the most awful experience just now. I was waiting in line for 10 min. The Starbucks line was backed up past the bend and out into the parking lot and pass-through. So I left a gap in the line for traffic to flow by. This lady who was waiting behind me, cut me off and filled the gap. Furious, I parked into the the parking lot and went inside to see if the line was smaller, there was still a line. So I went out and tapped on the lady's window and told her "I just want you to know I left a gap in the line for traffic to pass through not for you to cut me off." She looked at me and just replied "no." As I walked away this other lady from Starbucks came out and tried to regulate and said something to me. I yelled back at her "She cut me off!" So I went inside to wait in line. The lady who was trying to regulate went inside and sat in the seat with a laptop. There's no dine in, so I'm guessing she's part of staff/management. She didn't bother asking or inquiring about my situation. Didn't offer any assistance. I was clearly frustrated. She just sat on her laptop and continued to talk and text. So I went and got my coffee, saw the lady in the grey jeep who cut me off, get hers through the window and drive by without any repercussion. Stood by for another 5min until my coffee came out. I feel disrespected in so many ways. I'm done with Starbucks. read more

I go to Starbucks very rarely because there's only 3 drinks I really like that I can't get anywhere else. But the espresso usually taste very burnt, the drink is very thick from the syrup, and it tastes overly sweet mixed with that overpowering burnt espresso flavor. This is my first time going to this location and they seem to be the only Starbucks that knows what they're doing! I've been to about 6 or 7 other locations and it's been the same everywhere. At this location the drinks are so much better! They don't taste burnt and there's just the right amount of flavoring in them! The staff was so friendly and sweet too! This might be my new go to for coffee! read more
