run away this place is filthy. chairs are all worn out super scary. i would give it minus 5 stars if permitted.

Star nails was my saving grace as I was in desperate need to get a new set of acrylics for both toes and hands, the minute I walked in, the customer service was through the roof as I was paired with one of the most talented, patient and keen tech named andy, I'll never forget his soft application throughly the entire process. He also helped me step out of my comfort zone and try a new style and color that I love. As a tourist, I would book a trip to come back and do my nails again here, they definitely make you feel comfortable and at ease read more

I spent a lot of money (+$80) and time so that my hands can get butchered and polish be misplaced. Nothing about my manicure or pedicure deserved any stars. I really tried to remain calm and patient with the elderly woman who tried her best. At the end of the visit I expressed my concerns and they said sorry and didn't try to make the situation better. A group of girls wanted to look at my hands as I was leaving as a reference point of their services and they all also agreed and left. I went straight home and pulled out my cuticle cutters and nail file to try to make it look better. Im disappointed with this salon. read more

I have been going to Star Nails for over 10 years recently a new owner took over the place is a disaster now I would not recommend it to anyone had an appointment for Saturday morning at 9 a.m. when I went in there they said I didn't have an appointment and could I come back later cuz they only had to techs working today on a Saturday every single employee that worked there for all the years I've been going there quit because of the new owner I was extremely disappointed today also the new owner is very unfriendly doesn't even thank you on your way out the door so I left and told him I would never be back and went to the Dania Spa on Federal Highway in Dania Beach it was a great experience read more

The worst I have ever seen. I have been here a few times. Today was my last. Not only do my nails look terrible, they hurt. The feet are also horrendous. When I mention that they were sloppy looking, they tried to fix it by cutting the cuticles. Pictures don't do justice to the horrible job. $52!!!! read more

I have gotten good service here thus far but I was VERY disappointed when I saw something this morning.I was sitting there getting my nails done when a dark skinned lady walked in and asked to have her nails done.Andy was there alone,he told her she has to come back tomorrow...5 mins after a Spanish light skinned lady walked in aakinh for the same thing and he told her 30mins he can assist her...I swear this just changed my entire perspective of this place...why do we have to treat people different???? This is a person ..she is willing to pay for a service that is being offered just like the other lady....this is very sad...we are all humans despite the color of our skin..we all have to die one day and if you cut us it's the same damn blood flowing in our veins....c'mon Andy..you gotta do better than that.... read more

the new management fired all the good workers. Now this nail salon is empty most of time, they are neither workers nor customers. if you are lucky enough to have someone attend to you, they will provide a mediocre manicure. read more

Terrible! I should have guessed it when it's the second time I've been there and there's no one working or customers. Very bad service and honestly I received the worst manicure and pedicure of my life! read more

Arrived yesterday because I needed my nails done badly for umf. Service was super fast Paul did a good and fast job with my gel manicure. It was a little pricey than what I am use to at home. Only thing I would say is that he didn't oil my cuticles or applied lotion on my hands afterwards but that's fine. My gel mani took 30 mins, usually I would be annoyed if the nail tech was rushing but in this case, I am glad that he did such a good job at such a short amount of time because I was on a time crunch lol. I would definitely come back here again. read more

The WORST, MEAN PEOPLE. Stay far away!! The first 2 times I was there they were nice. Today I walked in, I think the exorcist grabbed a hold of my nail tech. She yelled at me for the 1st 10 minutes and then I told the owner, and the owner defended her!! So I told them I am not paying people who yell at me. So she told me to leave. If I were you, I wouldn't step foot in that place. read more

Very convenient to me so it became my 'go to' place but I've had to give up and go elsewhere - I walk in about half-hour after opening, there is maybe one tech in there who looks up (no smile, no real greeting, just a look), I greet them happily and tell them what service I'm looking for. Basically, I get no response. I stand around waiting, I can hear the nail techs talking in the back, but no one comes out. I ask 'how long?' and the one nail tech tells me '10 minutes'. This has happened to me 4 times now. I'm done with this terrible service and being made to fee like I'm a nuisance. There are plenty of other salons. read more

Loved my time at star nails! Extremely relaxing and well taken care of. Ken did my nails and I definitely will be returning to him.

Came here on a Wednesday evening as my neglected nails I couldn't stand looking at anymore. Conveniently located in the same shopping center as the Wal-Mart Neighborhood Store, Dollar Store and Aquarius on Sheridan Street. So I thought I would give it a try. Manicure Pedicure pick out your color and sit in chair number. You know the drill. Usually always feet first. What was special about this place even though I was probably the last guest of the night for this manucurist she did not rush and paid attention to details. Nice pedicure and the color looked great on my toes. Next manicure same attention to detail no feeling rushed. Both hands and feet looked great and still do. As you know the true test is when you leave how it holds up. Was the nail polish to thick or did it smudge? Now for $32. It was great. I might just have found a new place to be a regular at. read more

Star Nails is a place that works better during the weekdays; and the reason I say this is because the first time I went there, It was a Saturday, and It was crowded, to the point there was people standing waiting. but even though you can get attended by one of the staff to get your manicure or pedicure, they would do it in a rush or really bad job ( and I can't even imagined the women who go there to do their nails, but to the end they get a bad job done because of the rush of the staff). But I went a Thursday, and the experience was totally different from that Saturday I went. there was not a lot of people, So that meant they would take their time to do what you ask for. In both cases I went it was for an ingrown toenail. Amy (or Tamy, I quite don't remember her name) was the staff member who help me and she did quite good job. Star Nail is really affordable for what I got, which it was the regular service of Manicure & Pedicure. but definitely go weekdays or weekend but with appointments. read more

I have been going to this nail salon for about two years and they always do a great job! Huge nail color selection, very reasonably priced and very experienced friendly nail techs. They take many precautions regarding the corona virus including temperature check, Plexiglass between you and the tech and hand sanitizer at each tech station. Highly recommend! read more

This is not a fancy or gimmicky nail salon, its a hole in the wall ... & they are terrific ! ! I am so glad i found them & there is no issue w polish chipping too soon. Every time i get someone new, thats their default if your a walk-in which most customers do, and all the techs do their job correctly, 100%. If you have an issue like in grown nails or sensitive skin, just tell them. Its amazing that they will remember for next time. The employees keep to themself, there is very little talking. The price is reasonable, the polish colors are excellent. Nail shape, waxing, it is all solid ... right on the money. This is a good business. If you want, you can always call in advance and request the same tech each time. Anyways without an appointment there is usually no wait or its minimal. Just pick a color and they will take you. read more

Went in on Friday evening. Girl "D" was training and very nice and personable, but older lady did my pedicure. When I got home I discovered that 2 toes' polish messed up and she didn't push cuticles back. Also edges of toenails were unpolished. I called Kim Saturday a.m. to see when I can come in to get them repainted. She started taking polish off of only toe with messed up polish. I asked that she repaint them all. She replied with, "that would be a repolish" I took it exactly how she said it, as if she intended to charge me for a repolish. So, I said, "I spent over $40 in here yesterday and I'm not paying anymore money." She said, I didn't say I was going to charge you!" I said then why did you say it would be a repolish? I know it's a repolish, since that's what I asked for over the phone. Awkward, now I'm sitting here and she's painting my toes in silence. I will never come back here. Not only that, it's hot and they have the doors open. She put me in a chair where the massage feature is broken. I said, "what about that vacant chair?" And she said, "I didn't clean that one yet". I bit my tongue because what I almost said was, "well, clean it bitch" No wonder this place isn't busy. read more

This is not the fanciest salon in the neighborhood but it's super clean and they offer excellent affordable service! I went in today for a gel mani and pedicure and to my surprise they took me right away without waiting and immediately prepped my nails for the soak off. This salon is beautiful - clean, comfortable, stylish and all the technicians are incredibly accommodating. Tony is the best!

FRIENDLY STAFF & GOOD PRICES. After relocating here, I found Star Nails through Yelp. I had really good service and them some that was medial. I stuck with them however because their prices, location and availability worked for me. The place isn't all decorated up however it's clean. I now am going to Amy for pedicures and manicures and her sister Farrah for Gels and fills. These ladies do a great good. I've also used Tina who is very good. Again, it's not a spa atmosphere but everyone there is very accommodating and friendly. And... You can't beat the prices! read more

I have been going to Star Nails for approximately 15 years. Tina, the owner, is great. It is clean, you can just walk-in or make an appointment. It was recently redecorated. All new pedicure chairs. It's easy to park there. It's closed on Sundays, but open until 7:00 pm during the week. read more

Petty nice place. I went in on a Wednesday morning, no appointment, and they took me right away. I had my nails done with Amy and she was super nice and helpful, and my nails looked awesome. I am writing this after 2 weeks and none of my nails are chipped and look decent. I will be going back again to get them redone. For the price point it's very good. It's not perfect but for that price you can't beat it. I paid $30 for the gel manicure. read more

Place is not bad $10 for a manicure is a great price. The only problem is the acrylic smell kills me I am so used to not having to smell that in a salon anymore. I did wait 30 minutes on friday around 3:00. Also, NOTHING is disinfected which is gross. The reuse the foot pumice 100 times and people's dead skin is stuck in it! Won't be going back here. Charge $1 extra and clean your place up! read more
