I stopped by with my son for a sweet treat while camping for the holiday and was pleasantly surprised by this bakery. While the building is a little outdated it's clean and had some outdoor seating which was nice as the day was great. My son loved the viewable cases and excitedly picked out his cupcake and I had a peanut butter brownie which was outstanding. I can't comment on the cupcake but my son devoured it so I'm sure it was good. My brownie was fudgey and had a nice crispy edge. The frosting ontop was creamy and light without being overpowering on the peanut butter. It had a nice chocolate drizzle that gave it a little extra texture and crunch. I certainly would stop by again if we were in the area!

Loaded breakfast empanada

Exceptional. We came to try the empanadas. I was so impressed. I can't say enough how good the loaded breakfast one was. Buttery and crispy. Mmmmmm. Nice drive from Salem too. I can't wait to go back.

Some people have fancy traditions. Ours? We go eat overpriced frozen yogurt and somehow convince…read moreourselves it's healthy because it isn't technically ice cream. That's called parenting math. A buddy of mine used to take the kids and me here years ago, and everyone called it "FroYo." I still don't know why. It sounds like a rapper from the '90s, but I rolled with it. This time I brought my son, and we approached those yogurt machines like two scientists with absolutely no supervision. A little cookies and cream... some cheesecake... maybe swirl in a flavor that has no business being mixed with the first two... then pile on enough toppings to make the cup weigh about as much as a bowling ball. Here's the dangerous part: you pay by weight. Every gummy bear, Oreo crumble, brownie bite, and handful of sprinkles feels free... right up until you reach the register and suddenly you're wondering if you accidentally put a down payment on the yogurt machine. Was it worth it? Absolutely. The place was spotless, the staff was friendly, and the selection of flavors and toppings was fantastic. More importantly, watching my son's face light up reminded me of bringing my daughters here years ago. Those are the moments that stick with you long after the yogurt is gone. I've been to frozen yogurt shops that felt tired or picked over. Yogurt Extreme in Albany, next to Fred Meyer, is the opposite. Everything was fresh, clean, well-stocked, and just plain fun. Five stars from me. Great hospitality, great cleanliness, and great value for the experience. Just one piece of advice: maybe don't tell your kid, "You can put whatever you want on it." That's how a six-ounce cup turns into a frozen yogurt mortgage.

I used to go to the one in Corvallis, but due to a recent move we went to the Albany one. Will…read morecertainly be coming back!! Many flavor options and even more options for toppings, and a weight-based pricing system. Cups were sturdy and didn't melt. Froyo refroze well if you want to take it home and have a long drive. Staff didn't give us a hard time like others are saying, interacting minimally and seeming very professional and nice. The only real complaint I have is that several flavors were out, but it might just have been the time of day, and for some reason the flavors did work if combined with an alternate one (They have a swirl option)?? One of the froyo machines was taken out of the wall to be refilled and let us see into the back, but that didn't really impact anything negatively, just a bit weird.

Outstanding Service @ BJ's Old Fashioned Ice Cream in Lebanon, OR. !!…read more Luckily we arrived before the crowds began to gather on this warm Sunday afternoon. There was at least 20 people there when we left. Service by Taryn was outstanding. She was friendly and attentive to us and all patrons. She stayed focused and patient through all the orders and everyone wanted something different, not just simple single scoop kind of desserts. I'm not sure why there would be only one employee on the weekends in the summer months, as it would have been more ideal for her to have help... I also would have liked the option to leave a tip on my card, but thankfully we had a little bit of cash to put in the tip jar. The ice cream parlor itself had lovely old school wall art, cute dessert themed decor, and many places to sit throughout. Great selection of flavors, sizes, cones, and toppings. They also had caramel popcorn, pre-made ice cream sandwiches, brownies, and chocolate covered frozen bananas for sale! Thanks Taryn! You're a Star!!

OUTSTANDING SERVICE from the poor girl who was on shift all alone in a Saturday night…read more When we got there we were 30 deep in line. A couple big families and few duces and couples. She held her own. Smiling working fast and friendly. It took a while but we got our ice cream. Good for her hard work, determination and persistence. I hope her company knows how hard that shift was. And the ice cream was great. When I'm back in town, I will go again!
