Dad referred me for an alignment on 07 Chevy Avalanche. I was the only customer at 9AM...YAAY!…read moreManager stated $40 for diagnostic & if no problems then $80 total. I agreed. Called my dad to let him know everything was all set! My dad asked to speak with the manager & verify that I purchased a front & rear alignment. Now, the manager is reluctant. Then...the mechanic begins yelling at me with a wrench in his hands, "look lady it's either $40 or $80 we not talking to no one because "YOU PEOPLE" don't wanna pay." Immediately, I had them to put my truck down, paid the $40 fee that the mechanic cohersed me out of by refusing to lower my truck. Now, the manager tried to get me to stay & I declined. YES, I LOST $40 in 10 minutes.... I took my business to Axle & Wheel Aligning Company off of Ritchie Road. Gladly paid $20 more AND GAINED a 40 min wait time, a mechanic that greeted me with respect, cup of coffee & a "get it right the 1st time attitude" and peace of mind. Moral of the story....you get what you pay for. MY DAD & I will gladly pass by 5710 Telephone Rd on the way to Axle & Wheel Alignment Company, EVERYTIME. They don't have PTSD over $40, that "OUR PEOPLE" never caused. I do not recommend for service.

To my surprise i made an appointment that same day at 4 since they were "so busy" in which i showed up on time and was told that they only had one mechanic. I asked Gilbert to check the tire and stem valve in which he replied we don't have your size tire. Gilbert didn't even allow the mechanic to check my car before coming up with a diagnosis that it was my tire. He then referred me to Almeda and couldn't even give me the address to the Walmart. DONT COME HERE, they will just waste your time.

I drove in to have my oil changed, and apparently I needed an appointment, but I was desperate. my oil light was flashing and any flashing lights on my dash I get very anxious, so I believe he could see that in my face. I let him know the sound my car made and he asked if he could check my oil level so he could add some if needed and it wouldn't be until 10:30-11 am I could make an appointment. so I said ok let's do that. so I felt like I could breathe again. He checked and it was dry , he even looked up my car and gave me the kind of oil I used to top me off with until I can get it changed. I went in the store to buy the oil and he came and let me know his oil tec can change it now I didn't have to wait after all he could do the appointment and my car at the same time and so I said yes thank you Lord!!!! and Mr Gene!!! so of course I wanted to tip him , I don't know for his kindness. he could have made me wait I didn't have the appointment but I believe he saw that desperation in this girlies face and I appreciate people who go beyond there comfort zone to make someone's day so I say God bless him and his tec for easing my mind and making my day it could have been worse. Thank you Mr Gene for your outstanding customer service to this nervous old lady!!!! Hope you have a wonderful day!!! see you in 3 months young man. By the way he didn't take my money for the tip he said no thank you I was doing my job , I'm the manager here I would appreciate a review!!! And so here I am !!! This company and the owner is completely dishonest. Completely…read more I took my car to Mike many many years ago for a prebuy. During that encounter, I will NEVER forget how disrespectfully he spoke to his mother who was at the counter helping him run his business. After moving back to Houston and desperately looking for a trustworthy TDi mechanic, I decided to give him another try. It was a huge mistake. Mysteriously, Mike and team said my car had an issue with the immobilizer and would not run. I happen to know quite a bit about these cars. So I played along, waiting for Mike to fix the "issue" with the car. Days of waiting for them to get the work done became weeks. And weeks became months. Frustrated, I found reputable people online who repair the clusters from these cars. They go on to tell me that Mike is lying because the year and model of my car make what he claims the issue to be impossible. I called literally every week for an update and got the same answer "Mike isn't around, can I take a message?" Never did I get a call back. Never did I get a reply to my emails. So, after six months I had the car towed across Houston to another shop, and intentionally didn't tell them about what Mike had said. A few hours after it was towed there they call me and we're very confused. The shop owner literally said "there's nothing wrong with this car." He programmed the keys (which I could have done myself) and it ran perfectly. There was and is no issue with the immobilizer. There is and was no issue with the speedometer cluster. I've now been driving it for about a year without a single problem. Mike is dishonest. The guy who answers the phone for Mike and lies for him is dishonest. And, who talks to their mother that way? 2008 and I'll never forget what I saw from a grown man on that day. I was warned, and now you have been, too. Let me clarify a few things here just so there's nothing left for interpretation. As the business owner states I did not "finally" pick up my vehicle. You never fixed my vehicle. You never answered or returned my calls You never replied to my emails (photos of which I'll upload here for future prospective customers to see). If you didn't reply all you have to do is post those photos.... But you never did. So, after you failing to be able to program keys to a car, again something I've done myself to VW's, another shop did it in under an hour. You just didn't care and you made no effort to communicate with me at all. Ever.

Quoted $2,118 just for coils (parts costs). Quoted over $2,000 for a partial tune-up (2 coils). I found the parts online, 8 coils, 16 spark plugs, wires for $192-$550(performance). I can have it done at the dealership for far less or I can do it myself! Median range for this job is way less. I guess you could use them for diagnostics. Feel like Kacal's is way overcharging.
