Nick installed a new water heater, but still could not get our hot water to turn on. We live in a condo and the electrician that our property manager had scheduled to come out and check the wiring was not able to make it. We were told it would be a few days until he would be able to come out. On Thanksgiving week! We really didn't want to go another day without getting hot water. Nick took it upon himself to bring in his trusted electrician. It took them most of the day but Nick refused to leave until he took care of the problem. He knew busy, cold days were ahead of us and after more than 6 hours of work, together they were able to get the job done! We are very grateful! Thank you HOAG plumbing! I knew this was the right call to make. I contacted Mr. Castillo and scheduled an appointment for him to come to our home and give me an estimate. Mr. Castillo arrived fifteen minutes early and immediately began looking for the cause of the leak. He was very friendly, professional, clean, and outgoing. Within thirty seconds, Mr. Castillo identified the problem and gave me an incredibly affordable quote. I agreed to the price. As he began working, he discovered two additional issues with the pipes under the sink. Rather than raising the price for the new problems, Mr. Castillo assured me the cost would stay the same, even though it would require a few extra pipes to fix. My first impression was that he was honest. I decided to tip Mr. Castillo more than I planned because of the great price and the extra work at no charge. Mr. Castillo finished the repair in twenty minutes, cleaned up the area, and left it better than when he arrived; my sink was fully functional again. Castillo's Plumbing is now my go-to plumber for any future plumbing needs.

We first called him when a gas leak was discovered on our property, which ultimately required significant gas line work and replacement of the main line from the meter to the house. Most recently, he installed a new water softener and took care of several other plumbing items for us. He has consistently been reliable, knowledgeable, honest, and very easy to work with. He communicates clearly, shows up when he says he will, does excellent work, and takes great care of the property while he's working. His pricing has always felt fair and reasonable for the quality and scope of the work, and I appreciate knowing that the job will be done right. He also leaves everything incredibly clean when he's finished. On our most recent job, he hauled away the old water softener, took all of the packaging and debris with him, and swept up afterward. It's clear that he takes pride in his work from beginning to end. Worst experience I've ever had with a plumbing company. I called today to have someone come out and…read moreassess an issue with my bathroom. When the plumber arrived, I walked him through the problem. He didn't seem to do much troubleshooting and appeared to be guessing what the issue might be rather than thoroughly checking. He quickly told me he was going to call his boss, Albert Diaz, for further guidance. After the call, he came back and began checking other faucets, but still only inspected one bathroom, even though the two bathrooms back up to each other. He gave me estimates for a couple of options he recommended. Because of how long the work would take, and because he had arrived late, I told him I would reschedule. Shortly afterward, I received a call from Albert Diaz asking what had happened. I explained my interaction with his plumber and told him that I felt the plumber was guessing and that I didn't feel confident or reassured by his diagnosis. Albert apologized and explained that the plumber was new and that he would work on additional training with him. I genuinely appreciated his response because I was simply providing honest feedback about my experience. The conversation changed when I began clarifying the estimates I had been given. It turned out that the plumber had mixed up the quotes, so I was trying to make sure I correctly understood the pricing. I asked, "Just to clarify, it's $500 just to run the camera through the toilet?" My intention was simply to confirm what the $500 charge covered--not to minimize the work or suggest that it wasn't worth the price. Albert appeared to take offense specifically to my use of the word "just," as though I was downplaying the service. That was not my intention at all, and I attempted to explain that I was only confirming the pricing, especially since I had already been given incorrect information. After that, Albert asked who had referred me to him and then told me that he would not be providing any services to me. I found the way the situation was handled extremely unprofessional. As a customer, I should be able to ask questions and clarify an estimate--especially after receiving conflicting pricing--without the owner becoming offended or refusing service. I was initially appreciative of Albert's willingness to listen to my feedback and address the training issue, but unfortunately, the way the conversation ended completely changed my impression of the company. Very disappointing experience, and I would not recommend this company based on the customer service I received.
