First time patrons at this Starbucks location and it was a wonderful experience! We decided to park and go inside to order our drinks. We were instantly greeted by a friendly barista and placed our order. The store was clean and inviting. I noticed a sign stating that this Starbucks has converted into a "commuter location" which means there are no tables available inside to hang out or outside patio areas, and it's now an inside 'grab & go' storefront and a drive-thru. The barista who served us our drinks was just as friendly as the first and we had a nice casual conversation about the Holidays. wow... i went to this starbucks to order a drink ive had before and well... lets just say it ruined my week. i ordered 2 matcha lattes with lavender cold foam and when i received said drinks they had CHUNKS of matcha powder stuck on the sides and bottoms of the cups, it was so bitter if you would've drunken that with a blind fold on not knowing what it was you would've thought i poured swap water into a cup. it was SO bitter, and overall horrible experience to drink. read more

This has been a regular stop for me when traveling south from Portland to Southern Oregon or further - always a pit stop. They are always friendly and prompt, operating a very clean establishment and they also have a very high batting average with quality and correctness of the order. I volunteer picking up litter in my town! The following is my experience (and report to our towns council and police department) with Starbucks at the corner of Hill and 9th street in Albany OR. It has a very nice landscape of foliage and rock gardens, but it has lots and lots of debris imbedded in both - and not obvious from the roadway - and absolutely among the worst maintained garbage bin enclosures I've encountered! ** I may have spent more time there than I did at the U-Haul the other day, as virtually every time I began to depart, I'd uncover more debris! This also seems to be characteristic of Starbucks in general, and one reason I'm no longer a customer, as their facility on N. Albany Rd. is similarly unattended - though their garbage bin enclosure is slightly better maintained! (However, the latter is likely a result of it being shared with other merchants!) Btw, Starbucks lack of attention to site cleanliness violates our towns ordinance requiring merchants to dispose of debris on their grounds! read more

This has become my go to Starbucks in Albany. It's not great it really is a three star experience. But it's the best Starbucks experience in town these days. I think if I had to factor in the parking it would be a one star or a zero star so be warned there are approximately four parking spaces for the Starbucks. All of the other adjacent parking is owned and managed by the adjacent businesses and my understanding is they will tow. I don't know for sure but I've heard that one of the businesses has entered into a predatory towing agreement with a local tow company. Which means the tow company will patrol and tow even when the business is closed. I would say that this is a good drive-through only option but even that is challenging with the size of the parking lot and the way the traffic patterns are as you exit. I really think Starbucks made a poor location choice with this one from my customer experience perspective. If I were Starbucks I would be doing my best to snap up the buildings around this location not necessarily to tear them down or even relocate the businesses that are in them but simply to get a unified parking lot that could be utilized by their customers. Starbucks has the money to do this I'm sure and it should've been part of their plan all along. read more

Bad customer service always spells my name wrong and they don't support our troops and they're uptight atmosphere makes people uncomfortable

This is the only Starbucks that screws up my order every time. I always ask for a sweetened iced coffee in the drive-thru, and guess what- it's never sweetened. Today the worker who handed me my incorrect drink told me that their system is different than most Starbucks, so they have to hand write "sweetened" on the cup, and they forget?! At least that's what I got out of her story..... She was very kind and corrected my drink, but please check your order for accuracy before you leave the drive-thru. read more

Never open when they say they will be online. Make simple drinks wrong a lot. Very frustrating.

I will say that almost 90% of the time I have been here it's been right when they open or at least early morning. I have always had good service getting my coffee here, hell even the occasional sandwich. They have always been speedy and in my experience haven't gotten any of my orders wrong. I usually get a Carmel mocha and it's good every time. 5 am and not usually many people in line, so I imagine it's not hard to get my order wrong like others reviews I have read. I love Starbucks! Not only for their drinks and friendly customer service, but the entire aura at this particular location. To my surprise, we also came during Happy Hour week, so holiday drinks were BOGO!! This location has a small parking lot, but it's a decent size with lots of different study spaces. A decent number of people come through, but it's not overly packed/busy. They also have a drive thru! Inside, there are also great restrooms that are not gendered (which sounds odd to point out, but when you're studying there for hours, this is important!). The staff are nice, but service is a little slow. Because of their location their drive thru is always ridiculously busy and the parking lot is tricky to navigate being so small and busy, but that's not their fault. They typically get my picky drink order correct, not always. They play country music occasionally, which is just not fitting with Starbucks and not great background music for working or studying. Went through the drive thru this morning for an iced latte as usual. As always, it's hard to here them from the speaker due to heavy traffic on Pacific. It's not uncommon to have to repeat my order a few times because of such. I understand this can be frustrating for them as well. Once I got to the window, I was handed a hot latte instead of iced. I told the young lady at the window that I thought I had asked for it iced. She was very polite and said no problem and turned to have it corrected. The young lady working next to her with the name tag of "Casey" appeared aggravated and without even looking at me said that she repeated hot back to me when I placed my order. I apologized and said that I must have missed that part. I understand working in retail myself that customers get annoying and after repeating things back to them several times to confirm, it's even more annoying when they don't listen or miss something you said. But I also know working in retail that you never point out what the customer missed or did wrong. You always put customers first. Having an attitude while working a drive thru window is not good for business nor does it allow customers to leave having a good morning at all. It puts everyone in a foul mood that had to deal with that one employee. I only gave a two star because the young lady actually working the window went out of her way to be polite. I will not be returning to this particular Starbucks in town and given that there are others close by, I will use them instead. read more
