My usual morning can be pretty hectic between driving to 3 different schools (not including mine) at different times, crabby kids, and getting myself ready, I normally don't always have time to indulge in my morning coffee in the comfort of my own home and sometimes I like to treat myself to the deliciousness of an ice cold creamy pumpkin chai. I have been to several different drive thru coffee shops and none compare to Dutch Bro's and this is why. Service: I have never had to suffer through a bad experience there. I can almost guarantee that if you are having a bad morning and visit a Dutch Bro's location, you will leave there with a smile on your face. I'm not sure where they find their staff, but they are seriously some of the most friendliest and energetic people I have ever met. Not only are they friendly, but they are fast! Last week I was running super late and I wanted a pumpkin chai before having to sit in classes for the next 4 hours, so I took my chances anyway and arrived at Dutch with only 10 min to spare before my class. Well when I got there there I was even more nervous because there were already several cars ahead of me but of course that was not going to stop me and when I was pulling into the line the barista was jogging to my van with a smile on her face, ready to take my order. It had only taken 3 minutes from ordering to receiving my drink! Last but not least, the staff want you to love your drink and if you don't they will either remake the ordered drink to your preferred way and or make you a new drink altogether. Location: Dutch Bro's currently have shops in 7 different states and 250 locations in Oregon alone! In Albany we have 3 locations within a 3 mile radius which is very convenient because if 1 location is too busy, you can just drive no more than a mile to the next shop. I love that wherever I am in Albany, I am within a 5 min drive to a Dutch Bro's. Variety: Not in the mood for coffee? That's ok because coffee is not the only thing they offer! Aside from their 8 signature drinks, there are smoothies, infused teas and sodas, shakes, hot chocolates, kids drinks, and snacks. They even offer non dairy substitutes. Regardless of age or drink preference, I'm sure you will find a drink that you will enjoy. Oh, and don't forget about their secret menu! Taste: Out of the many coffee shops I have been too, Dutch is my absolute fave! It doesn't matter which location or who makes the drink, they are consistently delicious! By far they make the best pumpkin chai! The right amount of Oregon chai and pumpkin flavoring makes me feel as if I am in a pumpkin patch on a crisp fall morning. Price: We all know that coffee from coffee shops are not cheap but the last time I checked, they are cheaper than other big coffee chains and my favorite drink in a medium size (24oz) is less than $5! Also, they give out punch cards and after 10 drinks, your 11th is free! They also have monthly specials and sometimes offer double stamp days. Their 24oz americanos, iced or hot with flavored syrup if wanted are less than 2 bucks, so even if you could only come up with the change found in your car, you could still get a coffee that is better than the coffee made at work. So if you are looking for a coffee shop that tastes amazing, will help you stay alert and awake then start your day off right with a good cup of Dutch Bro's. read more

Stopped to get some caffeine on the road trip. Same process as a lot of other Dutch Bros. Waited in line. They had two going opposite directions on both sides of the small building. Someone with an ipad takes your order. A little guilt to tip since they ask you and enter it on your behalf. Seemed a bit quicker as it wasn't as busy as usual. Anyways, I got a small hot carmelizer without whip cream. It's my favorite drink at Dutch Bros. And it didn't disappoint - kept me up for the drive. My drink is never right when I order at this location!!! I'm not one to leave bad reviews but this has happened more times than I'd like to admit when visiting this location. I always ask for my rebel double blended and make sure to ask that they truly double blend the drink. They always leave huge ice chunks in my rebels and it makes the drink taste very watered down. I would rather staff tell me they can't double blend my drink rather than assure me they will and then not follow through on their word! read more

I payed 12 dollars for them to mess up all three of the drinks I ordered. I ordered 2 candy cane hot chocolates and instead they gave me coffee with milk and whip cream, then I ordered a green apple smoothie with Carmel and they forgot the caramel. I can't suggest patronizing this particular Dutch Bros because they seem to almost encourage blocking traffic going to and from Ace Buyers. This Dutch Bros location also has lines that back up into Santiam Highway which, of course, is an awful safety issue. Mass produced coffee and sugary drinks aren't worth a car accident. read more

Great customer service, but my carmelizer yesterday was so gross, in fact bitter! It reminded me of gross Starbucks! I hate saying that because I am a loyal Dutch Bros girl! Maybe it was a new employee, who knows but it was not like the D-B's I go to. I have been to alot of them, and in different States! Maybe I should have asked for that whipped cream it might have made it taste a little better! I could not finish my drink! I am a Sales Manager and in customer service as a profession so good customer service to me is just a standard and to WOW me takes a lot! WOW!!! I received AMAZING service here and GREAT coffee! I didn't know what to order because I had never been to a Dutch Bros before. As soon as Joe, the barista found out it was my first time he went out of his way to make it a great first experience. I told him I wasn't familiar with the menu but if I told him what I like could he make it? I told him & he made my coffee exactly to my specifications and it was delicious! THEN he threw in an Iced Coconut/White Choc. Latte because he wanted me to have another coffee to try. As I went to pay he said it was "on the house today since it's your first time to Dutch Bros."!!! I told him we are in the process of moving to Oregon and he gave me a BIG "Welcome to Oregon, we're glad to have you!" Then he gave me a punch card with 9 punches out of 10 to bring back for a free coffee next time! I was blown away by the generosity and kind service here! I felt like Joe loves his job and loves giving his customers great service! Coffee is an important part of my daily routine....I will be a returning customer! We don't live in the country but every year when we come home we fill up several loyalty cards at this must stop coffee creation shack, we love them. We have never had a bad experience only good coffee and a friendly smile. We recently visited Dutch brothers at the PDX travel center in Portland. A wonderful place better than Starbucks and you don't have to take a loan out for a cuppa coffee. Go Dutch! read more

Unfortunately, this location is the reason I will never again visit Dutch Brothers. I have had consistently poor service, and one experience left me very upset. On my lunch break, I swung by this location to pick up a drink for my husband. There was only one car in front of my when I pulled up. I waited for 13 minutes. The barista was leaning over the window just chatting with the customer. I had a feeling she was doing that for just a big tip (as is the Dutch Bros custom). Sure enough, after 13 long minutes I saw him stick a 5 dollar bill in the tip bucket. When I finally got up to the window, there was no apology for the wait. There were 4 baristas working, and they werent doing any work, just standing around giggling. I had to repeat my order twice to thr barista. One of the other baristas came up to the window and said, "I'm sorry she doesn't know how to do her job" and started laughing. When I finally got my drink, my lunch break was almost over. I was upset, but didn't say anything. After that experience 2 years ago, I have still not been to a Dutch Bros. They have been consistanly rude and flirted with my husband mercilously just to get a tip. I tried to contact a manager, but there was no information online. read more

Knowing it was a late drive after a day of tailgating and a long game, I figured I could use the caffeine for the drive back. i love dutch bros but this stand is a bit confusing and not the friendliest staff at least today. A car pulled up next to the backed up line and instead of a runner taking the order of the next car in line they ran over to the car next to the line to immediately take their order and then headed inside. If this is some kind of express lane order, please mark it or let everyone know, otherwise it just feels like some jerk cut in line and the rest of us have to wait. I get to the window to order and all they say is what would you like? I order and am ignored for the duration of my unusually long wait for one drink. The music is blasting and they are all talking inside, but what makes dutch cool is the customer interaction and experience. This has to be my favorite place in the world! They work hard no matter what the weather throws at them or how heavy the customer load is. There are a multitude of reasons why the location is always packed. The coffee is great, but the quality of service is why I always come back. High quality service is the bottom line. A cup of coffee can just be a cup of coffee or it can be a ray of sunshine on a dark day with the right kind of service. These good people have brought that sunshine to many dark mornings for me. If I could give these coffee shops ten stars I would! I am from Southern California and we were told that Dutch Brothers coffee was a must! We visited a few shops in our stay in Oregon. Every single location was staffed with the friendliest, most down to earth people! Awesome music playing in the back ground, very casual people working. They all asked what we were up to and actually seemed interested in getting to know us. We decided to be adventurous and ask for "surprises" so they got to choose the coffees for us, not one person was disappointed!
