Perfectly located on our drive from Boston to Amherst! We flew into BOS on the red-eye and headed toward Amherst when we found this Starbucks. I was almost ready to have coffee at a Dunk n Donuts (gasp), since that seemed to be the prevailing coffeehouse in these parts. Thankfully, my app saved us from that fate, and we found this Starbucks! Lots of local school kids (mainly teenagers) coming through on their way to school. I also saw some interesting parking and quick running in for the take out. The inside of the store isn't very big, but that might be because a lot of their business is order ahead and pick up. After navigating the streets of Boston and managing to skip all the tollbooth's we were heading towards Amherst and knew we needed coffee desperately This was easy to find and was a good place to stop for a break. We arrived during the rush hour when the space for drinks that were ordered ahead was over-flowing. There was a constant flow of customers picking up drinks the whole time I was here. We know things are crazy with COVID, but the manager refused to let us let our child use the bathroom. We are very serious about the COVID protocols and would have worn masks and kept very clean. I was here at 4:30 on Friday in February '23 hoping to have a quiet cup of coffee and was horrified at the noise made by the Starbucks staff. It was literally unbelievable as they yelled, laughed and chattered to each other across the shop at high volume. To top it off just as I was about to order the staffer walked away to hear a story from another staffer rather than take my order. Overall, this is a great place. Parking can be a little confusing, but they've got plenty of "customer only" spaces since there's no drive-thru. In the early morning when commuters run in the lot can be full and the line is usually 2 minutes, but you'll probably get in and out within 5-6 minutes because the Baristas seem to work together really well. I've always had very friendly Baristas who are good listeners - they can customize your drink without messing up - which is rare at some Starbucks where one person takes your order and a different one makes your drink... so props to this location! I'm giving it 4 stars because I got a grande Pikes today and the coffee tasted like it had been sitting out for too long - it wasn't gross, but it wasn't nearly as fresh as Starbucks usually is - especially for a morning cup, which was pretty disappointing. I got through the line pretty quickly though because most people were ordering Espresso drinks - which are obviously always fresh, unfortunately, there were probably 5 people who had already ordered at the time and they were all still waiting even when I was done mixing splenda and milk to my coffee. Today I ran in and out, but this is one Starbucks in the area where you can actually sit down at a table and chat with someone, or sit and read or work by yourself. Yes, the tables and chairs do fill up, but they've probably got 6 or so tables for 2 and then probably 5 big comfy chairs - which is a lot more than most Starbucks stores. They've got a decently large selection of pastries and other sandwiches/food if you want to eat there, and they sell a variety of coffee and cups which are great for gifts. read more

I've never been much of a Starbucks gal - it's almost like you need to learn a foreign language just to order a cup of coffee. But I was looking for some free wifi while I killed an hour of time and decided to give this place a try. It's Starbucks food and beverage. Meets the corporate standard. Service is slow - just like any Starbucks since it takes so long to make one of those froo froo coffee drinks. I was most disappointed in how dirty this place was. Only 1 table occupied - the rest of the tables were dirty. Lots of napkins, straw wrappers, sugar packets on the floor. I counted 4 baristas behind the counter with nobody waiting in line. read more

This is my absolute FAVORITE Starbucks that I have visited in Massachusetts (and I have been to many!) They are always incredibly friendly upon arrival, prompt and deliver your coffee/pastry with a smile. My boyfriend and I visit sometimes early in the morning and other times later in the afternoon. Both shifts are equally friendly and proficient. That says a lot about this location. Also of note, Taylor always goes above and beyond to please the customers and make them feel welcomed. He mentioned how wonderful his manager is and what a wonderful place it was to work. That truly shows. Great jobs guys!!! read more

yikes...this place is filthy, Starbucks should come and see what a trashing of their brand is going on here. That coupled with the absolutely slow service makes this bottom of the french-press of Starbucks. Frankly, I was really taken aback, usually a Starbucks is decent for places to sit, etc, but I will need to scour my laptop and my shirt sleeves - from the state of the gunk stuck to the table and floor, it has been days since these things have been wiped down. Also, lots of hand written warnings/notes about machines broken, items out of stock, or things they cannot do - including warning you up front about having to wait longer - this is like some dude went out and bought old starbucks shit, and opened up his own - rogue Starbucks. read more

Not often am I offered a free 4th shot in my latte, instead they will normally dump it down the drain per store policy. The layout is great. Same for location. Parking lot is an easy in/easy out. I've been going to Starbucks in Acton for years. A few months ago I would have given it 5 stars. However, several months ago, a new manager ("Bree") has made the trip very unpleasant. She's surly to the point of angry (voice tone, lack of friendliness and abrupt gestures) and clearly has some anger issues that she is taking out on the other staff. It's really hard to watch and have to be in that space. I'm probably going to go to another location regularly (concord or boxboro) until they get rid of her (inevitable).  I'll also complain to the corporate people.  This morning topped it---two barisstas were overwhelmed trying to serve and also take orders from customers.  It seemed they were short-staffed. Nope. Bree finally emerged from her break--angry-looking of course--and begrudgingly pitched in.  Someone needs to know what's happening in Acton. read more

This starbucks team has issues. Including creating mobile orders and not putting them out where the patrons can see them for pick up. After waiting patiently I found out they had put my order on the shelf and not on the rack with all the other mobil orders, thereby forcing me to go to the register and ask for my order. The manager of the store offered no apology and even laughed it off as "oopsie, a mistake". No offer of a free beverage, just move along. I've had constantly bad service at this location over and over again. I called corporate and advised them about this store. I refused a refund to drive the point home how bad it was. read more

I don't drink foofy coffee. I drink strong, black, raw coffee. I will say that up front, because I can not really rate coffee shop baristas - only the cashiers and venue. I frequent this 'bux over other options because I have a pile of saved of gift cards, so hey, free coffee! Also, I very much enjoy that coffee. I bring a travel mug (Oxo, never, ever leaks) which makes my free coffee a bit cheaper. Parking is usually cake, and service is very quick. Occasionally there is a line, but rarely does it take long - unless there's a guy charging 20 gift cards for last minute Xmas presents. Yeah, that was annoying. Food is as expected at any location - except here are no CAKE POPS - grr. But I rarely get food anyway. The space is nice and large - with some outdoor seating which is a nice perk. The staff is usually very courteous, and no one flinches when I pay using the Starbucks app on my phone. I have two gripes, however. First - iced coffee goes through the barista?! its coffee and ice, in a cup. I hate.. HATE.. HAAATE waiting in line behind all the venti-light-whip-lo-fat-one-shot-sweetened-with-a-kiss customers. I just want my coffee. If I were reviewing in the summer, after waiting for an iced coffee, I'd probably give them 2 stars. Other gripe - the road leading to the parking lot. It has this dip - and I mean DIP - that is diagonal, so each tire on your car hits this thing, sending coffee rocketing in all directions if you are not careful. Its really a horrible situation to have next to a coffee shop. Another reason I try to stick with my travel mug. read more

So I'm picky about my coffee, a bit of a coffee snob. I also like my coffee shops to be comfortable. I love this starbucks because the staff is super friendly and usually there is a table or sofa chair available. As far as accuracy on the barista end of things I've never had a problem. They are consistent and efficient. I would add that if you are a computer user and like to sit down for a while they have limited outlets and I would recommend bringing a power strip. A lot of students and teachers go there after school and so the plugs go fast. Oh! This starbucks also doesn't mind if you stick around of more than an hour or two. My writing group meets there and we've been there for nearly three hours. I've been to others and they almost kick you out after you finish your drink. There is outdoor seating for the warmer months which is amazing and a private parking lot. The lot does tend to fill up quickly though and there are a number of reserved spots for other businesses in the building which you cannot use. All in all one of my favorite 'Bucks around! read more

I was one of the first customers 5-10 years ago and went to this Starbucks 20-30 times per month. They have almost always been good at getting the drink right and having great employees. However, last month they "renovated" and turned it into a people herding place - move 'em in and move 'em out. I used to be able to meet my husband or daughter for a coffee or tea. It had a community feel to it. When they renovated they took out all the tables that were good for meeting a friend for a cup. There is only one high long table and 3 two-person high tables... not so good for the child that I used to take there either. The only low spot is shoved in a corner with two seats pointing out the window. I am sure they were required to do this for handicapped. This, to me, means Starbucks is not interested in the community but is instead interested in herding people in followed by moving them out. Lastly, unfortunately their store was not very clean. The floor, tables, and windows were always dirty. I know they were very busy but that just means that they have to work harder at cleanliness. read more

This S'bucks location has been messy/dirty every time I've been there. Parking is problematic in that they do not have sufficient designated parking spaces. We usually have to park in the strip mall's lot across the street; not tragic, but annoying. The young women who work there seem more interested in each other than in the customers. read more

Something to take to heart: don't go on a rant about standard Starbucks policy to a customer when you yourself did the exact opposite. Don't blame the customer for your mistakes. Don't blame the customer for your short comings. If you make a mistake, own it. This location is so hot and cold with service and consistency it's absurd.
